I ordered a glass of red wine and she brought out a white, and they were definitely a bit thrown by my friend's request for an Old Fashioned. They did make a solid one though! The steaks took a while, which was fine since we weren't in a rush. Mine came out great! I liked the Montreal steak spice flavor and general preparation. Unfortunately, I seemed to get the only good steak of the bunch. The other 3 were very overcooked and under-seasoned. Otherwise though, we all enjoyed the veggie and baked potato sides. I heard occasional noises inside the building. Around the side a door was open. At the doorway was a traffic cone with a "no trespassing" sign on it. 3 feet inside this open door was another door which said "employees only". I yelled inside "anyone there" several times". After 30 minutes I started using my phone to find a different hotel. As a last measure, I took one step past the "no trespassing" sign to knock loudly on the "employees only" door. After a few minutes, a young man, who seemed stoned, came out of this door and yelled at me for trespassing. I left and found a different hotel.

The location for cycling was nice because the road was temporarily closed off for construction and traffic was late. It was also close enough to local businesses. In short: Check-in was easy. Parking was plentiful and easy, The girl working the front counter was super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Prices were reasonable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was offered. Although I did not use them, there was a pool and Jacuzzi area. The only downside, was there was no fitness room. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely visit again.

My private room faced one of the surrounding "Three Rivers," which was astounding to see every morning. The fresh air, trees, and small town vibes were calling to me. This lodge is located just outside of the Sequoia National Forest Park. You can walk to the entrance but it takes an hour to drive up to the main trails and sequoia trees. *Cellular service is spotty here. However, they offer free wifi while staying here. *No Cleaning service here so don't forget to make your bed and clean up after yourself:) if you are OCD like me, lol! *Fresh towels, TP, trash bags, ice, DVDs, games, books are available in the front office. *Each room has "Fresh Organic Coffee Beans, an electric coffee grinder, microwave, small fridge, TV with satellite and a DVD player. *Free parking *Private cabins located across from the lodge with small kitchens and bathrooms.

I stayed two nights, first breakfast was french toast and WOW.(best in my life no joke), second breakfast was a spinach frittata also Very good (I am going to try making it!). Most of the breakfasts come with a special jam or sirup that is home made. The home has a very hommy feel to it. The rooms are very nice and feel like a nice hotel room, but no TV (not that you need) Fresh baked brownies sat in the kitchen! Don't bring pets if going to the national parks they cant really do much! Hairdryer in the hall to share if you need! They have a deck on the second floor with a fridge and table/chairs for sharing with other guest (note a room does sit behind with a window) Did I mention FRESH baked brownies sat in the kitchen?
