In all the years that I've lived in Houston, my attempts to find Bobni Boss have been spare to none, but Beauty Love- you outdone yourself! There were plenty of selections to choose from at BL (the crochet and weaving hair), but surpringly, they did not carry much pf a selection of freetress hair. I specifially asked for a newer hair that I started using and was told they did not carry it--yet! Hopefully they scope out the competition's shelves and find out what customers want. In the meantime, you have to stop by this beautiful store!!! White decor and bright lights surround the products like its on a runway. The organization of the store is top notch with signs above each aisle to indicate the product sold there. Additionally, lots of grand opening specials for some super savings. Stop by and give it a try if you love Beauty!

Trendsetters has an impressive selection, and SOME scents are less than buying online or in a…read moredepartment store... but definitely not all. First off, this is the first time I'd been to a perfume shop on Harwin. I usually buy online or at a department store, but I'd heard great things about Trendsetters' prices. One half of the store is women's scents, the other side men's scents, and the center is mostly Arabic fragrances. The organization of the store is a bit chaotic, but I didn't mind since the prices seemed pretty good. I will say that their staff was kind and helpful when it came to suggesting scents. They led me to the Lattafa section, and I got to smell everything without any pressure to buy. Another win. I ended up purchasing a 3.4 oz bottle of Lattafa Yara Candy for about $35. When I got home, my spidey senses tingled... and after a quick search, I found that the same scent in the same size is about $25 on Amazon (regular price). And if you're wondering why Trendsetters gets a 4.9 star rating on Google, that's because if you give them a Google review before checking out, you get one extremely budget scent for free. Trendsetters is fine if you just want to smell scents that you can't find in local stores, but make sure to do your research before you waste money here.

The unique store name coincides with the type of products you can expect to find here. From earrings, to clothes, to incense, to salt combs, to umbrellas and even kitchen ware! I came in here with a gift card and was pleasantly surprised with the plethora of items offered. I ended up with a super cool decorative plate that has Texas and various Texas items on it for $25 (it looked ceramic from the front but actually made from material similar, but much much sturdier, than a paper plate), a pair of earrings (in the shape of Texas and the Texas State Bird), and a little postcard. If you're walking by, it would be worth your while to check this place out if you're looking for a gift - but the prices are a bit on the higher end, since these items look more handmade than mass produced.

It took smelling my way through every designer fragrance at the department stores to remind me that I just don't want to smell like everyone else. Social media did was social media does -- it influenced me. I found this lovely fragrance shop through a TikTok post. The store feels moody, exclusive, and rich. The walls are lined from top to bottom with every niche fragrance you've ever dreamt of sniffing. They don't have many employees, but the one who helped me was clearly driven by passion for fragrance... NOT commission! My only wish is that they had more staff to assist so their team wouldn't be so overloaded. If you crave the weird, the unique, the niche, Baroque & Bloom will be your happy place too.
