We were craving ice cream. They were COMPLETELY out of everything except a sherbet!!! My son decided to get a shaved ice and the lady had been sitting on a chair for a customer. She walked to the freezer and took out the ice block. I asked her "Are you going to wash your hands?" She said "I will have gloves on, but I'll wash them if you want me to". I said yes please because you were on your phone and who knows what's on your hands. That so gross that had I not asked her to wash her hands, she wouldn't have. The line was out the door but very quick. I only waited about five minutes. The amount of ice cream they give you is decent for the price. However, when I tried to order the flavor I wanted, the girl taking my order said they were all out. I ordered a different flavor, and then when the guy behind me ordered, he was able to order the flavor I wanted. It made me feel like I wasn't worth the "inconvenience". Anyway, that's my only gripe. This place probably once was a neat place to get treats at, but the service and out come we got was awful! Not only was the staff rude, but she couldn't even make the drink correctly, the shop also had dead succulents out and for sale too!! This treat store is also a small shop that sells little trinkets, I wouldve bought a succulent if they were well cared for. It just seems like things have been neglected for awhile. Their smoothies are so delicious! We have had the mango and also the strawberry pineapple. They are perfectly tart and fill out the taste so they don't seem overly sweet. I'm very disappointed in how this shop has turned out over the years, I used to love coming here for a sweat treat especially since the old something sweet sadly closed down. I came in for frozen yogurt which is originally what the shop is for but the machine was down, not a big deal but i've visited a few times in the last couple of months and it never was working. The only people working there are underaged children who seem very confused in what they are doing. I know one of the kids who is working there and she is definitely under the age of 14 which i'm pretty sure is illegal in the state of california for children under 15 to be working, especially by themselves. I asked if there was an adult there working and she replied with no she's the only one there, a child was the only one there. Just super disappointed in the new owners of the shop makes me sad to see something so sweet go down hill. read more
