Had a lovely relaxing visit to the Relâche Spa at the Gaylord Palms this afternoon with my daughter. I love that "spa" scent that hits you just as you are approaching and instantly you are already starting to relax! The check in staff were friendly and helpful. Both my daughters and my massage therapists (Chris and Sarah) were excellent! They focused exactly where was needed for a comforting and very therapeutic session. The ambiance was nice however for such a massive hotel, the ladies lounge is very small. The area to sit and wait for your services is 4 chairs with some water and hot tea. There is the option of the co ed tea room which is larger and offered a variety of nuts to snack on. I visited the spa while staying at the Gaylord Palms Resort as it was included in the resort fee for Marriott Elite Gold members. I am reviewing the spa based on the free activities and amenities that are offered to their Gold members, and I did not participate in any of the paid activities (i.e., massages, manicures etc.). The staff were really nice and I was worried that I would need to change into certain attire or bring a swimsuit to use the facilities, but they kindly informed me that they had prepared everything to make it easy for guests to access the spa. They gave me a quick orientation of the amenities which included a rainforest shower, dry sauna, and steam room. In the lockers, they provided robes, towels, and a pair of sandals for use within the space. There were also q-tips, makeup remover, shower caps, hair brush, and a hair dryer for use in the common area. It was my first time using the rainforest shower and if I knew earlier that they offered this in the spa, I would have opted to take a shower there everyday instead of in my hotel room. I then used the dry sauna and the steam room. In between, I enjoyed some teas and coconut water in an area where there was relaxing music and sofas. I stayed for ~1.5 hours relaxing at the spa and it was absolutely worth spending my time there instead of exploring Kissimmee/Orlando. I'm not sure how much it would cost to use these services, but I would definitely recommend all Elite Gold members to visit! read more

I had the ultimate experience ... the spa massage chair was comfy and had hot pulsating water that my feet soaked in for an hour! 3 Stars for incredibly friendly staff, but really light offerings when it comes to getting a day pass and taking a spa day (without an appointment for spa services). I love a good spa day and am always excited to purchase a day pass at my favorite spot and enjoy the relaxation that comes with the amenities. I'd seen Relache Spa tabling at a yoga festival by Lake Eola and decided to try their spa since I'd not ventured from my tried and true Ritz Carlton spa. My girlfriend and I had two day passes and it started well with smiling, warm staff out front. The one woman led us through on a quick tour of the facilities and right away I realized it wasn't quite to the level I'd hoped. Everything is beautiful, don't get me wrong. But there is no jacuzzi, spa pool, snacks, or even a WiFi code. This seems like a good spot to go if you're getting a massage and want to hang out for a bit afterwards, but not the all-day spa experience I'd hoped for. We did have access to the regular pool and 18+ pool that is for all hotel guests. It was beautiful, but quite crowded and took you right out of any serenity you'd created in the oil-defused, calm environment of the spa. I'm used to The Ritz spa that has its own pool for relaxation, a jacuzzi, iced oil-infused towels (this spot had cold-ish small towels, but after leaving the dry sauna, you want that ice cold!) and snacks to munch on with your fruit infused water or tea. Another annoyance is that there is no food option nearby. You could go out to the pool deck to eat at The Sandbar, or order from the room service menu to be delivered and rated at tables outside the spa. The nice thing with the Ritz spa is that you can wear your robe down to the pool, in the many sitting areas, and into the spa restaurant by the private spa pool. Overall, this place is beautiful if you book services and want to stick around, but I wouldn't necessarily return on a day pass just for the steam room/dry sauna. read more

We had a fantastic day here yesterday! After years of hit and miss service, my last couple visits to Relache Spa at the Gaylord Palms hotel have earned my five stars for sure! We received a friendly greeting at the front desk followed by impeccable service that went above and beyond from Miriam in the women's lounge. She was attentive and everything about her service was on point. My massage with Stephen was one of the best I've had here including visits to every other major 4 and 5 star hotel in the city. I highly recommend the lemongrass ritual! The sheets are high quality, heated tables and room ambience and music are all on point here. The facilities are top notch complete with sauna, steam room, rain showers and a super relaxing co-ed lounge. The only change I'd make would be the addition of some easy snacks in the lounges as they have at both the Four Seasons and the Ritz, otherwise this spa competes well with both of those spas if they maintain the level of service we received yesterday! Yesterday we had a massage spa service booked for noon at the Relache Spa at Gaylord Palms. Being a local taking an out of town guest for the day required a ~40 min drive each way to and from the spa. We arrived early as advised and while checking in the fire alarm started to go off-all of it-lights, siren, loud messages, etc. However, the loud messages did not include that it was a test. The spa employee advised us that they were testing the alarm system today until 2, but it probably would not go off for another 1 and a half. Just enough time to get through our massages. During our tour back to the locker room, the fire alarm went off again and did not stop for several minutes. The kind employee offered to move our spa for later in the day while we requested an extended spa service for our inconvenience. She had to check with the manager and would let us know. Although willing to provide add on services like hot stones and foot scrub etc to our already time allotted was not an acceptable alternative. We could not stay at the hotel and have lunch because the fire alarm continued to go off. While the employees were pleasant it was such an odd experience because nothing was really being done by the spa to own this situation nor correct the situation at a standard appropriate for the types of services and pricing of the establishment. Instead of returning to the spa for our afternoon appointment we called to confirm that the alarm test was over and that they were able to extend our 50 min massage to 80 or 100 mins. We were advised that they chose not to do that, but the alarm test was over so we could return for our treatments. We spoke to the manager Ashley and conveyed our concerns about all the communication breakdowns in handling our reservations. The hotel was aware that this fire alarm test was scheduled and failed to inform us ahead of time including the day of the appt. This would have saved us a 40 min drive each way. Furthermore, the spa's expectation that one would enjoy a massage service that costs $228 inclusive of the mandatory add on gratuity while a planned fire alarm event transpired is baffling to us. Unfortunately, Ashley was unable to figure out how to make this situation better for the customer as well. Hence, we moved our massage services to a different spa. We shared with Ashley that we were doing so and that we would no longer do spa services nor staycations at the Gaylord which we have done several in the past. We also shared with Ashley that we felt horrible for the two employees working in the spa during the fire alarm trying to get guests to continue with their spa services. It was apparent they were not given any tools or authority to work with in handling guests who were not willing to spend over $450 on two massages to listen to a fire alarm. It was a true disappointment in Relache, Gaylord, and the Marriott. read more

I stayed at the Gaylord Palms and decided to splurge at the Relache Spa. Although the sauna and common area amenities were unavailable due to COVID, I am SO glad that I went. I had two services- the 80-minute body detox massage treatment abs the Elemis facial. Normally I like a deep pressure massage and the detox body treatment is not deep pressure. It was however the most relaxing massage I've ever had - a light touch but made me feel like a bowl of soup when it was done. I was in desperate need of a facial due to Maskne and a day later my face is 90-percent clear. The facial woman was extremely knowledgeable, skilled and was worth every penny! read more

The relache spa is a beautiful facility that has a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. It is by far, one of my favorite spa in the Orlando area. The staff were very professional and friendly. I went on a Tuesday and the facility was not crowded which allowed me to feel totally rejuvenated. With a purchase of any service, you have access to the steam, sauna, co-ed tea rooms, rainforest showers, gym, adult pool and jacuzzis. I am surprised that Relache doesn't have better reviews. I enjoyed my experience there from the moment I walked in the door until I reluctantly left. I was promptly greeted and was given a tour of the Women's Lounge area by a lovely, informative worker. I was provided with a robe, slippers, and locker key and told to help myself to the different amenities until my appointment time. I definitely recommend arriving much earlier/staying later than your appointment to make use of all Relache has to offer. Close to my appointment time I was moved to "the tea lounge" which basically offers 4 varieties of organic hot teas, fruited water, and trail mix in a calming environment. It really is the ultimate relaxation experience before your service. When it was time, my esthetician came to get me from the tea lounge and took me to my private facial room. The service I selected was the 50 minute Tranquility Facial ($150). It certainly is very pricey, but it was a wonderful experience. My esthetician was informative and professional. She also achieved the perfect balance of being friendly and engaging in conversation while still allowing me to relax. She gave me several pointers about my skin, as well as wrote down several recommended products at the end of my facial. The facial itself was pretty straight forward and relaxing. I loved the products she used and actually ended up purchasing two of the productions for me to use at home. Following my facial I was taken back to the Women's Lounge, where i further relaxed in the steam room and rain shower. Use of all the amenities are available the entire day of your service and are included in the price. The spa is open 8am-8pm so you could really hang out there all day! If you just want to use the spa amenities without purchasing a service then you can buy a day pass for $30. Amenities include: -Tea lounge -Robes, slippers, and lockers -Eucalyptus steam room (this is wonderful! The entire spa smells like eucalyptus as a result of the steam room.) -Sauna, which features dry heat instead of the humid climate of the steam room -A small lounge outside the steam room and sauna, complete with iced wet lavender infused towels and fruited water. -Rain shower (this was a highlight for me! I had water coming at me in every direction and it was wonderful! Despite there being printed directions I still had to ask for help starting the shower. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash from Relache's spa line are provided). -Area to get ready, complete with necessities and hair products. I couldn't recommend this place more. I was apprehensive if I would be disappointed, especially with paying such a high price, but it was all I could have hoped a spa would be. I told them at the reservation that will be my first time visit there, so i wanna have the best massage therapist & the best massage too. I like to feel the pressure in my massages, I like to have varieties on the scent oils & more. Not even arnica, thats a must even at massage envy. They have only one kind. The don't have the hot patch for your back at the end of the massage. Believe me, my experience wasn't good. He did ok, but not quite what i ask for. Also, the spa facility don't have jacuzzi, steamer, private pool, no restaurant. Also, the waiting area is very poor. No varieties on fruits, no wine, no champagne, no cucumbers for your eyes.... If you wanna have a real massage & unique experience. Must visit the Ritz Carlton Spa. Close to Seaworld. It's kind of 6 miles away from Gaylord Palm and it has it all. That's a real Spa. After the massage I relaxed in the lounge and made use of the wonderful steam room, the very relaxing showers (try the eucalyptus spray), and the tea room with an assortment of tea and flavored water (citrus or coconut/lavender). I had a great visit my first time there, which was about 2 months ago, so after building it up to my bf, we decided to in together a couple of weeks ago. No bueno. We scheduled a 50 min couples' massage, but it was very obvious to me once it finished that it was short of that. I checked my watch as the therapists left the room and was instantly annoyed to find that the massage lasted only 42 minutes. Nitpicky? Maybe. But when you're essentially paying $6 A MINUTE, an 8-minute difference is a lot - $48 to be exact. I felt a little robbed. Then they charge you a mandatory 20% on top of the $300 massage, regardless of how your experience went. Meh... I didn't say anything because it DOES sound nitpicky, but when you're running a high-end establishment such as this, you need to bring your A game. I left there feeling as stressed as I was when I got there. Hard to see the value in it. I'll give it 2 stars because we were able to enjoy some of their amenities before the massage... But in my opinion, you should get the services you pay for and nothing less. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to take a mini staycation at the Gaylord, and while he was golfing, and since the weather was not pool worthy, I decided to book a massage. The booking process was easy, and since I called around 8 AM they were able to get me in for an 11 AM signature massage. I went 30 minutes early to take advantage of their steam room/sauna and do a quick rinse in the shower ahead of time. The massage itself was good - my masseuse checked in with me on pressure, etc. and he was very professional. The spa host and woman who checked me in/out were all very friendly and helpful. For the cost of the massage, I would say that it's pricey; however, the showers there are awesome (umm...think lights and all kinds of options on the rain shower head, body sprays and normal shower head. The place is very Spa like and clean. Very soothing and relaxful. EVERYONE was super nice. The Eucalyptus steam room is super nice and is Soooooooo good for your skin. The sauna was also very nice. I used the shower too. Nice soft color lights above you that change. Water spouts everywhere. 3 in front and 4 above you. They have a remote control for the different spout programs. All kinds of water, tea and coffee plus you can order drinks. Let's get to the feet and hands. A wonderful young lady did my manicure with scrub and massage. It was AMAZING! So nice and easy to chat with while enjoying the service. Then comes the feet OH MAWRI!! OH MAWRI!!! (That's my pedicure professionals name) HOLY SMOKES IT WAS AMAZING!!! She performs a beautiful pedicure and once she is done with that her magical hand start rubbing your legs and feet......I'm a new man. I want to take her with me everywhere and have her just take care of my feet. I think I cried a little. Everyone was polite and skilled. The amenities were nice - light snacks, flavored waters and teas, steam rooms and AMAZING fancy showers! I was impressed overall! Is it overpriced? I've been in Orlando for three years now and have been searching for a go-to spa for days when you need some extra pampering. This is a close contender- I was very impressed with the staff, service and amenities. I arrived very close to my appointment time, so I was not able to enjoy the sauna or tea room but saw they offered fresh fruit and beverages while you wait. There is no alcohol offered here, which is the only fact limiting the spa to a four star rating. That, and the fact that I think the robes could be a bit plusher. Although the super-comfy gel slippers they provide almost makes up for the robe situation. Upon my arrival, I was whisked away to the changing room and immediately began my first service, the Tropical Island Glow. After that, I enjoyed their Signature Facial. Both services were fantastic and the aestheticians were knowledgeable and highly skilled. They are revamping this spa in the Summer 2010. (11/25/2017) Had friends visiting other family in the area for the holidays, they decided to all gather at the Gaylord Palms for the ICE! show and general luxurious relaxation during the holidays. I joined for a spa day. Booked a day in advance, not a problem with convenient times. Desk person a little spacey (she had trouble remembering to book the two services I asked for, I had to confirm both 3 times), but very nice. Spa area is larger than it looks, maze-like in the back. Receipt of services at the spa gets you access all day to their spa facilities, including shower and locker rooms, dry and steam saunas, pool, lounges, salon. Had a body skin treatment and a haircut. Both by very professional and friendly staff. I appreciated the neutral demeanor, not too effusive, not too cold. I thought for the services, the prices were reasonable. Be forewarned, they automatically include a 20% tip on all services (which I'm fine with, would've done that anyway, now I don't even have to worry about it). Pro Tip: remember to get validation for FREE parking, otherwise it's $22 for the day. read more

Came in for the Ultimate Indulgence pedicure, this is the best pedicure that I have EVER had!!!! I get a pedicure about once a month and always like to try out new salons, Relache is by far the best yet! My experience was really so great thanks to the amazing woman who did my service, Charolette. She was so kind, and created the most incredible relaxing environment. She was always checking if I needed anything and gave the absolute best massage I have ever had! I did not get the massage I ordered, and I can't begin to explain how disappointed I was by that. I called ahead, knowing that I'd been to a different Relache Spa in DC, and it went well, and the spa that used to be in this location was fantastic. I ordered a deep tissue massage for me, and a Signature for my husband. Evidently, no one believed that I indeed wanted to get this massage, despite confirming it on the phone. He was given a firm, deep tissue massage, and I was given a Signature. At no time was either of us confirmed for the massage we asked for by either of our attendants, because either of us could have mentioned what massage we were getting. He was sore for he next two days, as he doesn't like firm massages, and I desperately needed one, and it was so soft, I got nothing out of it. I was so disappointed. To boot, I'd requested an additional treatment for my feet. Anytime, I've received one of these treatments, they extend the overall treatment time to fit things in. However, instead, I got a 30 minute soft, weak massage with the masseuse talking the entire time, so it couldn't have been relaxing either, and 20 minutes of a foot treatment. I was pissed. They also don't let you pick how you tip. It's automatically included as a 20% upcharge on the cost. I will not return here. read more

Decided to check this place out after a long day of studying for the bar exam. A break was much needed! I went for a massage, the 'canyon ranch massage' to be exact, which is their fancy way of saying you want a simple swedish massage. Well, turns out my back was totally fucked (i've been slaving away studying over a desk all summer) so instead of giving me the 'canyon ranch' my masseuse surveyed the situation and gave me a deep-tissue massage instead- and at no extra charge! Plus the masseuse totally knew what she was doing and made the painful experience (working tension out of a back is not relaxing!) as enjoyable as humanly possible. I added on the scalp treatment for $20, but it totally wasn't worth it. It consists of warm oil being poured over your scalp/hair followed by a 2-3 minute scalp rub. Felt good but not outstanding- i'd much rather have put the money towards a different pamper. The robes the spa provides you with are plush and comfy and the locker facilities are super nice. Everyone is very professional (minus the teenage girls in charge of checking you in and out) and the atmosphere is nice- think western luxury motif meets spa. The spa wasn't super luxurious but was a class act. I especially enjoyed one of the many waiting waiting rooms- a women's tea room, which was equip with various teas, magazines, plush sofa chairs, blankets, and an array of fruits. After my massage I kicked back in there for awhile, snuggled under a blanket with my Earl Grey, read a magazine, and forgot all about the fact that there was an actual world outside. I, like most women, love foot massages. After walking the parks and hotel grounds I thought this is a way to rejuvenate my "sole". I recently took two of my coworkers for a spa day. We are all Florida residence so I thought it would be an affordable option. When we got there, none of the services were available in terms of the sauna, robes tea, wine etc. We paid full price for massages that were adequate at best. My masseuse asked nothing about pressure. My co-workers masseuse kept talking about the death of her mother and religion (not appropriate) the same masseuse body shamed my other co-worker for "being so thin she was afraid she would hurt her". My facial was the best out of all the services. When I called to ask about any kind of discount since we didn't get the full service but we paid . She reminded me that the services were buy one get half off for facials but we were all up charged on the massage so the money difference didn't really matter. People were coming in for services with no masks on. Bottom line, don't go here until Covid restrictions are lifted. read more

The Canyon Ranch Spa is the best of the best in terms of spas. This is the jackpot. Every time I visit my parents in Florida, I make sure to take a trip here. The experience is pure bliss. It is reccommended that you show up a 1/2 hour earlier from your appointment time, but I prefer to go a good 45 mins before. You get very cozy shower gel slippers and the softest, plushest robe I have ever felt. It's like wearing a cloud. You can shower there in one of the state of the art shower stalls which has numerous jets and tempertaure settings. Very nice. Then you can relax and warm your muscles up in either the wet eucalyptus sauna or the dry wood sauna. I love both personally. Then when you are throughly cleaned and warmed up, you can head on into the tea room. It is a dimly lit logue of comfy couches. Fruit, nuts, ice water and a variety of tea are displayed and you may freely partake of whatever you want. I like to have a cup of the orange tea and some fresh strawberries. Then when you appointment time comes, your masseuse arrives and escourts you to your room. The masseue here are very professional and very good at what they do. They are patient and informative and really take the time to figure out how make your treatment as best of an experience as they can offer. When your treatment is over (and by now you will probably be reduced to having become a gurgling pile of goo with how relaxed you will feel), the massesuse escourts you back to the tea room, where you are free to have more tea and fruit if you choose (it is reccomended to drink some water after treatments, usually a glass or two). Then you may return to the locker room, and are welcome to use the shower or sauna again. There is no rush here. You could spend all day there and no one minds or tries to rush you. Relax as long a syou want. The added touches of this spa, with the tea room, sauna and fluffy bathrobe really make this place stand out above any other spa I have had the pleasure of visiting. Service in the spa was delivered correctly. Smooth and seemless. I got the on the go package, for 149. A good idea when you travel to a new place. Choose a sampler package, that isn't a huge investment. This way your not tied to one service, and you get to experience different treatments and technicians in the spa. I had a 25 minute massage, a 25 minute facial and an express pedicure. I asked the massage therapist to give me a deep tissue massage if she could, even though we had a limited amount of time... she delivered. Next was the express facial. This isn't always my favorite, because its really only slathering product on, no extractions. But, the bed was cozy and the products, Eminence smelled yummy. The pedicure was excellent, quick, chairs are superb, Sparitual polish. I would say for 150, and use of the steam and sauna, this was money well spent. Their basic massage is 50 minutes of bliss. Coupled with use of the sauna/steam room, it was 2 1/2 hours of relaxation. Great friendly staff never tried to up sell me on anything and were incredibly helpful. read more

Not a fan. I asked that my lower back be the priority. I was shocked when my 80 min massage was over and no time was spent on my lower back. As far as the rest of my session, it was obvious my girl was not trained well or at least could no apply her training. As far as the facility, the only item adequate were the Kohler showers- they are the only reason they got 2 stars. Staff in the front were rude. Beware of spas that add gratuity themselves. Firstly, I want to point out that my interaction with this spa started via email from New York where I reside, to Florida, where I was planning to surprise my niece with a spa day. Well, Anastacia Blakes was very accommodating to get my Sister and I booked at the same times with my niece on a Saturday no less. We even arrived a little late and they were able to get us to our treatments with time and not feel hurried or rushed at all. The Oxygen Facial was one of, if not the best Oxygen facial I've had. Their prices are NY high but the experience provided for my niece, sister and I was well worth it. One thing, I must say, they do try to up sell you with little upgrades to you before your treatment starts. If you can afford the extra splurge, go for it, if not, kindly decline. read more
