the location was great and it was clean and stocked with essentials. However, the hotel indicated that it sleeps 3 but it slept 3 very uncomfortably. 2 on the queen bed and one on a futon. I was on the futon and i'm 5'2" and my feet hung over. Futon was small and tipped over if you didn't lay right in the middle and the crack that folds it in half is on your back. it's more like a dog bed. there were lots of creepy crawlies so sleeping on the floor was not an option. read more

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was good and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Closed to the National Park entrance. Recommended. read more

What a delightful place... they have converted a small motel into individual suites. Our room was newly renovated with all the amenities (including coffee maker) and service was excellent. We asked about bedding for the futon a few hours before we checked in and it was there when we arrived. There is no check in desk, it's all handled by text and an app.. super easy! Definitely recommend if you're visiting Sequoia National Park, it's only a few minute drive from the entrance. read more

Need hot water. Better internet! Buffers way too much. Pool is dirty. Code to room never worked properly. Had to call the office, which is located off sore every time we got in room. We did this for 3 nights. Need I say more. read more

We saw the sketchy review from the past but since a lot of time had passed and recent reviews were good, we decided to "risk" it and we are glad we did. This place was emaculate and really great for standard motel status. Chris checked us in and she was really sweet and informative. Gave us a lot of tips and shared her favorites in the area. Very cordial. Our room was clean, decorated and updated. The pool was squeaky clean and a nice perk after hiking around the park all day. Her garden was also blooming and well kept, honestly had no complaints here. It's a motel, so you get what you get when it comes to motel experience and for us this was 5 star in that kind of scale. read more

This motel is under new management who put a lot of work into renovating it and the rooms are cute and comfortable. The pool is open and clean, parking is fine. The rooms were cozy and clean. Just a few miles from the National Park. Check-in involved receiving a code to open your assigned room door at 4:00 or after. We were hoping for an early check-in at 2:00 but we could not enter and there was no one on site if you had questions or needed anything. We came back after 4:00 so not sure if the door would have opened a little earlier. They only have potable water so you need to bring your own drinking water. I would stay here again as it is one of the more affordable places to stay in Three Rivers. read more

We had a great stay at the sequoia motel! Despite a mix up with our reservation (it's still not clear who was at fault), the sequoia motel was able to put us up for the night for an excellent price. Our stay in cabin #5 was clean, comfortable, and full of amenities like a full kitchen and a duraflame for the stove. Make sure to check out Chris' beautiful new landscaping. Keep in mind that this is a motel adjacent to a national park, not a big city resort, and you won't be disappointed. Pictures of bug bites from another reviewer seem to be mentioning a different business? read more

The location is very convenient. The ice machine is nice. The rooms looked cleaned. But I got bed bug bites all over my body staying here. The room was supposedly made before and during our stay but they were still filthy. read more

After making a last minute decision to visit Sequoia National Park while on our way to Los Angeles, my boyfriend and I called around to nearly every hotel/motel in Three Rivers, searching for an opening. After being rebuffed multiple times and searching for lower prices, I was able to get ahold of the owner of Sequoia Motel! Not only did she have a room available, but it was far cheaper than any of the other locations with rooms available. We booked the room and continued on our drive, with the owner promising to leave our key under a mat, since we would be arriving long after the front desk closed for the night. An hour or so later, she called us back to tell us that she had accidentally double booked the room, but would be relocating us to one of their cabins without extra charge! When we finally arrived, we found the cabin cool (she turned the swamper on, so it wouldn't be hot) and the bed amazingly comfortable. When we checked out the next day, she was exceptionally friendly and gave us some advice with regards to food and what to see in the National Park. Needless to say, I would definitely stay here again if we came back. :) read more

$275 for two nights? Just not worth it. Beds were awful - my back is in agony this morning. Old spring mattresses with a deep dent in the middle, incredibly soft with no support. They did not clean the room at all - no clean towels, no beds made, nothing. The towels and comforters smelled moldy and the beds didn't even have sheets - just the comforters. The two stars are because 1 - it was clean and 2 - it's really close to the park. read more

This is a basic hotel close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park that had a lot of nice little touches. It's not fancy by any means, but was a affordable, comfy spot to sleep between days in the park. And the rates were reasonable. There's a gazebo out front and several other outdoor seating areas, along with a swimming pool. Each room has two plastic chairs in front of their entrances. Our room had a little bookshelf over a small TV, with several books on the shelves. I think that might be a first for a hotel I've stayed in! It also had a coffee pot, and I believe tea, and the wallpaper on one wall was a nature scene. Wifi works in some, but not all rooms as others have noted. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were spare pillows. We didn't hear anything from neighboring rooms. The owner/manager was helpful and friendly. I'd definitely stay there again. read more

It's not a fancy one, so if you are looking for luxury that's not the place. But, it has a good location just before the Sequoia national park and close to few restaurants. Chris, the owner, was very nice and welcoming. The motel has a nice pool and tables outside. The room was simple - clean towels and sheets, comfertable bed, and the AC did the job. We enjoyed our stay there and because the price is moderate we got a good value for our money. read more

Cozy and beautiful place close to everything and the person on the desk was so nice helpful

Was going to give this 3 stars becuase this was the alternative to sleeping out on the ground and the price is cheap enough, the owner is nice, and there's a pool, but after considering the entire stay, 2 stars seems appropriate. I could have gone with another place down the road, but being on a budget...the cost difference was a meal for three and I'm not sure it if would have ever been any better. So essentially you get what you pay for. Its like camping! But it provides a few more of the basic necessities...a bed, running water, shower, air conditioning. Albeit all of these, they were all sub-"eh". There's supposed to be wifi, but we weren't able to pick up a signal the whole time. I think it's funny that we were told we would get better reception if we're outside than if we're in the room. Who wants to hop of their computer outside, in the middle of the nite in the middle of nowhere??? The owner, Chris is friendly and welcoming, and readily gives you answers to questions I suspect have been many times asked. It's cute that she's showing off her photography of pics shes blown up hanging on the wall. They're really quite nice. I thought she was going to try an sell me them or something! Better her to brag than to sell, especially after a long drive. So the room...what can I say... -The cobwebs are a nice touch. Dusted much? -The bathroom doesn't look like they're well cleaned. I pulled out the gunk from the shower so I didn't have to step in past visitors' hair and snot. Sooo gross! -The shower's water pressure is fine, but too bad it's just one stream! -Adjustable head ain't adjusting. Maybe the grime around it has it stuck. -The non-smoking room smells like cigarettes and smoke. The air conditioner is loud and just blast air. Tried different settings but can't tell the difference btw them. -I question how they wash the towels, cuz I found dirt stains and hair and the towels I used smell like urine! But on the surface they looked clean! -I definitely won't be using the top blanket or the pillows with the matching cases. The white sheets seem clean enough though. -I left with a bunch of bug bites, I hope to god it was the mosquitos and not fleas. -complimentary coffee and tea, but when we were about to make coffee, we discovered the used filter from last guest still in the machine! So we did brave it and made coffee, but they didn't even clean out the pot after we used it! Seriously!!! -sure they fixed our bed and gave us more towels, but they didn't clean. I was wearing clean white socks and was walking around, they got pretty dirty. Plus they didn't take out the trash. Hmmmmm....maybe I should change this to 1 star....but I'm in a good mood. read more

It's close to the park and exactly what you need if you're looking for a cheap accommodation close to sequoia national park. But it's still a motel so not the best looking place to stay at. It's worth the price you're willing to pay read more

My boyfriend and I made a last minute reservation here easter weekend, since all the other places to stay were booked. Quiet little place with a pool and a gazebo lounge area out front. Its a one story motel so parking is literally right in front of your room which was nice. The room had a nice shower, fresh towels, a closet, tv, books, and a coffee maker. The bed had clean sheets, and was some what comfy. There is WIFI there but you have to stand by the front office to receive it. Overall a solid 4. This was just our headquarters to return to after a long day out enjoying nature. read more

We would definitely stay at this motel again the next time we decide to stay in town while visiting sequoia national park. Cute, comfortable room. It was really hot at night, we had to use the loud AC, but it didn't bother us. No fridge, which was a bummer since we wanted to keep our beers cold, but it was ok since we enjoyed them in the pool area instead. (Weather was perfect at night by the pool.) We stayed in a room close to the office, that was a plus because we were able to get a good wifi connection. The owners were nice and helpful, the vibe was just right throughout our whole stay. read more

We called late during a busy season to book and the place I called first was full but recommended this place. I'm not sure the curb appeal does it justice. The owners have done an outstanding job loving this place. The rooms are updated, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The shower is very nice. The location is perfect. The grounds are lovingly cared for. I would definitely go back!! read more

Pretty good location, only a few miles from the entrance to the park. Don't expect fancy, it's pretty basic. The WiFi doesn't extend to all the rooms, we couldn't pick up a signal in ours. Don't expect cabins! The website is very misleading, it seems there were multiple cabins to choose from but in reality it's standard motel layout. If there were other buildings we didn't see them. It did seem a little pricey for what you get but everything near the park is more expensive. Aside from the little things we did have a pleasant stay and I wouldn't mind staying here again, at least I know what to expect now. Oh, and the staff is very friendly!! read more

I had so much fun here, it is close to the park and to a few restaurants. There is a pool which was really cool. It was very cozy. The people were very nice there. Of course it's not the ritz but it was exactly what we were looking for. Great price, good people. read more

Chris, the owner, and her dog were so nice and helpful! We booked a room rather last minute on Easter weekend. The price was good for the area, the room was a basic clean room with a private bath, and everything was just what we needed to come back and rest each day after hiking the park. Chris had some great suggestions for food, from a local's perspective, and I really appreciate it! read more

Good place for the money if you can't get a place in the park. The owner, Chris, is friendly and helpful - see my review of the Visalia KOA as a prequel to this. Room wasn't very modern, but it did the job it needed to do. The shower water pressure was so high that water splashed over the door, and it was a bit short for me (I'm 5'10"). Not many channels on the tube, but plenty of novels in the room for your reading pleasure. Chris also let us use the grill in the adjacent trailer park, and since we were eating cheap and making our own food, that worked out real nice. read more

Absolutely awful!! As a start a lizard run out of the sheets, but this is the fun part...the place isn't at all clean, we found a dirty sock and an empty bottle of water under the bed while cheasing the lizard out of the room! The ceiling light wasn't warking. Everithing looked kind of run down, the bathroom as you can see in photo isn't very inviting...sure it is in a good position for the park but it's also pretty expensive... read more
