OK, so I scheduled a last-minute hair appointment. The salon was very empty and I was able to get in. The space is very nice and the staff is also very nice. The woman who washed my hair was wonderful and the woman who cut and dyed my hair got the color perfectly without having me pick what I wanted lol. I was covering up gray hairs and I was matching my hair color. I had photos for reference and the cut I got is nothing like the photos. The cut is a lot shorter than I wanted, I actually asked for a trim when I set the appointment and when the stylist asked me how much she was allowed to cut I told her I trusted her since I showed her several photos of what I was looking for.Sooo cut is not great and curtain bangs that I asked for are not curtain bangs. I do not know what they are, sadly...The haircut without the bangs is great but the bangs...those are not good. My biggest reason for being so specific here in the review is that the salon is advertised as having experts in every style and cut that you would want. read more

The massage was amazing! Five stars all the way. Aijie is so talented - definitely request her! Hands down one of the best I've ever had and has me wanting another at the end of the week before I return to normal life. The men's locker room totally works, it's just that everything is small. The changing are is butt-to-butt with 2 guys in it. One small stool/bench. The sauna is hot and really nice. Three men would be about all it holds comfortably. Same with the steam room. Feels great, but 3 men and it's full. They do have bags for your wet swim suit if you use the 4 person jacuzzi, but no spinner. They also provide q-tips. Period. No combs, no non-alcoholic mouth wash, no toothbrush's. Just q-tips. So unless you want to look pretty disheveled, bring some grooming supplies of your own. read more

The spa is located by the fitness center so I stopped on my way to my morning workout. They were actually ready to take me within the hour but I opted for an appt a couple hours later. Very nice. My masseuse was great, Kelly. She listened to what I asked for. Front desk service was professional. Sauna and jacuzzi included in the price. Be ware that a 20 percent tip is included in the price. No charges to the room if staying at the resort. This would be nice. You'll get a robe, slippers, and locker. Prices comfortable to chain spas. Glad I came in. read more

I did the all day 6 hour spa package. Started off with a mud wrap cocoon & relaxation massage by lisette which took around 2 hours in total, a very interesting experience for me. Next I had a facial, manicure, & pedicure by Marlene. Marlene was absolutely amazing from start to finish she was a sweetheart the whole way through and very knowledgeable on skincare and how to keep that healthy glow. I really appreciated her service. What a wonderful person to see at your spa! Lunch was part of this package which was enjoyable in a nice quiet room accompanied by some hot tea, it was great! Finally I finished off my spa day with a fresh hair cut, shampoo, deep conditioning, and blow out by Donna. I felt a little rushed towards the end as my experience was only 5 hours not the full 6, but I enjoyed the people here and I felt accommodated quite nicely as an owner at the resort. I gave an extra tip to each girl separately on top of the 20% gratuity fee per service, because I did enjoy each of the ladies and their knowledge. I came to the spa and got Pamela. Pamela was very professional. Did an excellent massage after I was finished I knew I would not be seeing her again before I left so I gave her a cash tip not knowing that when I left to pay for the Massage gratuity was added to the bill, it kind of upset me because that was like a $47 tip for a massage. I wasn't very happy about that. I wish she would've said that gratuity was already added and just been honest. But she was very good and did a wonderful job and very friendly so I probably would've gave her the tip anyway I just want you guys to know that gratuity is added so you may wanna wait till after your service to see if you wanna leave a tip or not read more

I went in for a much needed hydro facial and it lived up to my expectations. Lindsey had a robe and slides ready for me and I used the sauna and steam room before I indulged in a facial that helped plump up my areas that were looking dull and starting to show age lines. I was offered water, specialty tea or wine before my facial. The bed in the facial room was heated and so comfortable! Lindsey explained the hydro facial and I could ask questions along the way to tailor my needs. Overall it was a great experience, well worth it and I loved the results!!! Please note: I am reviewing the spa only. No offense to the people who bought a timeshare here but I'd never buy or stay in a timeshare. The whole idea of paying monthly for something that I can only use one week out of a year is absurd to me, sorry. Even worse you pay yearly taxes on it like it's something of valuable compared to an actual home - yikes! Okay the spa was awesome. It was expensive, I also didn't think their decor was high end at all. Lots of plastic flowers, plastic things meant to look like stone, and old fashion carpeting that wasn't modern or 2018 or 20 anything for that matter, but that's not what I'm rating 5 stars. The booking process was professional and quick. You will be surprised how difficult it is to book with other places! It was quick easy and I got an appointment right away. They offer free valet parking which made it quick and easy to drop off my car. As soon as I walked into the building I was greeted by multiple people with smiles on their faces. When I asked for directions the gentleman walked me over so I could see where I was going so I wouldn't have to ask twice. When I went to the spa I was greeted by the most pleasant smells through their aroma diffusers which I had to buy! The massage was perfection - Thanks Ashley! The check in process was excellent they even give you these nice thick sandals that fit well. Even the bath robe was nice and perfect for a spa. They were polite and walked me to the lockers which was a nice touch. Not having to worry about your purse or where your things are is a bonus most spas don't have a locker room. They offered a Jacuzzi and sauna services but I did not try those out. They had great add on services like back scrub and etc which were reasonably priced. When I went in I was stressed, my back was sore, but when I left I felt relaxed and happy. It was a great experience and I will definitely go back! read more

I'm truly not a fan of the west gate family; therefore, I try not to visit their facilities/hotels much. However, I got a prenatal massage as a gift and the serenity spa was great! Literally from the minute you open those doors and walk into the spa lobby it's like you've just walked in the gates of heaven. I enjoyed everything from the women's locker, to the women's lounge, massage room, decor, hot tub, sauna, just everything... I spent a few hours of pure relaxation at its finest. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars was because unfortunately the men's sauna was out of order when I went with my better half and I would've liked just a bit more attention while sitting in the couples lounge. The environment here is perfect if you are looking for a good day spa. The spa wasn't hard to find on the third floor. The lobby of the resort was super noisy thou. The ladies here were super nice and inviting. I reserved for me and my mother to get a relaxation massage. The lady I got her name was Nicole it was perfect. She is a little harder but I needed that if that's what you are looking for. When you first get there they direct you to the locker/waiting room which is a little out dated on the decorations but for the most part it is very nice. When you get services here you are allowed access to the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. They also have showers in lockers to use. The only reason I gave it 4 starts was because many of the lockers were broken and no one knew how to unlock them. But for the most part we loved this experience and would definitely be coming back read more

We went for a couple's massage and live less than a mile away. This spa is very outdated and we both felt like we were in somebody's grandma's second living room/ sitting room area. We were told told to bring our swimsuits after asking about the spa's pool area... come to find out it's been closed and we couldn't enjoy that part of experience. With our massage... one of our masseuses wasn't present, and late while stuck in traffic, leaving us to just sit around waiting. We booked a week in advance and requested two female masseuses, which we were asked to come in at an earlier time than what we were trying to book for so they could accommodate us with that (shouldn't be difficult to have two women massage us) - that day we received a male/female which needed to be corrected. My female masseuse very excessively kept fanning my sheets in giant swoops while I laid there completely naked, and then gave me an 80 minute butt massage which didn't feel appropriate at all considering it was full body, every touch around my back seemed to somehow also include an extra touch to my butt and then my butt was directly worked on longer than any other body part. Afterwards I was told "drink lots of water -- tomorrow you'll really feel it, especially in your glutes!". Oh... ok. For the cost, just go to Four Seasons' spa on Disney property and enjoy far more luxury and much better professionalism with your entire experience. Westgate is the "Walmart" of resorts and services. I'd easily skip this place and book elsewhere in town. read more

For over 10 years I been treating myself for a day on the spa for my birthday. This year when I called for an appt ,I requested the same massage therapist I had in previous occasions. The lady make my appointment telling me that she was with me before. I got there earlier like always so I had plenty time to use the jacuzzi. I decided to call before I got out of the car to ask if I could use the jacuzzi, she answer unfortunately no because of the pandemic ( I was not informed prior making the appt). I went upstairs at 3pm my appt was at 330pm. I ask for the bathrope and the conctold me that they were not providing that either. She offer me hot tea prior my massage but she never brought it to me until I was on my massage. Unfortunately this is the first time I dislike the 80 min deep tissue massage. She appears not having enough knowledge of what deep tissue massage is. The massage room and thectable was very cold, I had to request to please make it warmer. Also during the massage ,her phone notification start making noise, I was trying to relax but itvwas very hard for me. Like I said before I been going to this Spa for over 10 years . I was very disappointed this time, I was not even offer extra discount due to the fact that the spa was not working full capacity .Even with the Florida resident discount I paid $170 for a service I was not happy at all. OMG! Literally one of the best spa experiences I've ever had! Alicia was my massage therapist. She has been at this spa for about 10 years and is among the most skilled swedish massage therapists I've ever had the privilege to experience. Her techniques worked out all my tension and knots. The massage bed articulates like no other I've been on and is heated. I will definitely go back even if I'm staying somewhere else in Orlando. I followed this amazing massage with a fantastic European facial by Donna. She is on her game and delivers an exquisitely relaxing facial. I was thoroughly melted after my treatments. While staying at the Westgate Lakes & Spa Resort for a conference this week, I booked a massage at Serenity Spa by Westgate on October 9. Kelly was the young woman who gave me my massage. I will just say that I have had massages all over the world, many different islands, several different resorts and hotels and by far Kelly has given me the best massage I have ever had hands down. I was tempted to go pay for another hour or two when she was done. I don't know if I will ever enjoy another massage again because she has set the bar extremely high. Thank you, Kelly! Went in for a 80min relaxation massage. I was immediately greeted by Nicole who was super friendly and showed me around the amenities their spa had to offer. Got there in early enough to enjoy some time in the steam room, which had a delightfully relaxing essential oil scent. My service was done by Kelly who was very good. She adjusted pressure and temperature when I needed and focused on the areas where I tend to carry my stress. My aunt got an 80min deep tissue with Alicia which she enjoyed as well. Located on the 3rd floor , the Spa is very dated, with carpet that have seen much better days. I booked a massage , which was ok, but the folks clearly don't know the meaning of the word customer service. Both sauna and steam room were barely warm, and the red towels provided are paper thin and old looking. Sharing my concerns and comments with the front desk produced half-sincere " sorry " and an explanation that for my convenience 18 % service charge was already applied to my bill. Wow! This is not a super large spa, but it has all the amenities of one. I had two services, a one hour massage and a pedicure. The masseuse was very sweet and I found it so relaxing I fell asleep! Then onto the steam room/sauna and jacuzzi...I did each for 15 mins and started with the sauna, then took a hot shower and hit what was a slightly cooler jacuzzi- this wasn't horrible to me because then I went to the steam room and then hit the shower again and washed my hair etc. in a cool shower. I found it very refreshing. Razors, mouthwash, QTips, body wash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hairspray and hair dryers are provided so you can pamper yourself and then be ready for plans later! It's got kind of a Grecian theme so don't expect it to be sleek and modern, but the facilities were lovely and clean and there were plenty of what appeared to be very happy people enjoying services. read more

Warm light with calming music to help their guest relax. My boyfriend and I did a couple message and the masseuse asked me about the spots on my body that I would not like to be touched and she went in extra long on the areas that I told her that I had been having trouble with. AMAZING!!!! I am a licensed massage therapist and this was one of the best massages I have had. Lissette knew exactly when to use more pressure and when to let up. I love a deep tissue massage and this was by far the best!.My daughter had the serenity experience for her spa treatment and loved it since this was her first time in a spa it gave her a a massage and a body treatment. I got a gift card from my boyfriend for Christmas for a massage and spa pedicure. I just finally got around to getting there and I was not disappointed! The staff was very welcoming when I arrived and showed me around the different amenities and got me set up with a robe, slippers, and locker. I had initially brought my own robe as I am a plus size woman but I didn't need it as the robes did run larger which is a plus! I got to relax with some cucumber water before my massage and my therapist came. I had Alicia and she was absolutely amazing! Took the time to see where my problem areas are and was super personable and friendly. I ended up talking to her during half of the massage at my choice! And she is amazing at what she does. My body feels great! Before and after your service you have access to a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna so be sure to bring a bathing suit if you plan on using the jacuzzi. I ended up using the amenities for 3 hours! I will say the downside was while I was in the jacuzzi you could hear the toilet flush and the jacuzzi is only supposed to hold 4 people so if they have a lot of reservations I can see that being a busy problem. I have been to two other Westgate spas (Gatlinburg & Park City) in the past and have been very pleased. However, this one (now called Serenity Spa) is hands down, the BEST so far! I booked in advance for an 80 minute Hot Stone Massage. I misjudged the time it would take to drive to this location from my resort (Westgate Town Center), and was there quite early. I called the spa to see if I could come in early for a pedi while waiting for time for the massage. They moved my massage time up and added the pedi at the end with no problems. The environment is very calming, the staff very courteous, and the facilities were very well done in both presentation and amenities. Cucumber lemon water is served, along with fresh fruit while you wait (minimal wait) and spa treatment comes with a 1-day pass to use the hot tub and sauna (bring your swimsuit!) The massage therapist, Susan, was lovely! She is very quiet, yet attentive to every movement during the massage. She was very accommodating in ensuring I was comfortable and paid close attention to my areas of chronic pain. The pedicure was fantastic as well. I felt very peaceful after this day of pampering and would definitely go back again if I'm ever back in the Orlando area. read more

There is a serous neglegance in the facility. The steam room has obvious black mold growing throughout it. To allow your guests to be using it is a health hazard. This place was nice. Complimentary valet service was helpful. I was greeted at the front desk by a nice lady. I was early so I got to use the spa before my appointment. That was very relaxing. I had a spa pedicure, which wasn't very relaxing because the lady doing the pedicure was aggressive and rough. Then she did my hair. A simple wash and blowout with straightening. The wash was alright but when it came to using the hair dryer with a brush she was very aggressive and rough again. At one point she brushed the right side of my face with the brush really hard. I don't complain because it's not in my nature, but I really wanted to just end the session there, but then I would have been left with half blow dried hair so I let her continue without a peep. In the end, my toes looked pretty and my hair looked nice. But the process to getting there hurt a little. The small talk she and I made was alright too, it was just how rough she was that makes me give this review three stars. read more

We stayed at this property and we were really mad we did so. They are the worst place we have ever stayed. They are worse than a bad Motel 6. The staff is rude and unconcerned about anything. The people staying there on their time share property were really Ghetto, with disturbances and profanity flying all over the place. People pushing and shoving trying to get to and from knocking kids down, without even looking back to see what they have done. From the lobby to the pool, there were people upset and yelling about their deals for the time share to complaints about the trash everywhere. So you think who cares, I will be at Disney and will only need a place to sleep right. Wrong, there are people walking past the rooms all night long. Kids even had someone banging on their window and scared them to death. Drunken Hispanic guy did the same thing 2nd night and I called for his removal 7 times and nothing was done. Security did not even show up. We heard him banging on doors above us and below us for several hours. Next day at the Park, I was red eyed and tired and very upset I did not get a good night sleep. You complain and they almost laugh in your face when you tell them you're on the visiting time share side. Time Share personnel is so rude, so rude they made my wife cry. You will really want to ring some ones neck, for holding hostage. The presentation says it will take no longer than 90 minutes, but they made us wait for our paperwork, by getting up from the table and disappearing for 20 or 30 minutes at a time. I went on vacation to relax; not sit in a room full of upset timeshare sales persons for 4 1/2 hours. Yes that is right 4 1/2 hours. We left early and booked somewhere else. The timeshare price was not worth what we went through. Check the pictures on Trip Advisor and the complaints with BBB and you will understand. read more
