1 star -- Severe leg injury from laser treatment, then weeks of being ignored I went in for my very first laser hair removal appointment on June 18th and left with severe burns/injuries covering both my legs (see photos). The marks were still visible almost two weeks later (i'm praying these are not permanent scars). I saw my own doctor on June 24th, who diagnosed an adverse skin reaction to the laser treatment, prescribed prescription-strength steroid cream and a prednisone taper, and explicitly advised me not to return for further treatment at this location. What made it worse was the response after: * The marks became visible the day after my appointment (Friday, June 19th). I was working all day and couldn't call, so I emailed them that same day asking if my legs -- badly swollen and itchy -- were a normal reaction. * Saturday, June 20th: I called right when they opened, since I still hadn't heard back on my email. I sent photos as requested. No callback all weekend, so I ended up at urgent care for a hydrocortisone prescription. * Monday, June 22nd: called again, was told the "lead nurse" would call me Tuesday. Also learned that the petroleum jelly they gave me at my appointment to apply afterward was actually making the injury worse (trapping heat) -- meaning their own staff handed me something that worsened my injury. * Tuesday, June 23rd: no call. Called again, was told the same thing. I also sent a second, detailed email that day explaining everything. Their site advertises a 24-hour email response; I never got one. * Wednesday, June 24th: saw my own doctor, who confirmed the severity and advised against continuing treatment. I called LaserAway to cancel my 8-session contract and was told a director would follow up in 24-48 hours. * I heard nothing. I had a beach vacation starting the very next day, and had to keep my legs covered and out of the ocean the entire trip because of this. * I followed up again after vacation (Monday, June 29th) and was told 24-72 business hours. * Got a callback the next day (Tuesday, June 30th), told -- again -- to send photos so a nurse could "look into it," with a callback promised for tomorrow (which is now today). As of writing this, every single promised callback in this process has either not happened or happened days late, so I'm not optimistic. I've since sent a formal written request for contract cancellation, a full refund, and reimbursement of my medical costs, along with my doctor's documentation. We'll see if that ever gets a response. This is a company whose entire business is aesthetics, and when they visibly injured a first-time client, the response was silence, contradictory advice, and stalling on a contract cancellation while the clock ran on my sessions. My vacation was negatively affected by their negligence. I would not recommend anyone start treatment here. read more

Hello, I am fully aware of how Xeomin works, and I understand the expected mechanism and results. However, in my case, there was absolutely no visible effect--none at all. When I called the hotline, I was advised to come into the office so that a nurse or doctor could assess the situation. But when I arrived, I was met by an unprofessional and clearly disinterested young woman. She showed no willingness to help, didn't offer me the chance to speak with a medical professional, and frankly, dismissed me without any real conversation or concern. That experience completely killed any desire I had to return to LaserAway. The customer service was absolutely terrible, and I felt humiliated after being treated that way. I had to cancel my coolsculpting program nearly a month ago, and every time I've followed up to check on the status of my refund, their customer service team tells me that they will call me back within 72 hours with an update. However, they have never called me back and my refund has still not been issued. I've called a dozen times now complaining and requesting an update, and still nothing. I have been getting treatments at this location of LaserAway since the summer of 2024 (June, I believe). I finally committed and just went ahead and bit the bullet of doing laser hair removal - which is something I've thought about off and on for a long time (I had been doing sugaring for my Brazilian for almost 10 years). I decided to get a discount/deal from one of my favorite social media influencers, and it was during a sale time when I signed up (Memorial Day), so I ended up getting a pretty good deal (in my personal opinion - your finances and peace of mind are your business!). I HATED the sales call (LOL) the woman I had on the phone was working from home (that wasn't the issue), but her pup was barking in the background, and she was just a little too excitable for my taste - like I was already signing up, you know? She didn't have to sell me! Anywho... I initially decided to do laser (6+2) for my Brazilian and my underarms (truth be told, I really actually wanted to do laser for my underarms alone - I added the Brazilian since I was already doing it and just said 'why not'? After my first appointment, I decided to add my toes to the deal (because it was like $300). NOW - LET ME SAY THIS TO YOU!!! If you are thinking about adding an additional area - MAKE SURE YOU DO IT BEFORE YOUR SECOND APPOINTMENT!!! They will tell you this at your first appointment, but TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY! Let's just say: I wasn't interested in doing any other areas, but I considered doing my legs just because I was already doing the process anyway. They quoted me somewhere around $1,500 for the legs (but I had to commit before my second appointment)... I didn't do it because I couldn't justify it (personally, I don't care much about my leg hair, and I only shave my lower legs anyway). When I inquired about possibly adding them later, the quote was closer to normal price for legs (which is around $5,000). ABSOLUTELY NOTTTTT GIRLLLLL!!! SO, if you are considering adding any additional areas, make sure you get that in before your second appointment so you don't play yourself. If you're thinking about it, just DO IT. Anywho... The only issue I have with this place is the location. It's not "inconveniently" located per se, but it's not quite convenient, either. But there are a couple of parking garages nearby, and once you know where they are, you're good to go. So my first visit, I was lowkey panicking because I was running late and I couldn't figure out the parking situation, then I got lost trying to walk to the location. I had been been a client for 2 years and have used laser hair removal and botox at multiple locations. I had a horrendous treatment experience in San Jose CA where the tech didn't leave the room for me to change, shamed me for improperly preparing and then told me I needed a partner to help me prep (I am single). I called and emailed repeatedly for help for over a month. no one returned my calls. I filed a credit card dispute since I had a package and there was no way I was going to let them treat me again. 2 hours before my Botox appt in Bethesda an appt I had for 4 months, they called to tell me they cannot treat me due to the dispute with San Jose. of course, they promised to help me with the dispute. that was a month ago and no one has returned my calls or emails. so now I'm disputing with both San Jose and Bethesda. Wait time! I had an appointment for 3:00pm and when arrived right before 3, I was told that they are running behind by 15-20 minutes. I asked them why they didn't send me a note so I didn't have to leave work early, they had no good answer!!! around 3:20 they took me to the room to get ready and I ended up waiting for another 45 minutes. Horrible customer service...rude, and not transparent about their process. They only give you pricing through a video chat to "determine" your needs by a "professional"... not in person. When I explained that would not work for me.... (Like how are you going to see my fine lines and pores through a video chat lol )... She got super upset and went off on me because I told her that it didn't work for me, I rather have someone in person look at me and determine my needs. SHE got SO UPSET! It was bad. She raised her voice and said they are a multi million dollar company, this is how they do it .... to go somewhere else! Yikes .... if this is trying to get you as a client, can't imagine how they act once they have your money. This person should not be in sales. I've made appointments twice, the first time Pam canceled my appointment without notification. She cancelled it the day of. The second time, I joined the zoom call and waited for the specialist to join, No one joined - a complete waste of my time. I love this place and the staff! I have been using them for 8 months now and I go once a month. The staff have always been super friendly and attentive. They have always made me feel welcomed and comfortable. They have a ton of different offers and services. My appointments have also always been fast and on time. Went for an underarm treatment couple months ago and it workout amazing. Was tired of razors and all I can say this was definitely the best decision I ever made.
