I would give this company a zero if possible.. After months of trying to get an appointment I finally got one. The day before the appointment I got a phone call asking me to change my appointment to another hour, which I did. The day of the appointment I got a call telling me the appointment had to be cancelled because the lady was sick. I then went to the place of business and asked if I could buy products with the gift card I had since Aug., 2023. I did get some help from a lady who was not an employee of Serendipity . I had been searching for a local spot to get a massage and happened to come across Serendipity. I made an appointment for the 90 minute massage therapy session with Yvonne. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly lady who informed me Yvonne would be out shortly. Within minutes I was greeted by Yvonne and she took me back to the treatment room. We went over a few things (cupping, pressure levels, and any problematic areas or concerns) and then she politely left the room so I could change and get situated. Once she came back she started the session. She made me feel very comfortable (this was my first massage) and the ambience in the room made for a very relaxing and soothing environment. I was very pleased with the entire experience and I am looking forward to returning not only for another massage, but also to try their other services (facial, sugaring, mani/pedi etc.). I received a gift card for my birthday ($50) I have tried on several occasions to call but have never had the phone be answered. I finally decided to go online and book a 1 hour massage. I clicked the choice "anyone" for a therapist. I got Jennifer. I believe she may be the owner. I had a missed call on my phone a few days ago. I called the number back and left a message(no answer) that I was sorry I missed the call and if they were calling to confirm that I would be there for the appointment I had made on line. I never got a call back saying Jennifer didn't do massages on Thursdays. (The website does not say that!) Her name came up when I picked my day and time. When I got there 10 minutes early there was no place to sit besides the two chairs the teenage assistants were sitting in. A little girl was sitting on a third chair and a teenage boy was sitting out on the front porch so I decided to sit with him in the only chair that was left. Just after my 11:00 appointment one of the teenage girls came out on the porch to ask me if I got the phone call from her cancelling my appointment. I told her I called back and left a message but never received a message from her cancelling my appointment. She tried to rebook and I ask to talk to the owner or manager. Jenn came out (she should have been the one to come talk to me in the first place) and repeated the same thing only that she does t do massages. I told her that that was not reflected I. The website and it should be updated. She agreed. I asked for product with my gift certificate because I didn't plan on coming back. I try to support small businesses always but I do not recommend this one. I do recommend an update on this one to improve their business procedures and train the young ladies who are the first to talk to their new customers. I see many nice reviews. I would have been a continuing customer. Reading some of the other reviews seem similar to my experience today. I suggest lowering your prices to match the customer service people are getting. read more

I recently bought an Amazon Locals deal for $19 for a $50 hour long pedi, I was very excited to try this quaint salon, unfortunately I did not make an appointment as I should have.however I decided to walk in anyway on a whim. As I walked in, the receptionist looked at me as if i had a third eye, very uncomfortable. She then explained how they do not accept walk ins without an appointment and said that i needed to make an appointment WEEKS in advance, i understand that appointments are preferred, but WEEKS? that is ridiculous for such a small business, the salon did not appear to be busy and must not be as exclusive as she made it seem, after all they are offering a deal for over 50% off. It wasn't the appointment misunderstanding or the salon itself, but the customer service which is the reason for my low star rating. The receptionist was not friendly in the least bit and did not offer to schedule an appointment for me or my mother but made us feel that our business wasn't wanted. Luckily I was able to get a refund through amazon for the voucher i purchased. read more
