A luxurious taste of the Middle East right in the smacking center of Times Square. If you know anything about the Middle Eastern culture you will know that 1. Straight A's in life are the only option and 2.Everything smells like oud. This perfumery house reflects both statements. If you don't know what oud is, or what it smells like, I recommend you don't buy anything without testing it first. Oud resin is the result of a fungus that infects agar wood. The literal translation of "oud" is wood and it almost smells animalic, definitely an acquired taste. This shop pays a beautiful homage to everything oud, the fragances and their individual presentations are fricken exceptional. Prices range from just under $100 til about shy of $300 for a 75 ml bottle. The amount of detail that goes into developing each fragrance and its own individual gorgeous packaging alone is an art in itself. When I walked in I was greeted by a nice gentleman who took his time to explain the personality and uniqueness of each fragrance. I've had the opportunity to experience the Guerlain fragrance boutique on Champs Elysses, but this shop blew it out of the water. Excellent customer service and a marvelous learning experience. They have something for everyone, whether your're just starting to venture out in the perfume world or you're an avid niche fragrance collector like myself. Some fragrances lean more oriental and others are a nice compromise between West and Eastern culture. I suggest you pay them a visit, even if you're not planning to purchase anything that day. read more

I bought Sultani from Arabianoud.usa online and the quality is poor and not the same as the store, smell will go away after two hours, not as they descried online, I tried to retuen or exchange and they refuse. they have strickt role, no cutomer service. I will not recommend buying from thier online store. read more

Not the same prices as the US (or anywhere for that matter) , no return policy, no samples, you're not allowed to touch anythingggg only they can, followed at all times, and unsolicited advice/assumptions. Blink and you'll miss this tiny but elegant fragrance shop in the middle of Times Square. This shop sells arabian oud which is an alcohol free perfume that tends to last a looong amount of time. The woman who assisted me was super helpful and let me try out over 15 of their fragrances. There are men, women, and unisex scents and the price ranges from $80 - $200ish. Everything is made and packaged in Saudi Arabia. They also sell concentrated oils that are sold by millimeter and were on the pricey side, but they smelled amazing. They had a 15% off sale for some of their products which I did not expect. I've had my 'oud' for over 5 months and am really happy with my purchase. A little goes a long way and it lasts about 3-4 days after I spray it on. Definitely check this place out if you find yourself in Times Square! read more

Arabian Oud is downright life changing. I typically like Guerlain fragrances which smell good but really don't last long. Arabian Oud fragrances last SO much longer than western ones (so they're well worth the splurge). First time I went there I purchased Resala and Rosewood. Went back a month later and picked up Aseel Special Edition. They have western leaning fragrances if you don't feel like leaving your comfort zone, but they also have wonderful oriental fragrances that smell nothing like anything western you've ever experienced. My advice is to visit the shop when you have some time on your hands so you can really experience it. Smell a number of different fragrances and when you find one or two you like, try them on your skin and hang around for a bit to see how they develop. The staff are as helpful as possible and really know their stuff and know how to recommend things you'll love. The manager Hassan and the other staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great time exploring the different offerings. This isn't just a shop to visit, it's a shop to experience! read more

The store is beautiful and takes you to the Middle East with its ambience. The perfumes are very nice and beautifully displayed, quite pricey and some last more than others. The first thing I disliked is the fact that you can't spray the perfumes by yourself and constantly had to be followed by an employee. This is super annoying, I don't need someone behind me for 20-30 min while I am trying to choose something. The store is very small and I felt like I am under constant watch. The costumer service also needs big improvement. From the moment I stepped in one of the female associates was absolutely unbearable. She had very passive - aggressive tone. Her attitude was more nagging than helping. She was borderline rude and condescending not only to me, but to few other costumers in the store. Many years ago, I was walking around San Francisco and happened upon a small Middle Eastern store, the shopkeepers newly arrived from someplace I can't recall, maybe Syria. I felt that I had entered another time and place as the woman in hijab, long dress and gloves looked at me in shock as I walked inside. Her young boy came running out from behind the counter gleefully staring at my bare arms and uncovered hair and his father put his hand over the boys eyes and steered him to the back of the store. The woman, her beautiful heart showing plainly in her open face, walked up to me and gently took me by the arm and led me through their small shop. "This is good, try this" handing me some pressed apricot to sample. "Here, you will like these" as she displayed some little blue and white beads. We, two very different people, became like friends, and I frequented the store often. The day before I left, she handed me a little gift of perfume oil in a tiny gold leafed bottle. About a year later, after 9/11, there were stories from Brooklyn of several incidents of hatred towards fellow New Yorkers who had come here in refuge, only asking to be a part of our city. In cross country news I heard of an disturbance down the hill from the store, I was afraid for my friend, surely my beautiful San Francisco would not turn ugly! I called her long distance: "Just to be safe, maybe you should close your shop today". "What am I going to do" she said sadly "There is no place for us to go". My heart hurt for them. Gladly, nothing unpleasant happened, and over time I lost contact with the family. I didn't go back to SF for another ten years, and when I did the little shop was gone. I used my perfume very sparingly, and eventually it was gone like the store, never to return. One day walking along Broadway, I entered Arabian Oud on a whim, and was curious to smell the different scents. Turkish rose, black rose, yellow rose, many ouds...The store is of course modern, clerks hailing from various Middle Eastern and North African places dressed in business attire, showcasing exotic glass bottles of the latest creations from SA and beyond...the clerk carefully removed the stoppers of delicate painted bottles of perfume oil and proffered each towards me to inhale, in between sniffs of coffee beans. Exquisite perfume after perfume, each more heady than than the last, I finally became overwhelmed and had to stop sampling. "One more, this is like the oil they rub on the walls around [the holy cube]" the clerk presented a bottle of Black Stone and gently waved it in front of my nose. I immediately recalled this exact scent. Twenty years later I still recognized the oil my friend gave to me! I was so delighted! I would never have imagined that I could find this perfume again! The heavenly perfume oil reminded of my friend that I had forgotten. It reminded me that although religions and cultures and governments differ, and can be at odds with each other (sometimes extremely and dehumanizingly so), the people are what are most important, always. Governments and their news outlets will try to inflame opinions, to scare, to threaten, to create conflict where there is none. But people are the same everywhere, our nature is to link hands across divides, we want to understand, to be friends. We want to share our cultures and the things we find special. Our rich multiculturalism is one of the things that I love about New York City, and I try to remember this whenever I start to tire of the city life. read more

I am really displeased with my experience. I bought a perfume and I tried returning it less than 24 hrs (still sealed in its original package) but i was unable to. I sprayed the tester the day I bought the perfume but was displeased the next day cause its not a long lasting smell. I tried to explain but nothing could be done.$260 has gone down the drain. I was shocked ( and kinda happy!) when I saw this place in the heart of time square for many reasons. This is a very expensive incense from the heart of the Arabian dessert! What is it doing here in time square? :) what I mean is, this culture is not really into expensive incense or perfumes. Some of people here are tho. But generally speaking! So who is gonna buy a piece of wood for +$400? That's why I was shocked. What about the other part of my reaction( happy)? I was happy because it is easier now for Arab people who live in NYC or US in general to order and buy their favorite incense right away when they want it instead of ordering it from their home land and it takes a long time to arrive. I am beyond exited that Arabian Oud FINALLY opened up in the US. I am a long time customer of the store in London and Dubai. We love buying form Ahmed in the Oxford street location in London. My husband and I fell in love with the store and the Oils, OUD and Ahmed's FANTASTIC customer service. When we would run low, we would call Ahmed to place our order and he sends them to us.
