This Sephora is located in the Short Pump Town Center and is quite the busy hub, especially on weekends. My mom and I both use Belif facial cleanser and popped in last weekend to buy some more. After unsuccessfully locating it, we asked one of the folks working where to find it. She asked what it was called, I showed her a picture, and she replied that they didn't carry it without looking into it. I was a little shocked considering I haven't had issues finding it at their other stores. We've opted to buy it from their website instead. read more

In the West End shopping center, this place is about half the size of Ulta. The staff members were all excellent and helped me with my shopping. My only complaint is the checkout. There was a line around quarter of the store. With 3 registers open, it didn't make sense to me, until I got there. For every closed transaction the staff had to write something on paper, fold it up, and place it somewhere behind the counter. Seriously management, with all the tools available this is the best you can come up with? Left feeling bad for the register people who had to perform this stupidity! read more

This Sephora is amazing! It's one of my favorite shops here in Short Pump. It's a girly girl's dream shop. I only came to window shop, but as temptation would have it... Let's just say I always come in not really wanting to spend any money, but for some odd reason I always find something to buy. There is so much selection here. And it's clean for being a beauty supply store. This store always has the newest trending fragrances that aren't available anywhere else. My current favorite perfumes are from Kayali and Tom Ford. And of course they have the newest Tom Ford fragrance, Cafe Rose. At $115 for the smallest bottle, it's a bit pricey but I need this! I don't care if I just bought a bottle of Black Orchid... It's way too easy to spend entirely too much time and money here. So I definitely look forward to coming back soon! read more

I'm on the prowl for a new fragrance and decided to try Sephora on a whim. Full disclosure I am a very indecisive little Libra so I already knew I wasnt going to find what I needed going into the store. Upon entering the store I was immediately greeted by a sales associate. I gave her my story about needing a new fragrance and her response blew my mind. "We can make you a complimentary sample pack to take home..." talk about a complete game changer. The option to try a few things before I bought them was not even on my radar.The sales associate lead me to the back and summoned the fragrance concierge to assist me. The fragrance concierge helped me nail down a few solid choices and within minutes me and my sample pack were out the door. This is one of the many reasons Sephora reigns supreme in the beautyverse!! I was shopping on the Sephora website and an offer for 25% off with credit card approval populated. Since it was a significant order, I was approved for the card instantly and headed to checkout with my 25% off discount. I did not receive the discount, only error messages. Customer service was powerless to help and kept repeating that it was a known issue with the credit card company... They offered nothing just an I'm sorry, 50 times, but that we could reorder everything when the card came in the mail. They then offered to transfer to the bank to cancel the credit card... Thanks Sephora, 2 hours I'll never get back. I normally love shopping at Sephora just browsing and looking at the new makeup and fragrances but this one time I went inside this location to pick up an order and was browsing while waiting but I quickly noticed a store employee following me around. I am an African-American female so I felt automatically targeted. I may not have felt so bad if she offered to help but she didnt and she made sure she watched my every move. It was a very unpleasant experience. Nonetheless I told the manager and they were very nice and encouraged me to complete the survey and express my concerns which I did and nothing happened. I do not plan to return to that location or any other Sephora. They should teach their employees about cultural sensitivity. read more

I haven't had any of the negative experiences that other reviewers seem to have had here. I love this Sephora. Thankfully I'm able to go on off times since I work from home. Otherwise, you have to brace yourself for the weekend crowds which can be iconic. There is a lady who works here with long, long dreads who is uh-mazing! I always forget her name, but she always finds me exactly what I'm looking for and she's amazing at finding the right foundation match on African American skin, a skill that is pretty rare in the mainstream beauty scene. I also love the fact that you can get samples of pretty much anything. This is what takes Sephora up a notch above Ulta for me. Are Ulta's discounts better? Yes. Does Ulta carry more affordable brands? Yes. But, you don't go to Sephora if you want to be cheap. Join their VIP program and you'll get a cute birthday gift and other perks throughout the year. The sephora employees followed me and my friend around the store thinking we were stealing makeup,because we had expensive prouducts in our hand. It's is normal for 14r year Olds to have a job and make money to spend. And we felt uncomfortable so we had to put all the prouducts back.They even had the manager take photos of us. Sadly I did not get the name but the Manger but she was old with a blonde Bob and the employee was a redhead and a bit on the bigger side. It is illegal to take photos of other people without permission especially when we did nothing wrong. I decided to give curbside a try since it was offered for my order. I showed up, checked in via the app and the app confirmed it had checked in. After waiting 15 minutes, I called the store. No answer. I started to walk to the store but still had the phone on dial. Someone answered and said they didn't get an alert that I was there waiting. She asked my name and my vehicle info and said she would get it right out. Waited 10 -15 minutes and NOTHING. I called back and she said well we came out and didn't see you!! I said I'm at curbside. I had the best experience today that made me want to come on here and write about it. I was returning a bunch of stuff that didn't work for me. Each return had to be done by itself. I knew it was going to take a long time. I wasn't super worried about it. However, Cody (who has to be some kind of manager I think) was so grateful for me waiting he gave me a bunch of free samples!! That was SO nice of him! He also recommended me an awesome eyelid primer the time before I was in there. I've had some really great times at this Sephora. Every time I've worked with any of the associates for my needs they always have met them!! I have never returned any product they recommended for me!! All of their associates know what they are doing. It's really refreshing. You don't always see such talent all the time at every Sephora across the board. But here in Short Pump, they know what's up. I am convinced the girls that work here at this particular location are only here for the make-up discounts. This one girl was helping me with my make-up Shay. Shay was amazing. This other girl Racheal, Virginia, Victoria (I cannot remember her name but it was one of those). She was doing my make-up and after they I asked her to use another palette (she said she had to go on lunch) but then I saw her walk away and begin helping someone else. I typically dread going into any Sephora, but especially the one at Short Pump; however, my obsession with makeup and impatience for online shopping keeps me coming back time and time again. When you here others say these associates completely ignore their customers, it's no lie. I just ran in to find a specific item and spent 15 min trying to find assistance. I am a full time mom, with a toddler that wasn't happy about the busy day we've had, so I hoped to get in and out. After waiting for 15 min and hearing other customers comment about how "they don't understand why anyone would bring a child into this store" (I'm a 35 year old mother of three, I have a wedding to go to this weekend, and just wanted to look nice) needless to say I left. Location, location, location! I freaking love Sephora and was excited when I heard they were opening a location at Short Pump. I prefer this mall location to the Regency Square one. For years, every time I took a customer survey with Sephora, I'd recommend they open a Short Pump store. Thankfully, they seem to listen to their customers. All my favorite makeup artists from the Regency store have moved here. This Sephora is twice the size of the old one which should mean more space for different product lines. They don't have certain product lines (such as the complete Yves Saint Laurant line) but as this store is fairly new, I'm sure they'll expand in the coming months. Everyone here is so friendly. I refer to them as pushers because I seem to never be able to leave a Sephora without a ton of samples which causes me to return to then buy the product I was sampling. I always say that samples are a gateway drug in terms of beauty products and I'm a total addict. I would definitely recommend this location as opposed to the others in the area. Better employees, better location, more space. Can't go wrong with this Sephora. read more

I came up to this one lady at skin care section, asked: " hi, would you please help me call some one to help me with some questions. I know you are helping someone right now". I was thinking thats normal since Sephora people wearing these walkie talkie and could help... she said "Kristy, can you come help, I have a customer that cannot wait a few minutes!" That was very very rude. Why did she give me an attitude when that was my first time ever talking to her??? Kristy came and said "oh she is the only one in skin care right now working". Okay. Original item was 28.00, exchange item was 28.00. Jasmine at the register didn't know what she was doing. I asked her to get a manager, she denied my request initially. Has to ask twice before she got a manager. The manager calls me "hun". Not a good choice of words for an unhappy customer at the register. read more

This review is for the beauty advisor,Cody I went into this Sephora to buy the Fenty foundation,but first I had to return one because I was wrongly matched (twice) at the Regency location. It was busy that Sunday afternoon and I had to wait. Out of all of the beauty advisors working Cody was only one to acknowledge me. Cody apologized for the wait and I explained how I had been matched wrong twice. I showed him the shades I had before, he looked at my skin and said this is the shade that I would match you with and showed me how it blended perfectly. He was right, 390 is my perfect shade! The sales associates are friendly, tend to your needs, and really take the time to get to know you. One time I came in, and one of the ladies remembered my name. Now that's great service. I go to this Sephora a lot and but Tomeka was my sales associate today and I hated my experience with her. I tried to be polite, but she kept putting her hand in her mouth because she had a loose tooth. It was honestly disgusting because she would pick up products in between all this. Eventually she sanitized her hands before she took out the samples so I was ok with it. But then when we went over to foundation she poked her mouth and wisdom teeth again and then tried to put foundation on my face WITH her dirty hands. I kind of just moved away from her because I didn't how to say you're disgusting!! Ugh such a gross experience. Y'all should either fire her or give her more training on how to have proper hygiene/manners while helping out customers!!!! I come here mainly for the brands I can't get at Ulta because believe me, if they were sold at Ulta, I would never go into Sephora. I have had better experiences at different Sephora's but this one always ends up with me being offended or annoyed. The skin care lady I see in there all the time argues with me on my own skin, I explain what it does and she, in a very patronizing way, asks me questions like "What were you expecting the product to do?" Or telling me that I am a very rare, unique case and that certain routines that don't work for me works for everyone else in the world and she doesn't see why it wouldn't for me so I'm a special case. I have combination, sensitive skin. I mentioned that I work in skincare and that I have always lived with an esthetician and then she becomes even more rude towards me. All I wanted to know is information on a brand that is newer and only sold at Sephora. Instead, I left feeling insulted. Good job, Sephora at Short Pump. read more
