This is no frills, walk in and get some decently priced teriyaki - and for that, it's a great spot. Big fan of their beef teriyaki, veggie fried rice, and the recently added Korean spicy pork. I really appreciate how even the simple rice is cooked well. It's never mashed, mushy or been sitting for long. It's the small things! They are almost always busy so call ahead, give them time, or be prepared to wait a bit. It's super casual inside and most often takeaway seems like. Not to be confused with the other teriyaki spot here. This one doesn't have sushi other than California rolls with their bentos. This one is on the Home Depot and PetCo side (the other is on the Walmart side). Personally, I like this one a lot more! read more

I've never actually had bad Teriyaki. I should have known when it was delivered faster than a Big Mac. Clearly overcooked reheated chicken. Very dry and stringy. Salad...it's pretty simple to make an Asian side salad. The only way to mess it up is to not use iceberg lettuce. Service was friendly and bathroom as clean. read more

I've been eating here for years and I really like the food, but tonight I'm angry. I was on a tight schedule. I needed to get my food and be out of there by 5:50, and I left myself about half an hour to be sure I wasn't late. I went in and stood in line. The woman at the counter was flustered and was having trouble balancing the phone orders with in-person orders. Fine, people get flustered, I'm a patient person. When I reached the front of the line I had to wait a few minutes while to-go orders were put out. I started to feel like I was less important than the phone orders and I don't understand why that would be. This was confirmed when a phone customer came in behind me, and the woman at the register asked me to step aside so she could pay for her food. I was there before this customer. She should have waited behind me and paid for her food when it was her turn. I don't care if she ordered over the phone. But I didn't want to make a scene, so I stepped aside. This customer then explained that she didn't have her credit card, and asked if she could enter her card number manually. The cashier had no idea, and told her to try it and see. The credit card machine asked for a password. The customer punched in her credit card number (not a password) and locked the terminal. Then began the process of trying to unlock the terminal and get it back online. There was a lot of just pushing buttons for no reason. The line behind me began to pile up. I ran out of time and had to leave. So thank you, Bento cashier and phone customer who thinks she's more important than people waiting in line -- I get no dinner tonight. I'll probably never eat there again. They'll be fine -- they have lots of business. But not mine. read more

My family and I had been running around in town for a few hours and the sound of some chicken terriyak with pot stickers sounded like a treat for our long day. We show up at 19:40 to the front of the restaurant and as we are rolling up there's a lady standing behind the counter. We think this is great because we didn't know wether they were still open (Sequim shuts down early, especially in the winter). There was a sign on the window that state last order is taken at 19:45 and their hours were they closed at 20:00. We're thinking sweet, just made it in time. The lady behind the counter had a quite the scowl as we pull up front, we are thinking we'll that's rough but their signs states we've still got time so here we go! I definitely get it that last minute clients right before closing time can be rough (worked as a waiter for almost 4 yrs) but then don't put a sign out stating you'll take orders up to 19:45, right? The lady behind the counter, still with her scowl on, puts on her jacket walks to the door, opens it and as I'm getting out of the truck she tells me that they're closed my! My daughter had already gotten out, we were all very hungry so had her get back in and I started to talk to her but she already had tuned me out and was walking towards her truck. Not wanting to waste my time talking to someone who was in a foul mood from whatever reasons they may be (I totally get having a bad day, we all have those but if you can't handle the pressure then don't work with the public). We all sit there and realize that it was probably an enrichment because the last time we came there their terriyaki was dry and overcooked as was their pot stickers. We decided to check out the Terriyaki place by the Sequim Walmart Store and well... I left a review of that place so go check it out if you're feeling like some delicious food and warm hospitality. Don't waste your time or money here, the food has always been mediocre with little to no hospitality. If could give zero stars then I would,, we won't come back because if the service isn't warm and the food isn't tasty then why bother. read more

I just ordered general tsao chicken 5 star for take out, got home , chicken is way over cooked, flavor is ok, but it's like eating burnt leather, no teriyaki sauce included, and you have to ask for dressing on your salad. They can improve on using right type of meat for teriyaki. Rather then using breast meat which can be very dry, use thighs meat where all other teriyaki place uses. I also think they can improve on marinading. Use more ginger and soy sauce and marinade over night to get rid of raw chicken smell. Could do some cleaning inside. I can say this straight forward because I lived in Tacoma for over 40 years and in my college years I used to work for best teriyaki place in Washington. read more

Don't bother calling to order, they put you on hold until you get tired of wait in and hang up. I was on hold for 7 minutes when I hung up and called back, but by then they'd taken the phone off the hook. They do that a lot. You can order online, but it's not a much better experience. I have been a regular customer of about $100.00 a month for over a year. There have been a few glitches, but the food was worth minor inconvenience or brusque behavior by the staff. Today that ended due to the Karen that is the cashier. I am a professional caregiver for the elderly. In September I contracted Covid from a family member of my client. Unfortunately it developed into long Covid. We don't know for sure the transmissability of Covid, so to be cautious I place my order online and request they bring it to my car to avoid entering the restaurant. It has been working for months with the regular staff. Today a new girl came to my car and rudely announced they wouldn't bedoing this any more as half the staff it "100". Rude, I've met the owner he is older but not a hundred. So do the math, she just alienated a $1200.00 dollar a year customer but running her mouth about her kids. But not smart enough to realize by doing it this way I was avoiding any contact. It is hard enough facing my lungs and heart never being the same again. Being treated this way makes it worse. By Far, my favorite place to eat in Sequim! Be aware you need to get orders in by 7:15pm, regardless of what the website says! Still, they do the best General Tsao's I've ever had! We were on our way home from a long Sol Duc camping weekend. Didn't find many options that peaked our interest em route to the Kingston Ferry. This place popped up and looked fine for lunch. We were thoroughly surprised at the quality of the food. Really solid lunch joint. We ordered the chicken yakisoba, chicken teriyaki, and a bento box. I tried the bulgogi beef and California roll at Sequim Bento Teriyaki today. It's only the second time I've ever had bulgogi, and the other time was at a different fast food type Asian restaurant, so I'm not an expert on bulgogi. I can tell you that it was better than at the other place, though. The California roll is the type with the sesame seeds on the outside instead of the seaweed on the outside. It came with soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi. I asked for salad with no dressing and actually got salad with no dressing. It's open for takeout only. You can't order ahead of time to have it ready at a certain time, but the employee who helped me was extremely efficient and polite. read more

Stopped by this place after a trip to Sequim to hit Costco and Petco. I planned on getting Costco pizza until we smelled the amazing teriyaki from across the parking lot. We went in and were NOT disappointed. The portions are huge, the teriyaki sauce is delicious, and the service is quick. We make it a point to come support at least once a month (sometimes more). So she asked her "I have to pay 15% on top of the $140 dollars?" And this greedy employee told her "yes". The actual total for the food was less than $110. After a trip to HD, we stopped by this place for some grub. I ordered the chicken/pork teriyaki for takeaway since husband decided not to order anything. He wanted to eat some soup we already had at home. I was a little worried that no one else was in there and that I couldn't smell anything (I was wearing a mask so). Staff were friendly and fast which is always a good thing. When we left, I took my mask off outside and could finally smell what i was about to eat. The car ride home made my mouth water. After smelling deliciousness for twenty-five minutes or so, I was so ready to eat. When I opened the container, my eyes were surprised by the giant mound of chicken thighs and thinly sliced pork that would soon find their way to my stomach. Underneath was enough rice for two (or three small) meals. The meats were moist and tender and the small salad was just enough. It was delicious, plentiful and left me wanting more after sharing some my spouse. I may have to find a reason to go to Sequim just so I have an excuse to go back. read more
