    Mixed wine slushy.... So good!
    Wendy M.

We are massive fans of Colorado Tap House. They are doing so many things right. What things, you ask? Well, my friend, lemme tell ya. 1 - there are only two places to order: at the end of the bar and as a patron, at the bar. Yay. No line of folks, hovering over you. 2- they've always have amazing food trucks when we've been here. And plus, they have an up to date food truck calendar on their website. 3 - my favorite.... They have an amazing assortment of drinks: craft beer, craft cocktails, coffee, NA options, liquor and wine. And... wine slushies. 4 - they are located on an amazing piece of land, right along a creek with running and biking trails. Oh, and there are outdoor fire pits! 5 - folks here are amazing. This should be #1 actually. Everyone has always been friendly, laid back and attentive. I mean, really, this is legit, the perfect combo.

    Fun place!

Typical sports beer joint. It's a large location with an amazing array of beers to choose from. The staff is super friendly. They have a nice method of ordering too, you go to a specific place at the bar and get waited on by bartenders that are dedicated to that area. No bellying up to the bar to try and get the attention of an overly busy bartender. I liked it. They have a nice food selection too, but they also have a couple of local food trucks outside that are amazing. Nice place to get together with friends and just have a good time.

Food menu is minimal and has a lot to be desired so always be in the look out when a food truck is in the neighborhood. The drinks are tasty but a bit pricey (uber small plain latte, iced ran $6 and I had like two sips total) Service is ok but as with most breweries, it's all self serve (so no table service). Acoustics here are not the greatest either so watching the televised games proves to be a challenge. Nice place for groups and a great place to just "hang"

Today there was event at this establishment. The group was called PRP a realty corporation out of Arvada. The staff was very helpful and friendly and accommodating as well as the event was well planned out. I've had one of the best old fashioneds. The food was made by one of the partners and it was phenomenal.

Quick stop post beautiful day hike! Sat outside cuz I had my two large dogs with me- unfortunately the wind gusts got so strong they were blowing all the chairs over so that was less enjoyable but clearly just the climate and not to the fault of the restaurant. Snagged jalapeño pretzel bites with cheese which were perfectly cooked (fluffy dough with a delicate flaky crust) and just the right amount of jalapeño spice. Had a flight of beers to enjoy as well. For extra filling we snagged a couple items from one of the food trucks that pulled up which is a nice offering / addition. Overall ample outdoor seating right on the bike trail (ralston) and appeared to have several fire pit areas for cooler evenings. Will likely be stopping here again!

Very cool place! Tucked back in a neighborhood, you can call it a hidden gem. You would never really find it driving down Indiana Ave. unless you knew it was there. This side of Arvada needed an upper scale bar for people my age. I asked the bartender if I could say hello to owner when she had a second. I watched him speaking to the wife owner who looked at us then walked right on by and ignored. Weird to say the least. I guess she just wasn't in the mood to "people" that day. Lol. Set all that aside and you still have an awesome atmosphere to enjoy a cocktail or a ton of beer selections. All their liquor is Colorado, so No on my Bacardi and Coke. The rum was just fine that I had, although crushed ice doesn't go well with it. please make some CUBES!! They had a girl playing the guitar and singing which was super enjoyable. Family and pet friendly for sure. We ordered the chips and salsa which were also good but highly suggest one of the food trucks. No waitress service, but I think that's part of the concept. Just walk to the bar and place your order. Very simple. Any way we loved it here, and will definitely return!

Great spot!!! Love that they have a full bar- plenty of beers on tap & specialty cocktails. Great selection of wine. Have had their pretzel bites and a calzone from the Italian food truck. When we were there last, there was an ice cream truck and I was very tempted to try that in lieu of a glass of wine!! There is ample seating inside and outside. This place has a GREAT patio- paired with cornhole and foosball for things to do. Many of the patio tables have fire pits too.

Great selection of beers, revolving food trucks, clean and spacious! This is exactly what west Arvada needed! Everyone was very kind and the concept is wonderful. Seat yourself, order at the bar and enjoy! We will be back

Awesome atmosphere and loved the BBQ food truck. Amazing outdoor seating and thoroughly enjoyed the live music that was playing. Seems to have great events and a variety of food trucks throughout the week. Will be back

It appeared that we were going to have a great meal with great service, until...... Our server was very attentive, until food was delivered... then no where to be found. I got up and found another server near the drink stand and asked for condiments. She said they would right over. Ten minutes later, nothing..... finally found our waiter who retrieved condiments from the kitchen... by then our burger was cold and not very tasty. We decided to treat ourselves with some key lime pie which was recommended by our servers as his "favorite." The pie had far too much crust that was chewy and hard. The entire meal was a big disappointment.

My husband got the beast burger it was okay, it looked a little dry, not like your normal smash burger. I got the street tacos, chicken tinga, carnitas and barbacoa. All the meat was okay, chicken was the most moist and flavorful. Would not recommend the barbacoa, very dry and cinnamon forward in flavor, carnitas was okay (chipotle is better). Atmosphere was nice, good lighting, would come back but would order something different.

Every Saturday night there is either professional stand up comedy, an open mic or both! Howie's is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. No offense intended, but Howie's almost makes Rockabillies, look fancy :-) The drinks here are very reasonably priced. I appreciate that they always have a big, cold, frosted mug for my draft beer consumption. I also think it's cool that somebody built a claw game machine full of empty white claw cans where you can win a full white claw :-) (very meta) It has all the TVs you would expect at a small sports oriented establishment. I always run into locals and regulars sitting at the bar when I come here. They come for the companionship, the cheap drinks, and local denver sports teams. However, sometimes on a Saturday night, they may be in for a pleasant, or unpleasant, surprise ... The main draw for me here has to be the Saturday night comedy. They have an open mic night at Howie's most Saturday nights. I am fairly addicted to this particular open mic. I've seen people here who have barely ever done comedy. Some of them are amazing, and some of them really need the practice. I've seen up and comers. I've seen diamonds in the rough. I've seen comedy veterans trying out new material. I've seen visiting comedians, who just popped in to do some time. Dylan Kantor (Cloudy Eyed Comedy) puts on a great show. Aside from this, they do on occasion have planned shows, where they bring in a curated panel of Joke-slingers. I think the last one I went to for West Arvada Comedy night had Jacob Rupp as headliner. It was a great (and free) show. Yep, you can catch comedy at other places, but West Arvada is very convenient for some people, the parking is ample and free, and there's no cover charge. All the funny AND affordable booze??? Count me in.

So picture this: end of spring break energy, date night, and I'm ready to be impressed. Enter Malones serving vibes first, comfort...eventually. Outside? Oh she's trying. Neon-painted picnic tables that scream "take a cute pic and don't sit too long." Adorable, yes. Comfortable? Baby, no. To the right we've got what I'm calling "Comfy Town" strictly for lounging and socializing, no food allowed. A tease. A setup. Emotional damage. If you insist on street views, there are high top tables, but let's be honest you'll end up inside where the real magic (and seating) happens. The Interior:Cozy. Dim. Red lighting. Like... are we on a date or summoning something? Either way, I'm intrigued. Now let's talk about the real MVP: William.Oh, William. Sir William. King William. Fast but not hovering. Attentive but not "are you still working on that?" energy. Sweet, helpful, intuitive. Like a consultant, but for my dining experience. Honestly, give him a raise and a fan club. The Food (aka the main event... allegedly): Starter Moment:Artichoke & veggie dip because I wanted to feel healthy, but also cheesy. And let me tell you...This was not diet behavior.Hot. Cheesy. Decadent. Bless whoever made that decision. No regrets. Main Situation: * BLAT wraps + tots, Blackened Salmon salad (me) * BLT (NO tomato... I'm judging) + fries (my counterpart ) Everything came out suspiciously fast. Like... are y'all psychic or just efficient? Either way, I wasn't mad. Let's break it down: The Wrap:Solid. Good crisp bacon, fresh tomato, nice balance.BUT, you know how wraps get when they sit too long? Yeah... she did that thing. Still tasty, just on a timer. Eat fast or suffer consequences. The Salad:OH. MY. HEAVENS.William, you genius. This salad?? Has my entire heart. The raspberry vinaigrette?? A masterpiece. A moment. A full-body experience. I was gesturing mid-bite like I was in a cooking show. No notes. Just applause. The Tots:...sigh. Listen. I wanted to love you. I did. But you betrayed me. They tasted like they had a long, hard life under a heat lamp. Took them home, gave them a second chance, still no redemption arc. We move on. Final Thoughts:Malones is cute. It's vibey. It's trying to be that girl and honestly, it's close. Some hits, some misses, but enough charm (and William) to keep me interested. Would I go back?YES! For the salad, the dip, and to be emotionally supported by William. Would I order the tots again?Absolutely not. Jail. Pro Tips: * Sit inside unless you enjoy aesthetic discomfort * Order the salad like your life depends on it * Trust William. Always trust William * Skip the tots unless you enjoy disappointment I give four stars (with a side-eye) Malones, you messy queen. I'll be back.

I hesitate to do a review for this place or give it 5 starts because I feel by doing so I'm…read morerevealing a well kept secret and encouraging people to discover a hidden gem that may change when the crowds start coming. Goosetown Station is a unique experience. It combines the cool vibe of the grassy setting of Fiddler's Green with the experience of listening to music with friends in an intimate garden setting. The photos I've seen posted so far are misleading. They are outdated pictures of a place that no longer exists. And current pictures don't communicate the vibe. Goosetown Station has evolved to a one-of-a-kind music venue. It has a lot of moving parts that work well together to bring you a music experience that will stay with you long after you leave. But because it's always changing, evolving, improving, what I tell you about the place may change when you visit. But however the place is when you visit, you can be guaranteed your experience will be enjoyable and memorable. PARKING ======== There is parking on the street in front of Goosetown Station. The street is a dead end. If you can't find parking on that street, there is a free, open, public parking lot a 1/2 a block away. There is also public parking one block over in the other direction, across from Ford street. You can park there and walk across the footbridge to get to Goosetown Station. ADMISSION ========== When I walked up the incline to the entrance to the house I was greeted by a young woman who told me they take cash or Venmo. (I read a previous review that said they don't do cash. That's changed.) HANDICAP ACCESS ================ If you are wheelchair bound, the place is set up with no stairs leading to the house. There is seating inside the house and also a full bar and bathrooms. From the inside of the house you cannot see the stage and I'm not sure if they pipe the music from the stage into the house, but they should for those who want to sit inside. There is also comfortable seating on the side of the house in an area you walk through to get to the back where the stage is. I don't remember if there are stairs between the front entrance and this side seating area. If not, it's a comfortable, covered area where you can sit, hear the music and see the stage. SEATING AREAS ============= From the pictures I saw before I went, I imagined this place to be a house with a stage in its small backyard with a patio area to sit and watch the band. I was pleasantly shocked when I walked around the side of the house and entered the backyard. It's a huge area. There is a main grassy seating area with comfortable couches, groups of seats and lots of firepits. There is a huge tented area in one corner of the backyard. There are clusters of seats along the side and a table in a covered area with vines growing up the wall. There is a covered seating area with a firepit next to the outside bar and a large, isolated, sandy play area for children and their parents in another corner of the yard. BARS ===== There is a fully stocked bar to the right when you enter the building. There is a bar in the back and sometimes, depending on the crowds, they set up a bar in the front with beer and wine. I was able to use Apple Pay at the bar. FAMILIES WELCOME ================ This place is kid friendly. There were several young children and their parents attending the concert the night I went. As I mentioned there is a whole sandy play area with toys in a corner of the backyard. FOOD ===== They try to have food trucks to provide something to eat while you listen to music. The night I was there they were having a dispute with the city of Golden who didn't want food trucks parked on their streets (even though the street in front of Goosetown Station is a dead end.) So they offered Anthony's pizzas and had chips and hummus. The food they offer isn't meant to be your main meal as much as just something to help you not have an empty stomach if you're drinking alcohol. MUSIC ====== The quality of the band was outstanding. They played at a volume that was just enough to fill the backyard. They weren't trying to rock the neighborhood but the sound was sufficient to be heard over the quiet conversations of the guests. "THE FEEL" ========= At the risk of sounding sexist, this place feels like it was designed by women. In fact I only saw one man working the venue. He was the bartender inside. Other than that it was women attending to the visitors. I say it seems like women designed this place because it looked like it was deliberately planned to be comfortable, charming, welcoming and beautiful. The details of this place speak of someone who wants to create an atmosphere that goes beyond utility. Even the bathrooms are nicely decorated with candles burning. If you go to Goosetown Station, enjoy yourself and please don't change anything. It's perfect just the way it is. (Check out my pictures to see how this place looks now.)
