It was fun trying the different skincare products. They have sinks set up so you can wash your face with their cleanser and try the products. When you order products they arrive on a conveyor belt. I tried the cleanser and moisturizer, both were gentle, no irritation to my face. read more

First time stopping in at a Glossier. Black Friday sales caused lines on the street. The line staff did a great job communicating the sales, process, and fun events of the day. Crane machine coins if customers spent a certain amount to win additional free gifts. Balm dotcoms had promotional charms available. New seasonal scents were released. The whole floor were testers and multiple stations set up to handle the volume. The POS was a little odd. I had about 10 staff approach me and ask if I was ready to check out while I was still testing products. They carry tablets around to check customers out. At that point the order is sent to the back and you go into a waiting bay to pick up a bag with your name on it. From there we went to another section of the store to have charms put on the dotcoms. Prices are reasonable for the products. Cute store and will stop again. read more

They also had great incentives that sadly totally incentivized us (spend a certain amount to get 2 tickets to the claw machine - we each won two balm dot coms), and spend over $100 to get a thick, nice quality tote you can customize with iron-on appliqué letters. Went to the pop up in Brooklyn this past weekend and what a cute experience from the DJ and puffy clouds in the entrance to the photobooth and cotton candy. It was a fun start to the weekend. Always loved to try their newest makeup or skincare products and see if they're suitable for my combo skin type. They've a variety of foundation, lippie, and eyeshadow shades for all to test out and swatch on their face and/or hands. The whole environment is pink themed with a pretty floral mural saying "You Look Good" plus a wooden bench that's supposed to resemble a NYC subway station. But, of course it's 5X cleaner and brighter as a photo booth in the back of the store. I think that's the highlight and main attraction of Glossier. Flagship store in SoHo with ability to color match and test out all their products. Also a fun area for selfies. Not product related but store related. Went to go use the bathroom and even though the door was locked, someone was still able to get through the door. The workers were aware of the bathroom situation and had no courtesy to leave a sign as a warning. All I got was a sheepish apology and a, "yeah someone needs to guard the door" Okay... but what if you didn't come into the store with anyone?? And how would I have known that someone needs to guard the door if there's no sign... Unprofessional and disgusting. My privacy was invaded when this was completely avoidable. read more

Stopped by yesterday to see the new location and I loved it just like I loved the first one! Everything is set up beautifully, the staff is super friendly and helpful. A lot of products are sold out but the layout of the place makes you feel as though the place is a museum because of how cute everything is. Workers will ignore you, used product testers grow nasty very quickly, and it's overall a faulty design for a store. If there are more than three people inside, someone will be bumping your shoulder and reaching across you and disrespecting your space. You will wait behind them for about fifteen minutes before you can ORDER your product with one of two workers on an iPad then wait for it. Let me at least order it myself once I'm in inside, the entire experience is so painful and feels like a gimmick. read more

This is the second Glossier store I have been to and I have loved my experience here as I did the first!From the sustainable products to the cute packing and overall pink aesthetic of the store, what is there not to love! The staff was very nice and helpful. I noticed a long line in front of the store, but one of the employees explained it was a line for Glossier pink sorbet in celebration of the new shades in their cloud paint. Decided to pass on that because of the long line. While there I decided to purchase the Glossier you roll on perfume, the Seattle water bottle, and the birthday cake balm dot com. I'm a huge fan of glossier products and have been expanding my collection for years now (I have the milk jelly cleanser, cloud paint, balm dot com, generation G, futuredew, and exfoliating solution), so when I moved to NYC I made it a point to visit the store. It's fun and very interactive, meaning you can try on all their products using one-time-use disposable brushes and overall make a fun experience out of it. Their products aren't too expensive and have good quality, and I like that they're cruelty free too. I would rate their products 5 stars but this store itself 4 stars because both times I went it was pretty crowded (and once was on a weekday) and when I bought the generation G Suit lip color in store, the applicator/wand was bent. I only found out when I opened the product at home and will keep it regardless, but it was disappointing nonetheless. Notably, the store in soho is in a fun shopping area so it's nice to make a half day out of it and wander around the area with friends or family too. read more
