Outdoor kitchen has propane stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc

Location is directly on 245, not via Miramonte turnoff. Very cute & nice. Innkeeper has obviously gone to great lengths to make guest feel comfortable and it shows. Well maintained. Rooms look almost brand new construction. We were in room #3 which has 2 bedrooms & sleeps 4. Trundle bed slides out from under daybed. We used the outdoor kitchen for dinner & breakfast. It was great having pots & pans, cutlery, spatula, stove, microwave, & BBQ to use. We really loved the outdoor kitchen & shaded dining area with cute red and white checkered tablecloth. A number of apple trees grow on property, plus a nice garden. Innkeeper knows plants. Room was very quiet even though very near road maybe because the rooms are lower on the hill than the road is. And almost no traffic at all. We stayed here on our way to Kings Canyon, Sequoia National Park & Yosemite. Did Grants Grove same day. TIP: If you want to use the fridge, turn it up to mid-cold as soon as you get there. Fridges are kept powered on, but at warmest setting which is not even cool, but I'm sure saves a lot of electricity when they are not in use. Shower was great, just like home (but narrow). Parking is super easy. Rooms were small & very clean. No A/C, but room was cool when we arrived due to correct use of windows, blinds & fans. Outside temp was hot, maybe 85 when we arrived. We opened all windows when the temp dropped to 62 at night in June. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Apple Place & would definitely recommend & stay here again. Great value for money. See photos to get an idea of the place. Horse-friendly. No WiFi, no TV. You can pretend your cellphone doesn't work (but it does). No shopping nearby. Perfect getaway.

This was our cabin near the kitchen.

This place was so accommodating, it had everything needed in the a kitchen. A cute little stove, barbecue, and fully stocked with all your paper products and cooking ware for breakfast lunch or dinner. All you need is bring is your food. They had refrigerators in the rooms and in the shared kitchen. The rooms are clean and so adorable, the beds are comfortable. It's only an hour drive to the Kings Canyon national Forest. What a hidden gem! There was no wifi but I had cell service.

Wonderful place! Great value! Clean and friendly!

My partner and I came here for Christmas weekend, wanting to get away from the city, and we were not disappointed by our choice at all! The rooms are redecorated, the food Jackie serves is AMAZING and they are both so extremely hospitable! The location is really great because it is easy to get to the local shops and the park entrance. I cannot say enough good things about our stay, and we will be back soon for another relaxing getaway!

I stayed two nights, first breakfast was french toast and WOW.(best in my life no joke), second breakfast was a spinach frittata also Very good (I am going to try making it!). Most of the breakfasts come with a special jam or sirup that is home made. The home has a very hommy feel to it. The rooms are very nice and feel like a nice hotel room, but no TV (not that you need) Fresh baked brownies sat in the kitchen! Don't bring pets if going to the national parks they cant really do much! Hairdryer in the hall to share if you need! They have a deck on the second floor with a fridge and table/chairs for sharing with other guest (note a room does sit behind with a window) Did I mention FRESH baked brownies sat in the kitchen?

You don't want to write a bad review because the place is quite amazing. So for as long time, I didn't write a review. I feel bad now that the old owners sold the place and they never got my positive review. There is new ownership here, but nothing has really changed. Everything seems to be the same quality. Every time I'm up in Shaver Lake, I opt to bring my crew here and they love it. Quiet, safe, and we always battle over who gets the upstairs Jacuzzi tub room. The new ownership responds to texts and concerns very quickly. Yes, there are other places in Shaver that look equal to this one, or maybe even more updated and very different, but if you're looking for coziness and "hygge"... This is your place.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, activities, and amenities. The big bed has a comfortable mattress and there is a heater extra blankets. The mini fridge in the room would not recommend I don't think it worked despite turning the knobs to higher setting, there is a communal fridge in the dining kitchen area, so you can write your name with a note and use that if necessary. People don't really need to bring much as the resort has everything you might need. However, extra body wash, shampoo, and such would be useful to bring if traveling with a large group because the ones offered in the bathroom come in tiny trial size containers. The bunk beds seemed to have a inflatable mattresses so if planning a trip with multiple adults that could be a concern if picky. My boyfriend and I stayed during Memorial Day weekend, and we were very happy with this place. The mountains had some visible snow still from the lodge deck. Check in and Check out was simple and easy. If you need to work remotely with strong internet, know that while the wifi is Starlink, it's spotty. There were s'mores our first night which reminded me so much of camping growing up. We were in the Sugar something lodge, and the hot water did not disappoint, reliable and hot each time. Water pressure okay and as expected being so remote. Food is all self serve, and it's very organized. There is a small ice maker as well to fill up water bottles for the day. The food was consistent. If you get bored easily, i recommend checking out board games at the front desk. If technology dependent, were sort of able to download slowly episode of a show on Netlfix while there, but I recommend doing this earlier in advance at home or wherever signal is fast. All the workers are kind, and we highly recommend partaking in the activities that are offered daily. There are 2 tennis courts too, lap pool, hot tub, bouncy house (sometimes on), kids trampoline, lounge chairs galore, communal books. The Archery was a blast, it gave us a chance to try it, and the canoeing was so relaxing. Upon request, they have a bagged lunch system so if you plan to venture out to the famous site seeing hikes or spots at Seqoia National Park, it could be helpful. There are many activities, and it is incredibly family friendly. I highly recommend to all no matter what age. I would definitely stay again and recommend to people who want a fun relaxing spot for camping vibes or outdoor activities. Also everything at the resort is walking distance so pretty convenient. Also AWD or 4WD highly recommended as of right now 10-15 mins of the route is dusty dirt unpaved road uphill/downhill. However, we did see a BMW sedan once but we felt bad for the car.
