I wanted something curlier and she said no because my white hair would frizz. I only have white hair around my face - the rest of it is brown. She also put WAY MORE hair in one roller than I thought she should. I got a perm twice a year - EVERY YEAR - from 1976 til about 1992. I also like a stylist that will talk to me a bit. The stylist I've had couldn't wait to get away from me and to her phone or whatever else. I DID get 2 perms (that pretty much fell out 3 months in) but I won't be returning to this salon. If I'm going to drop $250+ - I'd like to get what I want and have my stylist actually talk to me a bit.

I scheduled an appointment with her for a full balayage service on my grown out hair. Prior to my appointment I had sent her an inspo picture and when she was finished it was way darker than I had expected. I was immediately unhappy with the results, and contacted her within 14 days, expressing my dissatisfaction. She assured me to just use a purple shampoo and to wait for the toner to fade out and that the color would correct itself, this did not happen. I continued to contact her the next few days, explaining that the color was not changing, and by that time, 7 days had passed, and she told me that due to her policy, she would not fix my hair for free, she offered to fix my "money piece" for free. and I would need to pay for a color correction. I tried to be understanding and decided to give her another chance. She squeezed me into her schedule, rushed through it, and wasn't able to allocate the time necessary for my hair to process. As a result, the top half of my hair didn't develop properly and the appointment concluded, leaving me with brassy orange in my hair as opposed to blonde (see pictures below). Keep in mind, this was after she fixed it. I scheduled a new balayage service with her months later and shortly after, I contracted COVID. Despite quarantining for two full weeks, I continued to test positive, and so I reached out to her at least half a week in advance of my appointment, with these details, asking to cancel the appointment until further notice, and requested that she refund my deposit. She refused to work with me, stating that a policy is a policy, and that rescheduling, even this far in advance, would be a strike against me, and she refused to return my money. She has been extremely unprofessional and is not very understanding. As someone who works in the beauty industry myself, I would not recommend working with her for hair services.

The experience was so much fun, so relaxing, and I loved that the bed/chair? Was heated! The extraction part was a bit painful but I think it's cause I've never had such a deep clean facial, super excited to come back again in 6 weeks again see the results in a few days!

I was warned of the post treatment burning sensation and of the possibility of inflammation. Those both happened to a degree which I don't feel I was warned about. On day 6, I developed what I thought was a rash/infection by my mouth. I contacted my doctor since it was a Sunday, and was advised to be seen in person. Turned out that I had gotten shingles (I have been vaccinated)! I was prescribed an Antiviral as well as some ointment. I had also sent an email to Belladerm. They did contact me on Monday and offered to call in a prescription for an Antiviral. I feel like some sort of partial refund for the issue would have been an appropriate gesture. I will say that my skin tone from the treatment is a little better, but not TWO THOUSAND dollars better (plus the cost of the doctors visit and prescriptions). It was not money well spent. I did learn my lesson.

The gels began peeling off my fingers within days!! Days! I've never had that happen! The response I got- "oh, you must wash your hands a lot." What? That shouldn't be a factor. You should be able to wash your hands! And open your wallet, and pick up nickels for all I care. They redid my nails free of charge- which took an hour to do so. Which also began to peel off about a week after. Don't go. As previously mentioned in other reviews, it's a back of the ways location, with difficult entry into the parking area. The chairs for hair services were mostly empty. Minimal waxing and tanning services available. You'll find better quality service probably closer to your own home.
