Half chicken plate.. 2 sides of moro and plantains!! Plus mango juice

authentic Cuban food!! Plus mango juice hit the spot!! Came midday so fairly quiet but served quickly. Will come back again when in Miami! Food was flavorful and so very delicious and price was reasonable.

It's a nice place to go for a good hearty meal. Their breakfast and lunch specials are good and their dishes are well cooked and tasty. The presentation is so-so, and so is the service; and the service goes downhill from there when they get busy. Prices are reasonable and the place is kept very clean. Overall, it's a nice place, but not great.

Ordered the bistec sándwich here. It was okay to be honest. Loved the mayo on it but they definitely could have placed more of the fries on it.

I've been coming here for many years and has always been a solid spot to stop in for empanadas and a cafesito. Also their lunch it's pretty good and most of their staff is very friendly.

Awesome environment, great food and a little blast from the past. My boss and I stopped by here for a quick bite before the lunch rush and were delighted to find an old school like cafeteria. Rarely do you see cafeteria eight the old diner bar look. The food was delicious and the servers were great. Had a traditional media noche (midnight) sandwich. Did not disappoint. If you're in the area and in the mood for Cuban sandwiches, stop by, I know I will.

Nice place to come if you are looking for an overloaded breakfast. Latin american food but is not traditional food just regular food. I can't say that the attention is perfect but is not that bad. Prices are a little bit high but it is just a little bit in my opinion. I try this scramble eggs with bacon and fries and it was pretty good. In general el tropico restaurant is OK.

Lechon asado, yellow rice and plantain

Fast and friendly service. Food is typical cuban, taste fresh from the island. Lechon was well seasoned, soft and fell apart without effort, yellow rice had a good taste. A lot of food for the price IMO...plate pictured was on the menu for $9.99, definitely worth fighting miami traffic to head over.

Tostada & cafe con leche

So in all honesty, this ain't the most quaint...but it also ain't the most lame of establishments. No they are not trendy, decor is outdated and service is neither here nor there. Yes, health inspectors may come and find a few surprises and I'd probably never use the bathroom here nor would I have lunch but I strictly come out of pure convenience... Its the only place that I know of close enough to work that serves a regular ole tostada con café con leche...Cuban style! Its my favorite type of breakfast and this little shopping center find fulfills the craving without all the bells and whistles. Now its nearly impossible to mess up on this breakfast so the 3 stars are solely dedicated to the food while the lack of stars is dedicated to the establishment which in my opinion deserves a little TLC.

This has to be by far the best pargo frito i ever had!! It is consistent every time it's delicious worth every dime and worth the wait!! I love this place!!!! For many reasons, most of the girls are really nice and welcoming. Living in Doral gets very challenging if you done speak Spanish. it's hard to find a place in Doral who is willing to communicate in English as well.. so I like that! I get to practice my Spanish lol but more than that the owner is super humble and by looking at that place you wouldn't thing that the food is that great.. I know I was skeptic at first.. but between my colada my churrasco and my pargo I am never going to stop coming here, and if you haven't.. you should stop by and check them out

Such was the other day when dropping & picking up my car from the auto shop a short walk over from Rinconcito. It's located in a strip mall - along with a few other restaurants - on NW 36th Street next to Palmetto Ford. Needless to say, after starving all day at work and rushing to pick it up before closing time, I was famished and stopped here in my repaired car. The dining room space inside is pretty large, plus they have a few outside tables. My waitress was casually pleasant: not the same level of attention you'd expect at a white glove spot but I wasn't ignored either. I ordered the somewhat healthyish Pollo a la Plancha. Served with cut up onions, a dash of sazon completa and two lemon wedges, this was huge! It took up the entire real estate of a plate, such that the sides were on a separate one. The chicken had good taste & texture, and again, the plate was large and filling. The moros (cuban rice) was with red beans, instead of the black beans I prefer & of course I loved my platanitos (fried plantains). Oh, and cafecito was had. I definitely needed the energy!

It's a great place to grab a quick meal without feeling like you're sacrificing quality. Service is quick and efficient, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you're looking for good food that's affordable and served quickly, this place definitely hits the mark. I'll definitely be coming back.

At around 10:05 PM, I called the bakery side for assistance and the employee who answered hung up on me. When I approached the counter, the manager responded by recording me on his cellphone instead of helping. Another employee backed him up and claimed I was being "aggressive," which is completely untrue--I was simply asking why I had not been served. I have photo evidence of the interaction. As a disabled U.S. veteran, I found this experience especially disappointing. I expected basic service and respect, but instead felt ignored and disrespected. I tried to resolve this issue directly with the business before posting this review. I was told I would receive a response within 48-72 hours, but I never received any follow-up. Beyond the original incident, the lack of communication and accountability from management is disappointing.

DIRT AND MUD IN THE SALAD!!! WATCH OUT…read more We ordered the salad with mango and pecans. They do not wash there lettuce. There was literally dirt/mud at the bottom and I took my first bite and it felt like biting into sand. Upon spitting the food out onto my plate it was black sludge. Literally my tongue and teeth were black. The waiter came by and grabbed the plate when I was in the bathroom. I spent about 10 minutes trying to get that BLACK SLUDGE out of my mouth. When I was spitting out the dirt/mud wife noticed the bus boys laughing at me and there was not a manger in sight. When I asked for a manager he did not even respond. No apology or anything just a look of confusion. Worst experience in a restaurant in my life and I love to eat and have been to many types of restaurant big and small. Cheap and expensive and this one takes the cake. We were so bummed as I see thousands of great reviews. But if there was a zero I would have given zero stars the way they handled the situation. If you eat there in the future make sure to check for DIRT/MUD.
