After coming my first time, I bought a student package that was very reasonably priced $75 for 3 times. Afterwards, I got the regular customer package with 10 times for a higher cost. The facial was also tailored to my skin condition which was the acne one with micro current and a cooling mask. In addition, they have a bunch of add-on treatments for an additional price. My favorite is definitely the micro dermabrasion which feels like all the dirty stuff on my face is sucked away. It used to be $20 when I first came and now it is $25. I've tried the oxygen treatment before but did not like it because I have anxiety and difficulty breathing. The place is kept very clean and I feel very safe with the double doors since the inside one is locked and you have to get buzzed in. They also have a big and clean restroom. The only downside for me is the distance since it is a bit out of the way from my house. I usually have to take two buses to get here and they're located right on the Q58 line! As for the facial, it is kind of a short duration which is good if you're in a rush and you want to know exactly how long it will be - 1 hour 30 min! Included is a nice face and upper shoulder/back massage and eyebrow cleaning. The actual whitehead/blackhead extraction is kept short and sweet although each one is quite painful with the tool. My favorite parts are the micro dermabrasion, micro current, and the cooling mask in the end! They use a new filter for each client for the micro dermabrasion and you can see all the dead skin that gets sucked away. The micro current is a light electrical therapy that's supposed to close the pores and stimulate collagen production and a cooling gel is applied along with it. The cooling mask is a perfect way to end the facial while you get to nap for about 15 minutes. It's been a minute since I came back since I've been away for school and I'm glad I did sooner than later because they will be terminating all package deals by October 15, 2025!

I am a definite satisfied customer who will continue this regimen, until I am told it's no longer needed. I never had an issue with breakouts/ acne in my adolescent years. In May '14, I started to develop adult acne, which was so depressing. I attempted to get extractions and facials, but nothing was working. My girlfriend had been going to Piel for a few months and her skin was/ still is glowing! So I gave it a shot at the end of August '14 and it's the best thing I've done for my skin. You have to remember to be patient and stick with the regimen. There was a point where I became frustrated because I wanted quicker results. I had to remember it does not happen instantly. So, I remained patient and by January '15 (5 months later) my skin was glowing and the breakouts were pretty much non-existent! My friends have begun to ask what I do to keep my skin look so flawless. I am forever thankful for Piel's staff and regimen. Thank you, thank you!!! A few recommendations: Staff: I recommend Marcia. She has been such a sweet and great technician! (Shirley, the owner, is also just as sweet. The entire staff is thorough and educates you on your skin.) Routine: Stick with it and be patient!

Crystal used to be my absolute favorite Korean spa. it was…read moremy haven until yesterday. After some recent stress with my husband suffering a heart attack I took some time to go and do what I do to make me feel amazing after a huge ordeal. I booked the same scrub and massage and upgraded to the more expensive milk scrub. Right from the moment I met the girl I could tell she didn't know what she was doing and I won't bore you but it was so unrelaxing and she actually left the majority of the process out. I have always tolerated the language barrier and frankly the rudness from the front desk and basically any one there as I am not Korean but it was always so awesome that I put up with the unfriendliness. I told the girl many times this treatment is not the same and not right but she just giggled. The 3 staff at the front desk didn't care either and when I asked for a refund of that particular service or even partial they said only the manager could do this. I left my number and of course no call from the manager. Sadly these places don't realize what a great customer is and how many people I have sent to them. I will find another place as there are many other great ones I just used to like crystal because of the authenticity the food and other services but when they don't value you and the service becomes rubbish then its time to call it quits. When the manager doesn't care in an establishment there is no hope!.

I am a long standing customer of this business. COVID-19…read moreinterrupted my service. However, by the grace of God, they reopened and I returned to be serviced. Today, after my facial, I walked to Macy's in Queens Center mall. In Macy's I am at the cash register when the check out staff said, "What's the name of the fragrance you're wearing, it smells good?" I answered, "You are smelling the fragrance of the FACIAL I just had." Of course, I was very descriptive about the facial and left her with name and address of the business and she said she will remember because "Happy" is a name she won't forget!

I'm really disappointed with my experience. I came for a 90 minute facial with microdermabrasion …read more I had 1 minute of microdermabrasion and about 20 minutes of facial. The rest was just massage, massage and more massage...and seaweed mask for an additional $10 which I regretted coz I don't really like it. That killed the time since it was for about 20 minutes. And then it's over! I was expecting since the review say they were good, to have my Whiteheads extracted and a clean face after. When I came home, I could still feel the spots that needed to be cleaned. Nothing was done with them...i spent money for nothing and now I've to have another facial again next week to have my problems addressed. I'll just go back to my old facial spa place in flushing. The distance is a little off, but I get my money's worth there.

This review and rating pertain exclusively to Dr. Charles Kwak. I strongly advise against…read morescheduling an appointment with this particular doctor. I visited Dr. Kwak on July 13, 2024, at the Fordham location. I am aware that Dr. Kwak also works out of the Queens Elmhurst location. So this is to warn other patients who may be scheduling with him at this location. When Dr. Kwak entered the room, he immediately began discussing my previous visit and medications with his assistant, without first addressing the reason for my current visit. It was evident that he had not reviewed the notes taken by the assistant upon my arrival, as my current visit was unrelated to my previous one. I had to tell Dr. Kwak three times that I was there for a new, unrelated issue. Despite this, he quickly and dismissively asked to see my skin and began prescribing medications without investigating the cause of my skin reaction or considering my recent allergic reaction and complex medical history, which the assistant had carefully documented. As he rushed out, I remembered that he had not examined my face, where I had another issue, because I was wearing a mask. The assistants tried to inform him, but I heard him dismiss them in the hallway, falsely claiming he had seen my face. When I confronted him, he attempted to gaslight me, insisting I had pulled my mask down, which I had not. He once again, started suggesting a face wash without any further investigation or questions. The stressed and exasperated looks on the staff's faces reflected my own frustration with this doctor. While I sat in the room, I could hear Dr. Kwak loudly speaking to other patients, prescribing medications without listening to their concerns and cutting them off mid-sentence, just as he had done with me and the staff. The staff at this location have been wonderful, and my experience with Dr. Curtis Chen was excellent. However, my encounter with Dr. Kwak was a stark contrast. Despite his impressive credentials and advocacy claims on the website, his behavior was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. If he cannot provide compassionate and attentive care to the underserved population, he should consider retirement. The people of the Bronx deserve better than the neglect and harm caused by doctors like him. He also has several other negative one star reviews stating they had a similar experience to mine here: https://www.healthgrades.com/physician/dr-charles-kwak-29hnm

But they never got the approval for it and then never followed up with me or with an appeal; so that left me a negative experience. It seems they're less competent than their flushing main office. 2ndly, I give my medications and what I stopped taking wasn't removed so the doctor had to do the job all over again. 3rdly, I was told that what I wouldn't be able to remember would be written down and for me not to worry. But what I did get was a couple of business cards with the name of the rx creams. The explanation and caution that was verbally communicated was not written nor provided like I was assured by Stacy Li. This was my biggest dismay. I have a lot of prescriptions and some require a two part mixture and others can't be used long term. All of that information I needed was not given to me in writing as promised. Competence and following through has been their biggest issue in my experiences.
