Spent a great birthday evening at pike and rose, and made a last stop to Sephora. Everyone was absolutely wonderful, until I got to the register. VIOLET, was absolutely rude. When she finished ringing the people up before my mother and I, as I walked up, she gave us the most obnoxious and dramatic eye roll, literally out of a fucking movie. She continued to talk to my mother with tone, and I asked her "is there an issue?". I was ready to call her out right then and there. I could tell she did not care to be there, or to be working. The store and other staff were wonderful, such a shame to have someone like that on the team to dampen the reviews. Unfortunately, I have to knock off of Star for rude and aggressive behavior on the part of a particular sales associate, Shem'ya. Shem'ya was SUPER aggressive and rude to me. I came in because I wanted to return an eyeliner that just didn't work for me. One of her colleagues greeted me and asked how she could assist. I was telling the colleague how I tightline but product still manages to get onto my contact lenses despite my best efforts. The colleague was about to make a recommendation before Shem'ya barged into the conversation and asked "what's her problem?" (As if I'm not standing right there). I begin again, explaining to her how I tightline, and she snaps at me "I know what that is... I do make up!" I try to continue, but she cuts me off and starts spewing recommendations before I can fully articulate with the issue is. Her recommendations were things that I already do, which were recommended to me by some of her colleagues during my previous visits to this store. It's clear she's not listening to me at all and when I tell her that everything she's recommending I already do, she gives me this questioning look and says "Are you sure?" (Umm... I think I know my makeup routine better than anyone.) Anyway, she starts recommending other things that make no sense and don't correspond with the issue I'm having. At this point I'm annoyed and just want to return the item which was my whole objective for coming into the store in the first place. Shem'ya tries to show me one product that she demonstrates is impossible to get off of her hand once it sets. If it's that difficult to get off of skin, why in the world would I want to purchase it when my primary complaint is that my eyeliner slides into my eyes? If I have an issue with the application and I don't nail it on the first try, I'm stuck with this product where I don't want it. And if it bleeds into my eyes, I've ruined my contact lenses. Plus, I don't want to have to scrub my delicate eye area to get this stuff off. Had she been listening, she probably would have been able to make a better recommendation. Better still, I would have preferred if she had just let her colleague address of my questions, because she was much more polite and empathetic. Either way, I am not pleased with the level of service I received here today. It is not at all characteristic of what I have come to expect in terms of service at this location. read more

I love Sephora! I stopped in on my lunch break as it is across the street and I really needed some foundation to touch up my make up. I was greeted when I walked in but the employee wasn't the most enthusiastic. She was just like "Hi" lol. I asked if they carried Estee Lauder and to my disappointment they no longer carry it. I decided to wander around to hopefully find something that would carry me through the end of the day. I didn't see anyone in the store aside from employees. I was surprised no one asked if I needed help or if I was looking for anything in particular. I ended up purchasing a few items and picked up a few goodies in the cashier line. The women who checked me out told me I had around 1500 points and asked if I wanted any freebies. I got a couple and was on my way. All in all, I will most likely be a regular at the Sephora. I'm not one to write bad reviews but I left the store with a sour taste in my mouth that I thought I should share my experience. Long story short, similar to some of the other reviews people have left, the sales associates were rude and unprofessional. I came in looking for a birthday gift and some makeup products I needed for myself. I wasn't greeted right away like I'm normally used to with other Sephora stores (which is totally fine - I know their associates may be preoccupied with other things). I was greeted a minute later and was asked if I need help with anything. I already knew what I needed so I replied, "No thanks, just looking". After browsing a bit I was looking at the wall of perfume bottles but was mainly looking for the mini sizes. Another sales associate came up to me asking if I needed help and I asked if there were any other mini perfumes available because they were spread out in different places along the wall. She seemed a little annoyed at my question but proceeded to lead me to a section just for the travel size perfumes. Midway of showing them to me she cut off mid-sentence to greet new guests that had just entered the store (a group of girls) and then left me hanging. This was fine and didn't bother me too much since I got what I needed. BUT THEN shortly after the group of girls had come in and started to browse there were two associates right behind me complaining about having them in the store and emphasized that they had said they were "just looking" as if they were in the store with no intention of buying anything (flashback to me saying the same thing when I first entered the store but I was actually there to buy something). I was so shocked and disgusted at the unprofessionalism of these associates that they would bad mouth customers, let alone have the nerve to do so right behind me where I could overhear. The store wasn't busy and I would think they would be happy to have customers. Thankfully I was able to end my shopping trip on a good note thanks to the kind older lady who was at the register. She was so sweet and made it a point to address me by my name (known from when I put in my rewards info). She was also super accommodating to ring me up twice - once for the birthday gift I was purchasing and once for my own personal purchases. This should be a normal thing for cashiers to do but I have a feeling had I had one of the other associates they would have made it seem like I was inconveniencing them. She's the only reason why I gave 2 stars. I get to the register and wait. This is probably one of my favorite Sephora's in the area. I came here last Saturday for Fenty makeup Mini-Makeover--I got a mini-makeover with Fenty products. My artist, Kevin, was very friendly and indulged my constant questions and requests to try additional products. He actually was scheduled to leave right after, and I appreciate how he didn't make me feel rushed at all. I like the open, clean and airy layout of this SEPHORA. Everything is organized and well-stocked--sometimes, I've been to other locations that have depleted supply. I really love the skincare section, and one of the artists took literally 15 minutes with me as I went through under eye creams, makeup removers and other needs. I also was able to park right outside-there's a parking machine and you get 1 hour. I had to go back out and add time because I was hungry and wanted to eat without moving my car. You would think a store in such a posh area would have great customer service but you'd be surprised once you enter the store that it's not quite like that Strike One: I had called earlier in the day to see if an item was in stock before I reserved it online. The employee on the phone cut me off mid sentence and said that if I see it online, that means they got it. (Understood). I politely asked if he could just check for me as I had to cancel an online order for this. He did however check which was nice but the impatience was slightly rude for no reason. Strike Two: As I was in line to check out, all the employees were fighting over the register rather than help the customers on the floor. All but one employee was kind enough to show me other options for the perfume I was picking up but even she didn't know where they kept perfume gift sets. Strike Three: Because I was doing an in store pickup, the item was already in the bag when they were checking me out. I asked to see the item before I paid (Incase it was broken, the size was wrong). She cut me off and refused to open the box. I asked her again if I could SEE the item that I had purchased before I finish the transaction and only then did she half ass opened the box and let me look at it. Every interaction was fake and rude for no reason. I've never had a problem like this at any another Sephora before. read more

I visit the Pike and Rose area on a normal basis, however I never shop at the Sephora in this location until today (7/21/24) and this will be my last. From the moment I walked in the door, not one associate greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. I walked up the middle of the store straight to the skincare aisle because I knew what I wanted. Once I chose the product I came for, I began to browse through the aisles to see what new products are in store and pick up any items that may come to mind. I am a Rouge member and spare no expense whenever I make my Sephora visits. Throughout my 45min experience, again, not one associate genuinely asked me if I needed any assistance. However, they would peep through the aisles watching me, one associate even came right next to me, meddled with the products and said absolutely nothing to me. I walked away from her because again, I was still browsing. I literally watched the other associates assist "other" patrons who entered the store, yet I was completely ignored and monitored the entire time. I browsed the entire store and no one asked me for help until I stopped near the Dior products and a young lady peered down the aisle at me and when I picked up one of the products she then jumped to asked if I needed assistance. When I first entered the store it was nearly empty so the young women had no excuse in providing me assistance. When I finally checked out, the young lady at the register asked if anyone assisted me and I politely stated "not a soul." The young lady ignored my remark and wouldn't even look me in my eye. Once we completed the transaction, I asked for the manager and was approached by Mary Mata. I explained to her my grievance, she apologized profusely and stated she didn't even see me in the store, however everyone else did. What I experienced was pure prejudice, the crazy part about this story is there was a young woman to represent every ethnicity working in that store, that is literally not an exaggeration. You would think they would provide assistance since I'm sure they would get treated similarly in certain areas. However, not one person made me feel welcomed in that store. This will be my last time patronizing this location. I would implore the management at this location to work on the customer service your associates provide because the attitudes were grotesque. The store was extremely poorly stocked. No one is around to tell you whether they have stock that isn't out. When we went to check out the three 3! people behind the counter were too busy talking to wait on us. Customer service is always amazing from the moment you walk in. Everyone is always so attentive and friendly. It has been a very very long time since I have been to any Sephora location. I was interested in trying out and maybe purchasing some products from Fenty Beauty, however I wanted to find my shade so I decided to come here. I was greeted when I came to the store, and approached by an employee once I got to the Fenty Beauty section. She helped me find my correct shade and also sent me the link to the items online when I told her I wasn't sure if I would be purchasing it at that moment. I appreciated that she did not pressure or guilt me into purchasing anything: probably my biggest pet peeve with shopping is having employees following me around the store and trying to pressure me into buying items. The employee who helped me struck a good balance between being helpful and also giving me my space. I later ended up purchasing the items that I tried in store online through Sephora's website, along with some other items. Honestly, based on that experience alone, I would definitely come back here if I wanted to try out a product or just see what's new. read more

Most uncomfortable experience ever! I'm only giving 2 for the recovery of the manager and one of the sales associates. I had been given a Sephora gift card for Christmas and was in desperate need of new foundation (wasn't sure what coverage/ shade/ luminosity etc) and some other bits and pieces. I walked into the store and was not even acknowledged by the sales associate (who was on her phone), I carry on over to the Nars and Bobbi Brown foundations but I really needed to get color matched and receive help on what type of coverage etc. I walk towards the sales associate at the front of the store who had since greeted everyone else who has walked in (but still on her phone). I say very politely (bearing in mind I have a strong British accent) "excuse me is there anyway I can be color matched?" This particular associate (who I've seen named in multiple reviews of this location) looks at me like I'm something on the bottom of her shoe and says "for what" in the most condescending tone. I state that it's for foundation, and then it begun...... The level of rudeness and treatment was unbelievable, I actually began to shake and the eye rolling, sighing and questioning me as if I was bothering her with my presence, led me to ask her if I had pissed her off somehow? She told me she was just confused as to what I wanted-- but the whole point of Sephora is to come in and be looked after in terms of finding the correct makeup etc Although I was not wearing any makeup, I am an avid makeup user every other day, I just wanted help from a "professional." After I stood my ground with her she completely changed and suddenly became friendly and really helpful...... I tried to recover the situation at the end by giving her a hug because I understand how hard retail and life in general can be and we all have bad days but I really did feel uncomfortable. I shop at Sephora frequently and do not expect that treatment. Luckily the sales associate at the checkout and manager were super apologetic and gave me some free samples. I left in a hurry as I did want mascara etc but did not feel comfortable ask after that experience. Don't bother. I've come here a couple times and the service is terrible - they don't answer questions and just stare at you. Today I walked in and asked one of the reps who was standing there playing with her hair if she could recommend a concealer and her response was "I can't do that. You have to wait for the one makeup artist that we have in store and she's currently seeing someone and there another person in line. Come back tomorrow" Um and you cant show me any products? I'm so disappointed with this location. I've only been to this store a handful of times since it first opened, and I'm always left remembering why I don't come to this location. They provide some of the most lackluster customer service I've experienced from a Sephora. I have a family member who had worked at Sephora in the past so I understand how annoying it can get in there with some customers, but they made no effort to hide their annoyance when I asked for a sample of a product. I didn't even ask for a perfume sample, which can definitely be a pain to fill those tiny little perfume sample spritzers. Even when I came to claim my free birthday gift, I was made to feel uncomfortable for inconveniencing them. This Sephora is amazing! Very clean and organized! I recently went in here to get a sample of the First Aid ultra repair cream and to get new concealer because my current type (Kat Von D lock-it, the consistency was too thick for me and I felt that it didn't stay on) was not working for me anymore. The employees were very helpful and attentive. The second I walked in, they asked if I needed help. One of the employees (I'm sorry I can't remember her name but she has a pixie-type haircut and snakebite piercings) gave me a 100% honest opinion on the First Aid cream (which I appreciate because I hate those Sephora employees who give a fake opinion and say something is amazing when it's not) She also matched my shade for the Fenty beauty concealer (which I liked/was going to buy but wasn't 100% sold on) and she could definitely tell I wasn't 100% sold on it. I told her what I didn't like about my other concealer and the Fenty one and asked she for more options. She was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what she was talking about that. She showed me other types of concealer until I was satisfied. In the end, I bought the Too Faced born this way multi-use sculpting concealer and I absolutely love it! I felt like a pampered Princess and its all thanks to the amazing MUA, Keisha who helped me yesterday. Walked into Sephora for a "Treat Yo Self" day yesterday and of course went straight to the Fenty Beauty section. WHOOOOOAAAA all the shades made me feel sooooo included. The feeling of knowing your shade is included right off the shelf is one I've never had before. Keisha came over to help me and she stayed with me until I was happily in line with a few goodies in my basket. She was so friendly, helpful and patient. Color matched me perfectly. I explained my skin situation, I have Lupus and the disease (and some times even the meds I take) have caused rashes and other problems with my skin. She took the time to ask questions and try a couple different foundations. I couldn't even believe that someone would be able to help me SO much on a Saturday when I know it would be busy. She taught me how to apply the foundation and a few other products. No pressure to buy she walked around the store with me and didn't leave my side until I was ready to check out. This. Is. Customer. Service. Magnificence!!! The store is beautiful and clean and everyone working there was friendly. The store was well stocked with products. This will now be my go to store location.
