I almost didn't go into Sephora after hearing how they treated that influencer, but they carry a product that I like. I will say that entering the store is very overwhelming. You are immediately bombarded with loud music and so many products crammed together. The posters are also so "loud" and in your face. It also doesn't feel clean. With so many products, it makes selecting actually harder. I recently came across Blue Mercury and I have to say, the layout is much friendlier to browse and shop. I also prefer more natural products that aren't full of toxic chemicals and it is just hard to tell anything apart at Sephora. I found what I wanted I got the last one I was so excited cause I was so overwhelmed cause I didn't know what I wanted till I found the perfect set it had Sephora's favorites so that helped a lot. Honestly, this has to be the most worst Sephora to shop in. The girls who were there legit follow you around and it's so uncomfortable. There are testers and samplers all over to try and they give you looks for even touching a product. Sadly, with how much money I throw away at Sephora this will no longer be a location I visit. I won't lie I'm notoriously an Ulta girl. I happen to be a credit card holder there and when ever I need makeup or skincare I turn there first. However recently when I've wanted certain products, Ulta doesn't carry them. Every time I walk into a Sephora, I feel like I'm cheating on my lover!! But there's just something about Sephora that makes it feel so magical. Today I walked into Sephora on a mission to find a lot of products for my quarterly make up spend. I was asked if I needed help by so many associates, it makes you feel kind of special. I definitely took their advice and found some really great new products and even if they didn't have the product in full size I found them in the minis (pro secret). Nearing the end of my shopping spree I wandered into the skin care section looking for a new sunscreen. I was helped by a wonderful associate named Nikki. She gave me the 411 on all things skin care and holy cow was she's so helpful. I suffer with severely sensitive skin, and I made it a goal in 2022 to really get my skin care game in check. I've tried countless products since January that have just broken me out or made my redness even more red. She recommended some really great products and gave me all the facts - I know you don't know me but I LOVE information. I'm so excited to try them and come back to purchase more (once I finish up some of the products I purchased previously). She even gave me some samples of some of the products I didn't purchase today that she recommended. I was really thankful for her desire to go the extra mile. If you've ever invested in skin care you know it's not cheap however it gets more expensive when you have to try 1 million products and you can't return them. Sephora has a great return policy that Nikki told me about so I feel even more confident to shop there for the things that I need! All in all sorry for the long post however I feel like everyone should know just how wonderful the service is at this location and just how quickly an Ulta girl can turn into a Sephora girl. read more

Soon as I called to check on a few items (ADAM) was pleasant, professional and delivered great customer service over the phone. He searched and placed my selected items on hold for me, and even provided other locations whom would have other items in question. Upon arrival, the employee outside the door was cheerful and educated me on the new guidelines for COVID-19. Within minutes, I was in and out. I've always liked this store but today was the icing on the cake. I walked in with plans to get a concealer and had an amazing experience with Ingrid. They were offering a 20 minute free makeup session with Fenty products. Ingrid took her time made sure the foundation matched my skin (I've noticed it's a challenge for some employees when it comes to people of color. No shade). She walked me through how to use the products I've previously purchased and walked me through the other items I needed. She took her time and was so nice. She answered all of my questions. She even helped me pick out a moisturizer, facial wash, and a neutral lipstick. She's pretty amazing. Everyone should check her out at the beauty counter. read more

I went to the Sephora at chandler mall and was so disappointed after I was color matched INCORRECTLY by the sales rep that I didn't even want to ask for help when I got to this location but happy I did! Bianca was FANTASTIC! I told her my issue with the sales rep and she immediately listened to what I was looking for and took the time to color match me to my chest and did it perfectly! She was so knowledgeable about all the products and gave me some great recommendations! So happy this Sephora location is now here! I usually have to go to one inside a JCPenny when I run low on some of my holy grail products. This was my first time stopping by. First, love how spacious it is inside! The other Sephora's I go to are always so cramped! Second, loved how clean & organized it was! I hope it stays like that! My only complaints are no one asked me if I needed help, even though there were plenty of staff around & some standing near me doing what appeared to be nothing. & one of the main items I needed, their budge-proof crayon pencil liner in Black Lace, was out of stock! This seems to be a recurring issue with all the Sephora's I go to. They seem to have a hard time keeping their own product refilled! I live in walking distance from this store but every single time I come I tell myself it's the last time and I will be better off driving to fashion square. I had so many purchases I regretted buying like coming home and my foundation they matched becomes yellow or just poorly recommended cream...today I walked in from lifetime side and it was closed...awesome I thought because I have a broken toe and move pretty slow. So I made it inside from camelback mountain entrance and got what I needed but not very friendly sales person who was very abrupt... ok then I was going toward a back door to exit and decided to ask because in the corner there were 2 sales people socializing. I asked can I exit here?, she responded No! YOU CAN'T and started approaching me very fast and pressuring me to use the other exit like I'm a chicken who needs visual signals with their hands...it was very very rude besides she came so close to me expecting me to hurry that 6feet was not nearly there maybe 1-2 feet instead! I guess no one cares me limping around due to my broken toe and my fear of getting close to people due to corona... never again I will be shopping there, I'd better drive or order online but not going to buy from this location. I've been to lots of Sephoras in different cities, but this one is one of the best! The staff are all very knowledgeable and honest when you ask about a product. I've had several questions which have lead to recommendations by the staff. Every one has been spot on and I never felt pressured into buying anything. The store always has in stock what I want and is never in disarray. This Sephora I think is the best in the Valley and has an even bigger selection than larger stores (such as Fashion Square). Any Sephora spree is fun, but this location never leaves me disappointed or unable to get what I want. read more

I booked a full makeover with Oliver on the day of my wedding and I am so happy that I did. He made me look so stunning that I couldn't even believe it was me. I came in today with questions and a list of products I wanted advice on. I was greeted with in 30 seconds, by a very kind and friendly employee. I was directed to someone who could better answer questions i had. I never felt like product was being pushed on to me and i never felt like i was being "sold" to. The entire time i felt like my needs were important and my questions were genuinely answered. Katie was introduced to me and she is so sweet and so friendly and made me feel completely comfortable. Shes so great at what she does. She answered all my questions about specific products and made relative suggestions within my needs and wants ( cruelty free and vegan ). She did a mini make over on my face and offered to do my eyes as well. She retrieved all the products for me that i wanted to purchase. Just when thought i was done i remembered i had other products i was curious about and she so kindly helped me pick those out too! This location gets a 100% in customer service! I will absolutely be returning to this store! I felt appreciated and everyone that I interacted with was kind and friendly! Today while looking at Sephora favorites beauty sets an employee named Christy approached me and accused me of attempting to open a beauty box. I merely turned the box around to read about it's contents. She happened to be walking by looked me up and down and approached me by saying "Sweetie, that's not a sample don't open the box". I proceeded to explain to her that I was not attempting to open the box and only wanted to read the back. After, which she pointed to a plastic circle seal that had been previously torn. I had to explain to her multiple times that the seal was torn before I grabbed the box. While she stared at me in an accusing manner. Then she proceeded to read the back of the box and point to pictures of the products as if I wasn't capable of doing it on my own. I felt belittled by her tone, interaction and demeanor towards me. I don't feel as if I gave her any reason to act this way towards me. I can only attribute this behavior to racial profiling. The previous reviews stating that employees at this location lack intellectual intelligence seem to be appropriate at least for this specific employee. I had the pleasure of speaking with the store manager who graciously offered samples of products to ameliorate the employees behavior. To which I gracefully declined. Yeah, the girls working here are dummies. I had to look for someone to shade match me. The girl I asked, told me she would grab someone else, even though she wasn't doing anything. I thought all employees were knowledgeable on shade matching. The girl who ended up matching me, had me take off my makeup and matched me standing up in front of some aisle mirror, and not at the actual mirror station where you sit down. Why? Idk. As I was checking out, the girl who handled my makeup exchange messed everything up. She first told me that she wasn't able to exchange it. Another employee heard her and told her "yes we can, it's only if they don't have a receipt where we can't exchange". She accidentally gave me back my OLD makeup back, and took the new makeup. I had to tell her "you're giving me my old makeup back". Then she had to get help from someone else to dismiss the transaction. read more

Ok so first let me start by saying I'm very happy to have this store down the street from my work, it's made my shopping there so much more convenient and I like be that. The store is huge and beautiful and has lots of things to choose from. But the one thing that kept me from giving a 5 star is the customer service.
