Amazing coffee! And lovely service! Definitely recommend the coffee and cookies here.

Good breakfast! Came back after getting a chocolate chip cookie yesterday that was AMAZING! Perfect combo of crisp and chewy. Had the croissant breakfast with avocado added. Really good. The maple biscuit sandwich was also good, biscuit a bit dense, but probably necessary to hold the weight of the sandwich. Both came with a little slice of banana bread for dessert. Pet friendly establishment for which we were grateful! Will come back for red velvet cake next time.

Such a great family business, staff and owners are amazing and friendly. Food and pastries are always fresh. Loved the sausage and gravy, homemade maple chicken sausage so delicious , the best brioche doughnuts I've ever had. Just a great experience overall. Must give this a try when you are in town.

When I found out the little Italian place was gone I was soo sad. But as soon as I stepped foot into this new bakery I was hit with the most amazing scent of cinnamon, fresh bread, and fresh coffee. They have an amazing selection of pastries (you must try the donuts) and a solid breakfast menu! Staff is kind, welcoming and sooo helpful. This place reminds me of grandma's in the best ways possible.

Fresh loaf! Chewy, crunchy and delicious!

Kernville is an adorable town that has no shortage of good restaurants, but they did not have a good bakery/restaurant. Enter Sequoia Mountain bakery. Obviously they home-make everything and everything is delicious. Their country sourdough, their donuts, cinnamon roll are all fantastic, but their food is outstanding as well! The soups in the winter, the BLT anytime, & the pasta salad as a side, all of it absolutely delicious. There's plenty of seating. The wait time is never long. The staff is always friendly. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and get yourself something good.

Delicious food, fresh bread and pastries, generous portions, and reasonable prices. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere conveniently located across from Circle Park. Easily the best spot in Kernville.

I love this local Bakery- the breakfast sandwiches and pastries are delicious! And they're well staffed so they're pretty quick in the kitchen as well in our experience. We loved the croissant and sourdough breakfast sandwiches, chocolate croissant, carrot cake muffin and lattes. It's really cute for a sit in but was easy to take our food to go. We also bought a loaf of sourdough bread for only $8. Thank you

Such a cute bakery with amazing pastries and sandwiches, coffee, indoor and outdoor seating and excellent service. The special touches like little piece of banana/zucchini/poppyseed bread with food. This is one of our go to spots while visiting Kernville. Grab a loaf of their sourdough bread to take home! Can't wait to come back.

Good coffee and danish, donuts, scones etc. I also heard they do a great traditional breakfast. But we didn't have the time.

The basket is filled with a good amount. Some good sized curds about the sized of a Brazilian nut. I truly love some fried pickles & an especially picky when it comes to fried pickle SPEARS. Other places have ruined the experience for me, because the spears are not patted dry before the coating process. Which means when you bite into the fried pickle spear- your first bite will rip off a majority of the coating and the spear wasn't coated. Here at KRB, each visit- has been what you'd want your fried pickle experience to be! A full order of chicken wings are what you'd expect. Good enough for two people & served with celery stalks to cool down that tongue. Fried calamari: I'm hungry & love all things crispy & fried. Especially after a long journey to arrive here. The breading is what you'd expect for Country Fried Steak. So different, but, really good. Especially with a nice cold one to wash it down. The Santa Fe Egg Rolls: Three egg rolls cut in half. I still wonder if these are fresh made or frozen? The stuffing inside was delicious & plentiful. Chicken, roasted peppers, black beans, corn, cilantro, jalapeño, & cheese. Served w/ spicy Chipotle dip. Staff is always friendly. We've never sat at the outside areas or the elevated/ second floor inside. There's TVs to watch whatever game near the bat

It was a nice set up with outdoor seating next to the brewery. The staff were very friendly and always looking to top off a water or bring a fresh beer. Food was good with plenty of options for picky eaters. Try the potatoes wedges! We ended up here again for dinner. This time we tried the original pub of the brewery. It was busy but the staff kept things moving. Same beers available here with a slightly different fare. My son, the pickiest eater ever, woofed down a pulled pork sandwich and noted for the fish and chips. One of the better fish and chips meals I've had in a long team. Come hungry and don't forget to pick up some canned brew on the way out.

Tuesday, March 10th, we traveled to Bakersfield to pick up a vehicle I had purchased, and of course had to stop by Kohnen's. My wife and I split a Tuna and Cheddar Panini, and a loaded Turkey (we arrived too late for Sourdough!!). It is difficult to walk away without a mini-pie (try them all, but blackberry is freaking amazing!!). As always, Danelle was there with her typical congeniality and work ethic! We love her!! And I got to tell her about her doppelgänger in a restaurant in Yucaipa!! They do exist!! In summary, eat at Kohnen's!! Say hi to Danelle!

I visited Kohnen's Bakery Tehachapi yesterday with my family, and this was honestly one of the…read moreworst customer service experiences I've ever had. I only purchased two items -- one cream puff and one slice of cheesecake -- but the cashier charged my card THREE times due to repeated mistakes. Here's exactly what happened: 1) My first card (Card A) was charged $11.20. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said yes. Then she told me the receipt didn't come out because the transaction "didn't go through," and asked me to provide my card again. 2) I gave the same card again, and this time she charged $11.69. 3) Then again, she told me that it didn't go through, so I used a different debit card (Card B), which was charged $11.20. While sitting at the table with my family, I immediately checked my bank account and thought I had only been charged twice. I spoke to a staff member at the store and requested a refund for one of the $11.20 charges, which was processed. However, today I realized I had actually been charged three times, meaning there was still another $11.20 that needed to be refunded. So I called the bakery and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with someone named Danielle. I calmly explained the entire situation and told her I would send all my receipts and bank transaction records by email so they could double-check and confirm everything. She said ok and gave me their email address, but it was very long, and I was concerned about making a mistake while writing it down. So I politely asked if she could text me the email address instead. Her response was extremely rude -- she said, "I'm not required to do that," and told me to just write it down myself if I had a pen and paper. Although I was already uncomfortable with her attitude, I carefully wrote it down and sent the email. However, the email bounced back as invalid, even though I had confirmed the spelling with her multiple times over the phone. When I called again, Danielle answered and said, "Ma'am," in a very dismissive tone, and told me that they had found the three charges and had already processed refunds for both $11.20 transactions. I tried to confirm which card the refund was going to, since I used two different cards, but after putting me on hold for a long time, she read off a card number that was not mine. When I told her that wasn't my card, she insisted those were the only transactions for $11.20 yesterday and told me to "check my bank in a few days" and call back if the refund doesn't show up. And, she didn't apologize for the mistake, even though they charged my cards three times and wasted a significant amount of my time. Even yesterday, when I asked for an apology, I only received one reluctantly after I pointed out that they had made a mistake -- and even then, the response was dismissive, as if I should just accept it because they were "taking care of it." The attitude throughout this entire situation was rude, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. The cheesecake was very good. But because of this experience, I would never come back. We drove all the way from Los Angeles to Tehachapi with my family, expecting a pleasant visit, but this bakery completely ruined the day. Being charged a total of $34.09 for just two small items due to repeated errors is unacceptable. If your staff cannot properly process payments, they should not be working as cashiers. Situations like this should never happen. What's even worse is that after making multiple mistakes, there was not a single sincere apology -- only attitude, dismissiveness, and instructions for me to keep checking my bank and call back again. My time is valuable. This entire situation could have been avoided if things were handled properly from the beginning. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I am very disappointed. Cf) For reference, the other $16.05 receipt is for bread that my brother purchased.
