I stopped by this Sephora since I was in the area. My dog just died and I thought that buying new makeup would make me feel better. I haven't bought makeup in years. I walked in and at least 5 ladies helped me immediately and were so nice. I don't remember all their names but Alyssa helped me check out and she suggested other products for me as well. I went home and tried them on, and they all were as great as was mentioned. Normally in these stores I get a rude vibe, but everyone was so nice at this location. Will definitely be going to this Sephora more often. :) read more

Placed my first online curbside order during the Sephora brand sale. Good idea because the checkout line was super long! At this location, there were not curbside parking spots, but after circling the parking lot one time, I was able to get a spot. I ran in and the online pickup area is right at thr front. Can't shop in peace here, and the sales associates need training on not approaching customers every 20 seconds, when I politely asked one to stop asking me, they responded that it's their job. Paid a visit here to help shop while I assisted with the search for new make up selections and the artist supply replenishment, while taking pics for reviews. However after being in this particular location for about 30 to 40 mins , I was approached and asked, by male worker being asked not to use my phone for photography in the store. I only found issue with this, because there are no signs that I saw posted. Stating no photograph or using of phones in the store. I do understand you can create policy as you wish, however why not post is, to not take away from the shopping experience as well. I'm sure you know Sephora so I don't need to go in depth of what they sell. I find myself at one of their locations a few times a year. They have a rewards system, so be sure to sign up. And when purchasing - always ask for samples! Most of the locations in central houston are in busy areas with annoying parking. This location is not far from the Galleria and River Oaks. You'll find it by the Apple store and Crate and Barrel (same side of the street). Peak parking times can vary. The shopping center can be extremely busy or it can be great depending on the day and the time of day. There are two other "relatively" close location if they are out of what you are looking for- Rice Village and The Galleria. read more

Hor-ri-ble! DO NOT go here for make-up services! My experience was so bad I asked that the 60 minute service I had reserved by paying a deposit be stopped within the first 15 minutes. Oh, and the service was 15 minutes late. Those first 15 minutes of the actual service was spent looking for products, moisturizing, then the eyebrow debacle! They could not have looked worse which was the straw that broke this camel's back. This, even after an attempt by a senior (I assume) associate to correct my brow fill-in. No waxing, just a simple fill-in - meaning I already have decent brows!!! This destroyed my confidence in the ability of these technicians- because I don't feel comfortable calling them artists. My actual associate with whom my appointment was with was very nice. However, when I asked prior to leaving with my face looking worse than when I came in, if I could get lashes, she went to look for a set but returned stating: 1. There were no short black lashes in the store. 2. Her nails were too long to apply them (the ones she returned with) and she would have to see "if" she could get someone else to apply them. I was certainly not willing to undergo another associate like the one who stepped in to assist with my brows earlier. I simply did not have time for her to administer another tutorial during my service, nor was I going to endure her very callous attitude. I can forgive the attempt but never the POOR customer service and overall lack of professionalism. Oh, did I mention I was STILL CHARGED FOR THE FULL SERVICE after only being there for a botched 15 minutes out of the 60 minutes for which I paid!!! Keep that Sephora! I have and will be around a lot longer than you, God willing! My Breast Cancer Awareness Month will not be tainted as a Survivor because of this small lapse in customer service. read more

My recent trip to Sephora pretty much ensures that I will never shop here again. Monday afternoon, around 2pm, I popped in to look for a specific product. I needed assistance to be sure I got the right color because my "color number" somehow disappeared from the Sephora website. (This was actually a handy feature, so I am disppointed that it is gone). Anyway, I walked in and received a half-hearted greeeting from the gaggle of staffers clustered at the front. No one asked if I needed anything, so I proceeded to inspect the product I was looking for. Minutes passed and no offer of help. In fact, none of the staffers even walked by. They were still talking and laughing in a group up front. Finally I started looking for someone to help me but I was not about to go interrupt that group. Didn't find anyone, so I left. Oh, and there was only one other shopper in the store when I was there. The item I was looking for? Bought it online, directly from the brand's website, after a brief video conversation with a helpful makeup artist. read more

There's a new standalone Sephora, and I'm in love! The Rice Village location is my go-to store, but they didn't have my foundation in stock when I stopped in. One of the employees mentioned this store, and I just HAD to see it, haha. I'm so glad that I did! They carry a few brands that the Rice Village store doesn't, and the layout here is easier to understand than RV. One of the managers, Austin, was great about helping me with my foundation search, even though I got to the store just as they were about to close. My search was a bust (the company has made some new changes, so my foundation is being discontinued. Booo.) But this is my mothership. I'll definitely be back! read more

Just my tip of advice. Be sure you know what your customers are asking for before you say yes and make them drive 40 minutes for nothing. read more

I'm not new to makeup or Sephora and being treated as if I do not belong is unacceptable. The young blonde was incredibly rude and gave me so much attitude. I asked for assistance in finding a new item and she tells me you don't have it in stock. I say, you do, I checked online. When she comes back from retrieving it, she snarls, "if it's new, we don't have it on the floor yet." Not my problem. I'm paying and you're working retail. Be nice. Do good. I visited this Sephora this past Saturday and it was fantastic - the best customer service experience that I've had in a long time. The store was well staffed and well stocked. I was helped right away, the people I worked with were kind and patient, and I came away with a better solution than I expected. This is a nice newer store. I have been shopping at Sephora for my makeup and perfume for 20 years in different cities. This one has slightly nicer and more helpful staff than many others. They didn't have one of the lipsticks I was looking for but that's to be expected every now and then. read more

Just stopped into this location for the first time, to replenish skin care products. From the time I walked through the door, until walking out, my experience was a fabulous one. I was greeted & asked if I needed any assistance, by the person staffing the entrance, and then several several as I made my way around the store. Unlike most places we go to these days, they had everything I was looking in stock. Other elements all too often lacking, the store was well kept & organized. I came here with low confidence after looking all day for a fragrance sampler for some family members. I wasn't dressed to impressed or anything, lowkey dressed bummy, but that didn't matter to these employees. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by multiple employees with a smile and asked If I needed help, showed them a picture of what I needed and I was lead straight to what I needed. In and out in under 5 minutes, and even the cashier was patient with me as I needed to split transactions. I feel other stores, even beyond Sephora, should take tips from this location. The employees are nice but if you have a problem, there is poor customer service. I know the economy is not the best, so it's possible upper management has become stricter with their policies to save money- however, they're forgetting to take individual cases into consideration. This leads to poor reviews, dissatisfaction, and ultimately even more financial losses. So here's my story- I came here before my wedding to buy makeup. There were a couple good products that were recommended to me but they gave me the wrong shade of powder foundation when they handed me the product for purchase. They also didn't match me well for my concealer. I did like a couple products they recommended. When I came back to return the foundation and concealer, I was 2 days over the 30 day refund policy. I understand this policy, but this is their fault- they handed me the wrong shade upon purchase! And, I literally just got married, started a new job etc, so I couldn't get there in time. I also explained to the manager that THEY gave me the wrong shade so this wasn't even my fault. But they are very strict with their policy and could only give me store credit. I also did not receive a sincere apology from anyone in the store. I do not plan to return to this Sephora ever again as they have poor customer service and mediocre color matching. read more

My sister and I were just in today and had the best customer service. I wish I could remember the associates name but she was a beautiful African woman and her name starts with an A. She was so patient with my sister and I and answered all of our questions ( we had a lot). She showed us the right products for our concerns, showed us how to apply it, and found perfect shades for us. We both ended up getting the ysl touché eclat & ysl all hours concealer that she recommended. And as she said, we looked "snatched" the reason for the 3 stars is from previous visits. I live right next door so I'm at Sephora almost every week. Another time I went in for a visit and a sales associate I want to say his name was joe (thin Hispanic male) helped me pick out a pat mcgrath foundation and I loved it and bought it. I recommended it to my friend and told her to go in and ask for him since he helped me. I went in another time and saw him and asked for his name because I wanted to make sure I gave my friend the right sales associate. He completely ignored me and walked away. I was trying to help him out so I didn't appreciate that, he walked around the store many times after and saw me but never acknowledged me. read more

I like the store and it's interior is lighter than the mall Sephoras. The location is easy to access and generally well stocked compared to other Houston locations. The music is super loud when I'm just trying to stock up makeup or skincare. I usually get asked by about six people if I need help repeatedly. It's a bit overkill and comes across as disingenuous. I think their staff might be better used at the register to reduce the check out line or stocking the shelves with product that are boxed up in the back. Many time products are shown in stock on the app and not available in the store just yet. Seems to be a disconnect and not just at this location. Also their perfume selection is severely lacking with stock and they very rarely have many options for travel perfume sizes. If you ask for a sample they claim COVID policy is preventing them from offering them which at this point seems pretty dated and lazy. Their staff is allowed to help people shade match but not fill a sample vial? Policy does not make much sense. read more
