The walk to the quiet room and adjoining changing room really felt like walking through a refurbished office building. The changing room and quite room and very small and didn't have a comfortable feel to me. The 60 minute massage I booked started on time, but it was just okay. This is the first time I've ever had a massage that didn't use warm lotion nor wrap my feet with warm towels. Honestly, the entire experience and building felt chilly the whole time I was there. I noticed at the end of my massage that the thermometer in the room read 68 degrees, yikes! I also was confused because of conflicting signage regarding cells phone. One sign said "discouraged" in the quiet area and another sign said "not allowed". Either way, while I understand "respecting other's relaxation" for some of us part of relaxing and renewing is scrolling social media and reading on our KindlKindle apps because we are too busy during the week. Overall, I felt very awkward most of the time I was here.

They do a great job of asking what I'm looking for at the beginning and checking in to ensure the service is meeting my needs. I'm either looking for relaxation or deep pressure to work out knots, and they are responsive in both cases.

I plan to book regular sessions to keep me feeling this good and keep my stiff old joints limber and feeling fine. Can't say enough nice things about everyone there...everyone I met was so kind and welcoming and the Aveda products they use makes the whole place smell fabulous. I love the new location ( just across the St. Croix River in Taylors Falls MN) in a gracious old home, and I felt my tension levels drop pretty much as soon as I walked through the door. This is a great place for anyone to visit alone or as a girls spa day!

I am plus size (5'7 240lbs) and this place was plus size friendly. When you make the appointment, they ask for your robe size and shoe size. Those will be located in your locker when you get walked back. They will give you a warm towel to wash your hands as you walk and it feels lovely! The lockers are easy to use. There are two toilets and a shower. This area is fairly small, however I never ran into anyone. You can undress as much (or as little) as you want. I get rid of everything but my underwear. Then you will go to the holding area. It's a very beautiful and relaxing area. There is water (flat and sparking) and some small snacks. Your provider will come get you from that room. Both times I have been here, my providers (male and female) have been very polite, friendly and respectful. The massage was wonderful! I felt amazing afterwards!! When you are done, they bring you back to The holding area and you can stay there as long as you like. The only reason I took a star off is because I had received a birthday promotion email and this was not automatically taken off at the desk. I didn't notice until I got to my car. So make sure you show/tell them at check out!! Overall, this is a nice place and I would come back

I'm not sure why this location asked, because they didn't seem to follow anything I wrote. This was for my boyfriend's birthday and his name was not on the sign when we walked in, despite me listing that in the paperwork. In the past for my birthday, I have also gotten a card. But nothing here. My boyfriend also didn't want his feet touched and that was also listed in the paperwork. Unfortunately that was not followed. We were brought to our locker rooms and they were clean, had our names and chocolates in the lockers. Very nice touch! Our robe sizes and slides were also in our lockers. There is a large shower, 2 bathroom stalls and vanity with make up lighting. We then walked to the lobby area. This was where we started to have thoughts. Employees were talking in full volume. Not very relaxing. They also kept coming in and out of the room, talking, stocking snacks constantly! Again not very relaxing. The water was nice with a lemon. My boyfriend went to get water for hot tea but the water was room temp. Not very comforting. The massages were nice. I had Ingrid and she was lovely! She did a great job and was soft in speaking during the massage. My boyfriend said his massage therapist was talking at normal volume and didn't find it as relaxing. Afterwards we said in the lobby area again. In my opinion, the fireplace at maple grove is more welcoming and comforting. This place had what looked like a diffuser and eventually it turned off and started beeping. Again not relaxing. The lobby area is also larger at the maple grove location. This location left me a bit perplexed as to why the reviews are better here than at the maple grove location....

Oh be still my heart!! This might just be my new favorite place for self care this year!! Not only…read moredid I walk out feeling so damn pretty, the atmosphere is so clean, gorgeous, relaxing and surprisingly affordable!! I've had an amazing facial so far and today, I had a lash lift and tint done. My before and after photo I snapped for my eyelashes does not do it justice (what can I say, I have punny eye lashes AND I snapped my before photo when I had a light coat of mascara on. My eyelashes are invisible without mascara and I refuse to go out in public with my eyes looking bald!) The spa bed is cushy and more comfortable than any massage table I've ever been on (and I've been on A LOT!). And when offered a blanket (the temperature in there is actually set just perfect) I said yes. Callixandra came back with a sheet and a WEIGHTED blanket!!' (I freakin LOVE those things and sleep with one year round!!) Because I had a bit of mascara on, it required a light cleaning. No problem! The stuff used smells amazing and I had no reaction at all (I'm really sensitive and picky with skin care products). The adhesive tape and silicone thing she put on my eyes to do the lash lift also did not give me any reaction compared to other taps or eye patches I've experienced in the past. Win win for me! I was also blessed with some heavenly shoulder, neck and scalp massage in between the steps of what was put on my lashes. (I'm a huge fan of scalp massage and let her know. I asked if that was generally the routine. Her response was "it depends on clients preference.") I've tried a lash tint in the past at an Aveda salon in the past and vowed to never have one again because it burned my eyes to bad and was so paint full! It left my eyes watering profusely and swollen for the rest of the day. I was a bit nervous to have it done today but had ZERO reaction at all! I would absolutely have this done again at this spa! At the end of the session, I was given a pretty wrapped chocolate and a cut little carton of water to drink. I left feeling SO relaxed, pampered and pretty! I'm definitely planning on returning and just handing them my credit card and asking for all the pampering!

Long story short do NOT go here, they botched my lash lift, are IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with,…read moreand do not communicate with each other. Long story long I scheduled a lash lift and tint and after they were done I got home and realized how far back they were curled. I have pretty long lashes and they were half the length of my natural lash because of how much they were curled, they were touching my eyelid. I got them done the Sunday before memorial day and gave the lashes a day to see if they relaxed at all which they did not so I decided to give them a call on memorial day and fill out a questionnaire on the website but wasn't sure if I'd get a response back since it was memorial day and I didn't see anything about whether they would be open or not on the website. Then I called again the Tuesday after leaving a voicemail like I did every other time I called them and didn't get a call back until Thursday of a front desk person saying they would call me back after talking to a specialist and see if anything could be done. She said she'd call me in an hour or two and on Friday I still hadn't heard anything so I called a different location that answered after the second ring and said that because it was more than 24 hours after I got them done that there was nothing that could be done. I then drove to the maple grove location since I could not get anyone to return any of my calls and spoke to someone at the front desk that confirmed they were open on memorial day even though I did not get a call back. They proceeded to refund me the full amount of the lift and tint and assure me the manager would call me within the next couple of days to talk. After speaking on the phone with the manager she told me she would offer a free facial for me because of all the trouble. She assured me she would "put a note in my file" and that I could schedule something. I went to look on my account a couple days after and say nothing that could show me what the free facial would cover so I stopped by the maple grove location again and asked the same front desk worker that refunded me the lash lift what the free facial would cover. She told me that it would cover whatever I wanted, I asked her if she was sure and she said yes and that she would "put a not in my file". A month or so goes by and I schedule a hydra facial with cupping and was expecting to pay for the cupping and to tip for the full price of the service. I walk into my facial appointment settle down and after reviewing the service with me I informed the clinician about the free facial that the manager had offered me to just make sure everyone was on the same page. She left to go speak to her manager and came back saying the manager has no idea what I was talking about. She then asked me the name of the manager that spoke to me and then told me that there was recently a change in management and that she no longer worked there. All the while while I'm speaking to the clinician who is going to do my facial she is obviously very irritated and rolling her eyes. I told them that the manager and the front desk worker both told they would put a note in my account about it but they both said they couldn't find anything. After some back and forth the new manager agreed to cover the facial and that I would tip for the full price and the cupping. After the service the same front desk worker who I had spoken to about the refund and free facial was there with the manager who suddenly decided they would cover the full service and I would pay for the tip. Overall very very very horrible costumer service, would not recommend at all.
