I ordered (order #639323004107) something from their website for the first (and LAST) time, the experience was unpleasant from start to finish, I had a problem with the shipping address, no one helped me. I left it at that. Then 1 of the items I ordered came incomplete, I PAID FOR 1 SET of 2 and only 1 item arrived (the box was open and looked battered). I write to them for help and they told me that they couldn't do anything to help me or give me a refund because I sent my order to a mailbox/P.O. box (because I'm an international customer). What a disappointment, I thought Sephora was better and not just thieves.

Dropped by the new (for me) Sephora in the Times Square area with stairs leading to the basement. I spent most of my time browsing & trying on the Dior products - my favorite ones !!!! The major reason for giving 2 stars is the attitude & behavior of the employee at the check out. I try to be neither subjective nor too generous unreasonably, but this time, I am giving 2 stars. This was during the Coronavirus, but before the state had issued the state of emergency nor the curfew of 3/16/2020. The employee at the checkout charged me for the 2 Dior lipsticks I had purchased, and did not bother to put them in the bag nor did she ask whether I wanted them bagged. She dumped the products in front of me. No greeting whatsoever. I did not want to make a fuss, but was on the verge of returning the 2 lipsticks right then. Will never be buying from this store.

This Sephora is pretty new. They relocated from across the way. I cannot remember if it says this is the largest Sephora in America or the world. Either way, it did not seem like the largest one I have been in. The store feels choppy. The layout is sort of boxy and made it hard for me to find what I was looking for. No employee greeted me as they do in their Florida stores relentlessly. I couldn't find anyone to ask a question since they were already working with a customer. They did seem to have some different products I had never seen before. It is fun to browse but seems like a headache to try and get assistance if you need it. I don't love this location but it is okay. It sure is convenient right on Broadway in Times Square.

Actually came here on purpose as I was in need of mascara and I tried a travel size one of they're Real by Benefit from my Sephora store in Aventura. Once inside the ladies directed you to the escalator down that is where the actual store is in a basement. There was a big promotion and line for a new fragrance Marc Jacobs Daisy eau so sweet. So they were making cotton candy. So naturally I got on line. Nice touch as I ate the cotton candy I hunted out the mascara. If you know Sephora know one helps you. After I finally got someones attention first I was directed to the wrong thing an associate told me they didn't have it and pawned me off on a different brand. So finally someone else got me to where I wanted to go. Frustrated as usual by Sephora I waited to check out. The girl at the register Sonage was in her name tag. I asked her to get me the new fragrance in a stick. Well don't faint I actually got helped thus the 4 star review. Also by the time I am now writing this review I am in need of a full bottle so guess what I will order online! If it wasn't for this location I wouldn't have found a new fragrance I love. Thank you

Let me just say first and foremost, they absolutely brought in the energy, and not only that but everybody who came into the store was carefully attended to as well. I had SUCHH a great time, I felt like I was creating something with my friends. Otso and a girl who I am SO SAD I don't remember her name! (I hope the shop owner can please credit her in a reply!) I do in fact remember she is from Texas, and she was an absolute ANGEL! Specifically, she helped me with my Mothers perfume and being that we have opposing tastes, she was absolutely on par with helping me choose the correct layering fragrance oil. Extraordinarily knowledgeable, able to curate something that I truly would've never thought of myself. Thank you for the conversation, patience, suggestions, and just being a true human soul. I hope she gets to see this, let me tell you, it was a complete success and she LOVES IT! (We named the fragrance Embalming Fluid!) Otso, you are so kind and funny! If I remember correctly, you've been there for a while but you clearly train second to none! Thank you so much and I will be back!

This is more of a 3.5 star review…read more It was one of my best friend's first time in NYC and I thought how fun will it be to create our own fragrances? It's not like we have this in our hometown. Making a reservation is available but I figured we'd be okay as walk-ins especially on a weekday. Upon walking in, we were greeted and felt welcome. Our 'scent specialist' led us to the wall where there's about 11 base scents to smell and pick one that suits our liking. My friend EASILY was able to choose quite a few that she loved. I, however, struggled. Nothing stood out to me. It was either way too light where I can't smell it or way too strong and masculine. I love light florals, beachy, clean/fresh and none of the base scents were any of that. In the end, I settled for "Rae" (smells mainly citrus?) as my base while my friend choose "Reed." After choosing our base, our scent specialist started adding different drops of other scents they believe you'll like on top of your base scent. They combined plenty of different options (like over five different combos). I ended up choosing a mix of hydrangea, geranium and lilac. Sounds good to me...hey, remember I like fresh, light florals. Sadly, even with all the scents of florals mixed in my finished bottle, I ended up only mainly smelling the citrus from my base scent. This was a cool experience but left disappointed. You're essentially mixing pre-designed perfumes/scents together to make "your" blend, you're not creating a perfume totally from scratch. I've read some reviews about weak staying power. I also have a friend who made her own bottle before and also said the same thing. However, I can smell my freakin "Rae" headache inducing scent HOURSSSS later. Go figure, right? The total was about $93 and that's tax included for a 1.7 fl oz. bottle.

A luxurious taste of the Middle East right in the smacking center of Times Square. If you know…read moreanything about the Middle Eastern culture you will know that 1. Straight A's in life are the only option and 2.Everything smells like oud. This perfumery house reflects both statements. If you don't know what oud is, or what it smells like, I recommend you don't buy anything without testing it first. Oud resin is the result of a fungus that infects agar wood. The literal translation of "oud" is wood and it almost smells animalic, definitely an acquired taste. This shop pays a beautiful homage to everything oud, the fragances and their individual presentations are fricken exceptional. Prices range from just under $100 til about shy of $300 for a 75 ml bottle. The amount of detail that goes into developing each fragrance and its own individual gorgeous packaging alone is an art in itself. When I walked in I was greeted by a nice gentleman who took his time to explain the personality and uniqueness of each fragrance. I've had the opportunity to experience the Guerlain fragrance boutique on Champs Elysses, but this shop blew it out of the water. Excellent customer service and a marvelous learning experience. They have something for everyone, whether your're just starting to venture out in the perfume world or you're an avid niche fragrance collector like myself. Some fragrances lean more oriental and others are a nice compromise between West and Eastern culture. I suggest you pay them a visit, even if you're not planning to purchase anything that day.
