I found some great gems to add to my collection. A PC repair shop 2. A record store (LPs and 45s); and 3. An audio equipment shop. The latter has tube gear, but also a bunch of Yamaha gear. Don't know what so special about the latter, maybe they are some models that have some audiophile appeal. The loudspeakers are mostly Elac, but only the passive ones. They don't offer the active/wifi Elac line. Also some amazingly expensive ($1000 - $3000) headphones. A lot of them are from the Focal brand (but no speakers, just headphones from that line). So if you're an anachrophile, this should be a good place for you. I myself prefer 21st century audio (ethernet cable in, sound out), so I did not get anything here, but I think they've carved out a nice niche for folks who are into tubes and vinyl. So this local shop is the same as these days you will find in Phoenix: The only audio shops are ones which deal in tubes + vinyl. Near as I can determine, there are no audio dealers in Phoenix which would be good for transistorized equipment.
