Do not have your child's birthday party here. When I spoke to the manager over the phone before…read morebooking the party, I was excited about the fun and activities that were promised. But what I received was completely different. The week of my 7 year old daughter's party, the salon was closed and my emails came back undeliverable. I panicked because I assumed they forgot about the birthday party. I had questions about the hair styling and other activities that was supposed to take place. The theme of the party was Kpop demon hunters and I wanted them to give my daughter a Rumi braid (being that it was a salon, you would think that was an easy ask?). When I finally received a call back, I was never given an answer about the hair. The day of the party, not only were there no extensions (for the birthday girl or anyone else), but the girl doing the hair looked like she's never done hair a day in her life (She even told me she was not a stylist!). She just did a simple braid on my daughter and I was really upset. For some other girls, she put a few curls with a curling iron and did nothing else. I am assuming based on my experience earlier in the week not being able to contact the salon that all the regular stylists were on vacation since the salon was officially closed. Not one of the 3 hosts had any enthusiasm and barely interacted with any of the girls. I had a few parents even say to me that they were very low energy. I think you can imagine how disappointed I was. One of the hosts did simple "face paint" where you could barely recognize what it was she was painting. She also left in the middle of the party - which I thought was very unprofessional. There was also absolutely no structure or flow to the party and everything was free for all. They advertise on the website "Stress-free and all-inclusive celebrations". This party was anything but. I was completely stressed and embarrassed the entire time. My daughter was disappointed about the karaoke. The kids were just grabbing the microphone and making noises. I was very overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. I had to stop the girl from doing hair to play the bingo game that I brought. There was no host-led dancing or other games. The salon had no cake knife or at least something to cut the cake with and the pieces were absolutely butchered. This party was clearly an afterthought and the only nice things about it were what I brought to the salon. It was embarrassing for me as the host and to have other adults notice too. The 3 ladies had no energy and looked like they didn't even want to be there. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I was also ghosted when I tried addressing these issues with the owner.

I booked an appointment late the night before, got an email soon after with a calendar invitation. I made an appointment with Jim who was amazing! He asked if he should avoid anything and focus more on something else. I told him my back has been bothering me the last couple days. He spent a lot of time working everything out. Perfect amount of pressure. He was super friendly and nice and talkative. He tries to get to know each of his patients, also tells you a little about himself too. Stayed a few minutes after the massage to chat. Great guy, great massage, great spa! I also wrote a Google response and almost immediately got a response back. They really do care.

The woman I spoke with was short, condescending, and cold. I was hoping she was just having a bad day. She wasn't there the day we went so maybe she's not there anymore.... I could not have had a better experience bringing my best friend and her 13-year-old daughter for her first blowout. It was truly a 5-star experience. And this coming form someone who used to be a frequent flyer at Drybar! September, the owner, was there and she was warm, welcoming, friendly, and on top of it all. And she has fabulous hair too! All three of our stylists were kind and made an effort to get to know us. I was offered a glass of Prosecco while I waited and who can deny that?! My goddaughter is now hooked and I know we'll be back plenty of times to come. I've been here twice now, once for a quick buff and shine manicure and once for a regular pedicure…read more I splurge once in awhile on a gel or dip manicure, fancy spa pedi, etc. but haven't had an occasion for that since I moved to the area. It's always really nice to find a place that still offers an affordable basic service, along with the high-end stuff, and still does an excellent job with the basics even though they don't profit as much. That's good business that makes me loyal, keeps me wanting to come back when I do have the chance to spend bigger. The spa has a nice atmosphere, although it does get a little loud when it's busy. Everyone is friendly and the service is quick, but not uncomfortably rushed. Massage chairs are great and they give a really excellent shoulder rub while waiting for your nails to dry, which is a great perk. Huge color selection and choices for different types of lotions and oils etc. for foot and leg massage with your pedicure. I can't speak to the durability of their polish jobs yet, but there always seem to be lots of regular loyal customers when I've stopped by. I will definitely keep coming back!

The nail technicians do good work, but the pricing is extremely frustrating…read more I was charged more than the posted price on multiple visits. The menu clearly listed UV gel fills at $55, yet I was charged $60 on one visit and $70 on another. When I questioned the higher price, I was told there were extra charges for the gel color, something that was never explained beforehand. Only after I pointed out the discrepancy was I refunded $5. Customers shouldn't have to question their bill every time they visit. Transparent pricing is basic customer service. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling like there is always going to be another surprise charge added at checkout.

I had the most wonderful experience at Gigi's 3 weekends ago. I needed a mani-pedi, eyebrow waxing…read moreand makeup application for a wedding and was coming from out of town so didn't know where to go. Gigi's didn't have a lot of reviews but all the feedback I read was excellent so I decided to try it out. So many positives: Gigi herself took the booking and was wonderfully warm, helpful and caring. She made sure a makeup artist would be available and called me back to confirm. Everyone at the salon was friendly, kind and attentive. I was using a cane after hip surgery and they were very considerate about my comfort and safety. Apologies in advance if I got some of the names wrong in the next section.... Pedi: Veronica did a great job! Only minor complaint was that pushing back the cuticle was painful---maybe more soaking and cuticle softener needed. Massage chair was great BTW! Brow waxing (Ashley): friendly and very nice, listened carefully to what I wanted, didn't remove too much, very considerate about potential discomfort (it was a breeze!). Brows looked terrific! Makeup (Melissa): absolutely wonderful. Such a nice person as well as knowledgeable, skilled and flexible to adjust to my preferences. She explained every product she was using and what she was doing, gave tips along the way and answered my many questions. I learned a lot, had fun, and the makeup was beautiful! Nails (Diana): what a consummate professional as well as a truly lovely person. She did a meticulous job on my gel manicure --- it turned out great and I kid you not, has not chipped or peeled in three, count 'em, three weeks! In fact, I waited to write my review until today so I could include a 3-week photo! Plus, Diana makes a delicious cinnamon coffee! As a bonus, Gigi's husband Link2Link (his professional name, he's a musician) had a lively and interesting conversation with my husband while he was waiting. I can't say enough good things about Gigi's! Wait, another plus: it's located in the strip mall next to the Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk. Couldn't be more convenient if you're staying there---check it out! Gigi's only opened in September 2021 so I hope they continue to grow their clientele. If I lived in the area, Gigi's would be my go-to salon for all my beauty needs, hands down (if you'll pardon the pun!).
