Such a cute spot for a sweet treat!…read more My partner and I decided to stop in to split a post-lunch sweet treat, and their peanut butter chocolate dessert was incredible. The peanut butter was fluffy and the rich chocolate complimented it perfectly (the decorative chocolate piece on top was also a nice touch). The inside of the bakery was cute and cozy, and the outside tables would be an excellent spot to relax on a less hot day. I can't wait to come back and try their other sweets next time I'm in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had thumbprint cookies. I'm a huge fan of thumbprint cookies. There's something so nostalgic about them from when I was a child. What makes their thumbprint cookies the best is that they make them with caramel! Most bakeries don't sell thumbprint cookies and that ones that do, I've never seen them with caramel. These are little amazing nuggets of goodness! If their shortbread was a little more tender, it would probably be the #1 bakery item, I've ever had. The magic is in the caramel! It's so soft, gooey and perfectly sweet. It's the perfect pairing with the lightly sweetened shortbread. Since I had the cookies, I haven't stopped thinking about them. Came back into town for the day with my kids and I made sure this was our first stop! I will give you a heads up that the parking is a little funky, but nothing major. I'll be back soon!

They feature authentic Hispanic baked goods at prices you won't find in many places. The special occasion cakes are a delight for the eyes! There are cases that line the perimeter of the store filled with pastries that are so visually appealing, it's almost a shame to eat them! Piñatas line the ceiling and makes for such a festive atmosphere. You'll find sweet breads, donuts, and pastries galore! When you enter, take a tray and set of tongs by the door. Then browse your way around the bakery and add your selections to the tray. When you're ready, the staff will ring and bag your order. Keep in mind that most of the placards on the bakery cases are in Spanish. So you might type Spanish to English in your cell phone browser to learn what the pastries you are interest in are in your own language. It helped me tremendously! I think my dining companion and I purchased 7 pastries and some other sweets, and the total was less than $15. I highly recommend this bakery for the most appealing visual and tasty treats you will find!

However, I will say that if you're not looking for it, you won't find it, so stay on the look out! This small Mexican bakery is most definitely popular among the locals and I just happened to pop by when I was driving in the area out of curiosity. I am so glad that I did. As soon as you walk in, you'll see a tray and tongs table to your left. It's self serve so you grab one and put whatever you would like to purchase on your tray. When I tell you there are hundreds of baked goods for you to try from, I'm really not joking. There's a variety of sweets lining up the store walls for you to choose from. There are even some hot pastries and cakes you can purchase from the counter. I was definitely overwhelmed by the choice and things aren't labeled, so I let my eyes do the picking. I randomly grabbed three of the prettiest deserts I could find. One was a cream and jam filled pastry, one was a cake, and one was a cookie. Each of them had such a unique and authentic flavor. After taking a bit of each one, I understood why this place was packed even late on a Sunday night. The best part is, when I paid for these three sweets, my total was less than $5. Amazing food for this deal?! Sign me up! I will be back very soon and buying more baked goods than I could ever imagine!
