Some restaurants serve food…read more La Belle French Bakery serves edible works of art. The moment you walk through the door, it's obvious this isn't a place that cuts corners. Between the pastry case that looks like it belongs in a museum and croissants so perfectly golden brown they almost appear artificial, every item seems to have been crafted with an almost unreasonable amount of care. I ordered the breakfast croissant, a black coffee, and a blueberry muffin. Now, I firmly believe a bakery's coffee should be judged the same way a singer is judged performing acoustically: no fancy tricks, no backup dancers, nowhere to hide. If your black coffee is excellent, everything else is built on a strong foundation. Thankfully, La Belle passed that test with flying colors. The breakfast croissant somehow managed to be both delicately flaky and impossibly soft at the same time. Every bite left a trail of evidence on my shirt that I regret absolutely none of. I'm fairly certain the croissant received more quality control inspections than my first apartment. The blueberry muffin was equally impressive, striking that magical balance between homemade comfort and professional craftsmanship. But if I had to describe La Belle in a single word, it would be love. You do not create food this visually stunning and effortlessly delicious unless the people behind it are deeply passionate about what they do. Every pastry, sandwich, dessert, and loaf of bread seemed to radiate the kind of attention to detail normally associated with Swiss watchmakers, NASA engineers, and grandmothers preparing for a family gathering. I've had plenty of delicious meals before. What stood out here wasn't just the flavor - it was the unmistakable feeling that every item was made by people who genuinely care about their craft. The passion wasn't subtle. It practically walked out from behind the counter, introduced itself, and insisted I try another pastry. By the time I left, I had already started recommending La Belle to friends. Between finishing brunch this morning and writing this review tonight, I've probably talked about this bakery more than any reasonable person should. And honestly? I regret nothing. 10/10. I'll absolutely be back.

Upon walking in, I was greeted by smiling baristas working the counter. They kindly (and patiently) answered all my questions about their products. Are your syrup made in house? They are not. No biggie. Are your pastries made in house? They are, including homemade pizzas on Friday and Saturdays. Eventually, I decided on an Oat Milk Latte and Almond Croissant. The Oat Milk Latte w/ a packet of Raw Sugar: 5 STARS Oh my oats, did that latte bring me JOY. It was one of the best lattes I've had ALL year. It was smooth, perfectly balanced and just the right amount of sweet. Shout out to the talented barista who produced this amazing product! The Almond Croissant: 5 STARS Oh my almonds, do I hope our paths will croissant again. It was a DELIGHT! I enjoyed dipping it into my latte as it had a delicious almond paste inside that paired so nicely with the taste of the espresso. Shout out to the pastry chef who created such a treat! Finally, a BIG BRIGHT thank you to Lucca Coffee & Eatery and their team for making my morning BRIGHTER! I could easily tell that they care about the quality of their products and creating a comfortable atmosphere for their employees to effectively serve their customers. They had one job as a coffee bar. Provide coffee. Nope. Order at the counter. Iced vanilla latte and a pumpkin muffin was just over $10. They gave me the muffin and a number and told me they would bring the coffee out to me. I settled into a corner chair and started writing. After 25 minutes I noticed everyone else had gotten coffee. I was about to wrap up my writing anyway and checked in at the coffee bar asking where my coffee was. A look of confusion covered both baristas faces and they had no idea what I was talking about. I returned my number to them and told them I ordered almost 30 minutes ago. After some stammering they did offer to refund my drink. I told them no. This coffee house just dropped off my list of possible places to go.
