I was going to be taking the place of a client who had last-minute canceled on a stylist named Heidi. The consultation time with her was very short. She asked very minimal questions, but I was told by the lady at the front desk that she was "very good" so I trusted her. However, I was wrong to do so. The overall experience at the salon was pretty pleasant. She made good conversation with me and I was provided with water. I walked out of the salon pretty happy with my results. I thought that my bangs were a little bit short, but I didn't mind that much since that happens almost every time I go in to get a touch up knot my bangs. mind u i barely have bangs they are basically long curtain bangs that i like to have because i wear my hair up a lot and i like the look. anyway, day goes by I have a headband in because I was doing chores all day. I come home take my headband off and am shocked. I was left with choppy, uneven, way too short bangs. I am not sure how she was able to style them so I couldn't tell when I left the salon, but it's safe to say I will be stuck wearing that very same headband until these grow out to a reasonable length so that I can fix them and they won't be too short. Safe to say this is one of the worst touchups I have ever had and that I will forever be scared to go back into any salon and ask them to touch my bangs ever again. I'm sad to leave, I don't like doing this. This place was recommended by my mom, she saw a different stylist who wasn't available this day , not sure if it would've been a better decision to wait the next day she would be in work or if I should've never came into the salon at all. I was hoping this would be a much better experience, considering their prices are very reasonable and it was a pretty quick cut. But sadly, I have learned my lesson and will probably stick to cutting my own hair despite being FAR from a professional.

The services were performed by her and I couldn't be happier. She was very friendly and did not seem put off at all to have me back in. I'm upgrading my review because I truly believe that this is a fantastic salon with great staff. While my first experience may have been less than stellar, I do feel that my comments were understood and greatly valued and for that I will certainly be returning to this salon for more services. Original Review: I feel terrible for saying this, but this was the worst mani/pedi I've ever received. If you're looking for some great nail cleanup such as cuticle/hangnail/dead skin trimming and/or amazing foot filing/scrubbing, I can't recommend this place. The girl who did the services was very personable and I liked her very much (which is why you see 3 stars), but her skills do not compare to the place down the street next to Casey's. For the money, I'm disappointed. I could have done what she did and better. I think the photos will help you see what I mean. I chose to treat myself and evidently this was not the place to do it. I sat in the salon for a half an hour flailing my hands through the air to get them to dry to a point I could roll my pant legs down and perhaps get in my car. My first impression walking in the door was not a good one. There were several employees huddled up chatting, laughing, etc. This felt very click-y and not the environment I was hoping for. I was presented the option to use a robe and slippers and while I do understand that not everyone will take advantage, I felt like I was inconveniencing someone by using these services. Why not invite me in to the locker room, show me my assigned locker, point out the goodies and say, "our robes and slippers are available for you to use!" or something similar. I would rate the massage a 2.5 out of 5. The masseuse did not utilize the time (60 min), nor did she reach my requested pressure points. I felt time was wasted. It was odd. Now, the facial, 8 out of 5! She was so detailed oriented and truly spent so much time on my skin. My upper body was massaged SO much better through my facial than through the full-body massage. She focused on trouble areas and made some recommendations (which I really appreciated!) I was a bit embarrassed leaving there because my face was completely red (looked like a terrible burn), but she said it would subside within an hour and it did. I may skip the massage next time, but definitely plan on giving GiGis another chance, especially for the facials.

She is very shy & was uncomfortable addressing the issue herself, so I initially contacted the salon on her behalf with her permssion. The haircut was so minimal that neither family members nor friends could tell she had her hair cut. The color was placed underneath her hair, making it virtually invisible during normal wear. We even provided before-and-after photos to support our concerns. When I first spoke with management, I was told she would review the situation with the owners and she indicated that a refund might be appropriate. However, after the stylist became involved, the conversation changed completely. Although we made it clear that my daughter was not comfortable returning to the same stylist for correction, that seemed to become the salon's only proposed solution. ********Most disappointing of all, we sent a respectful email to the owners detailing our concerns and included photos. We even proposed a partial refund for just the haircut and not the color and never received a response**** Everyone can make mistakes, but professional businesses should stand behind their work and communicate with their customers when concerns are raised. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

So you feel very rushed! And many of these type of salons make me worry about hygiene. If they can't clean the spots I can see, are they really cleaning the parts I can't??!! Not so here. Everything is nice and clean. Secondly, the massage chairs are wonderful, with different levels of massage and intensity. I was offered coffee, tea or water. You have your choice of a regular pedi for $24 or the spa pedi for $42. I chose the spa pedi that includes sea salt, a pomegranate wrap and massage. Totally worth it. They had a nice choice of colors to choose from. It was SO relaxing. Love how my tootsies turned out. For $5, they can add art work with sparkles. There are two chairs in the spa area, so next time I'm taking a girlfriend or my mom for a nice mani-pedi afternoon. I highly recommend.
