I had an appointment today at 1 pm for an ultimate glam which takes 90 minutes. The lady (Samantha F) only worked on my face for 60 minutes but charged me for the ultimate glam price. I asked her why am I being charged when she only worked on my face for 60 minutes. She said she did a lot of work on my eyes (she didn't, I already had eyelash extensions and she didn't apply eyeliner on the bottom like I asked.) She could have spent 30 minutes prepping my face but it was kinda like brush here brush there. Pro tip: do not ever get an ultimate glam from Sephora. When I got in the store, nobody was available to me help me because they were taking selfies. This is an excellent Sephora makeup store which Barbie loves, and it's located inside the massive Baybrook Mall - the old part - in Friendswood down in the Southeast corner of Houston. I think the best thing about this place is that it sells very sexy makeup, and the worst thing is the pricing. Employees are excellent and I always love coming in here because there's often so many pretty people in here. Like my girl. If I could give Sephora inside Baybrook Mall 0 stars, I would. As a loyal customer for many years, I expected better from them, but my recent experience left me extremely disappointed. I rarely have to return items, but unfortunately, the powder foundation I purchased was completely off in terms of shade. Naturally, I wanted to exchange it for a better match and even had plans to buy more products during my visit. However, I was met with a blunt refusal to process the return. Being a nursing student and a working mother and wife, my schedule is packed, leaving little time for anything outside of my responsibilities. This is the second time I've faced this issue, as the first time I was mismatched and ended up purchasing an Estee Lauder liquid foundation that was too dark for my skin. Living in Galveston, it's quite an inconvenience to drive all the way to Webster, especially with my busy schedule. I set the foundation aside, disappointed that I couldn't use it, with the intention of returning it for a shade that would match my undertones. However, I forgot about it until my daughter mentioned wanting some makeup. It was then that I realized I needed to return the item. I took my daughter to the store and purchased more items for her. To my dismay, the manager flatly told me that nothing could be done and I wouldn't receive any credit for the foundation. They didn't care about my situation at all, nor did they take into account that I don't take advantage of the system, despite the stereotypes ingrained in society. Without arguing, I asked to be matched again, even though I had just been told that my $50 would go straight to the trash. Once again, I received a mismatched shade that made me look as if I had plastered flour on my face. With my busy coursework in my last semester of nursing school, I didn't hadn't had time to return to the store. Today, I went in to return the mismatched foundation and get matched again, only to be told that I was out of luck and they couldn't do anything about it. They showed no concern for my situation. At this point, I am not just displeased, but livid. That's $100 dollars that Sephora has caused me to waste because I wasn't taken seriously enough to be given the time to be properly matched and not have to go through the inconvenience of returning the foundation to begin with. In light of this unfortunate experience, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my credit card with Sephora and redirect my beauty services and expenditures towards Ulta. I believe it is crucial to be appreciated as a loyal customer and receive the level of service I deserve. While I understand that every business can have off days, I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for Sephora to improve their customer service at the Baybrook Mall location. It is my sincere hope that Sephora takes this feedback seriously and addresses the concerns of their loyal customers. I even bought the mascara that she had on and even though it was a steep $29 I will say it's worth it:hourglass. It makes your lashes pop! She also helped me find Fenty beauty liquid foundation in my exact color. The customer service and attitude is poor, if you do a return you get negative vibes like you've done something wrong, their sample displays are very poor due to missing/low amount left to test/dried up, & the cashiers act as if they're miserable. Recently asked for assistance in what appeared to be the shift manager, and She directed me to someone else even though she was standing doing nothing. I really don't splurge on myself, but I came into Sephora looking for makeup for my wedding coming up. I had came here a couple times before just to browse. I asked for help and Christy helped me out. I told her that I wanted a wedding look and helped me get matched to a foundation. She explained to me the steps of adding on my makeup that I would need. I absolutely suck at filling in my eyebrows and she showed me how to do it. She was such a doll and the nicest person. Calvin was also helping me in between customers. They weren't pushy when it came to me buying anything. She showed me what I could buy and I picked out a couple things. Even if I don't wear the makeup for my wedding if I decide to get a makeup artist, I still have things that I can use on a daily basis. I've been here many many times over the years and I have to say the customer service needs to improve.  Recently I returned some products (they were recommend by an employee, but they weren't the right things for me) when I got to the counter and told the cashier I wanted to return some products she acted very cold shouldered and had this ugly look on her face. I needed some foundation and I wanted to try Stila. I had previously gotten a sample from Stila that was really nice. I am not so pleased with the customer service I received because a beauty class I booked a week in advanced is canceled and only I knew about it once I showed up at the store. Beauty Advisor informed me through the locked glass double door. Customer service line was unable to confirm the class is supposed to be existed not even after I said that I had the confirmation email directly from SEPHORA with the said date and time of the class. My last resort was to call to talk to the manager directly and that I was transferred straight to a full voice mail. How can I expect to do good business with such people when they cannot even get the most basic things done right? I usually buy stuff online, since there's free shipping over $50, samples, and a broader range of brands, but this is my favorite Sephora store. Though it doesn't have Illamasqua (killa nail polishes, babes), it has REN and Nude skincare (organic, baby) and the bestest sales associates. There's one who's super sweet and knowledgeable. I like to spend a lot of time testing stuff at Sephora and trying to think of things I need--I know, if I have to spend time thinking of what I need, I don't really need it, but that's how I justify beauty purchases. I tell her what I'm looking for; she offers me suggestions and runs around testing stuff, doing her hardest to find me what would work for me, sometimes grabbing other sales associates. She's still patient after I go up to her for the third time and ask her about some other category. The other sales associates are pretty cool, too; they'll ask you if you need help, but won't ask if you look like you're just chillin' with the testin'. Don't be afraid to ask for samples (this is more applicable for skincare and haircare). Shu Uemura's getting phased out from Sephora, so grab those eyelash curlers while you can (though Shiseido's better). Ditto for Frederic Fekkai. Also, the Beauty Insider card is free, and you get free samples with every $100 you spend. You get to be a VIB (Very Important Beauty Insider) with $800 in a calendar year, and there's better samples and a few other extra percent off events. If you get skincare products, ask if it qualifies for the Skincare Challenge. For every four products that qualify, you get to choose from a few full-sized products for free. read more

The brands and products are endless!! You can test and try on anything in the store you like, they will make samples of basically ANYTHING in the store, they have a great rewards program, and the return policy is incredible. Even though I don't always check in, I'm definitely a regular at this Sephora. I live on Nasa Road 1, so it is the nearest location to me. This Sephora has some of the nicest sales associates I've ever met. Every time I come in, they remember me, and make it a point to have a conversation with me or tell me that they missed me. It really makes me feel like I'm a part of their little family. I come in often, to check out the new products. I feel like every time I'm in the store they have change the layout, which keeps me on my toes. They have also gotten much more Becca makeup, as well as a couple of other new brands. I get the perk facial, which comes free with a $75 purchase, and it is definitely helped me with my skin texture. I feel like the workers are always great to recommend products that they feel will actually help my skin, they aren't just trying to sell a certain product. I've never had a problem getting samples, however sometimes they are a bit short-staffed. I've never had to wait very long in line, which is great. I feel like the store is quite large and has a good selection of products, however they do not carry all of the brands that the Galleria location has, for example. I think the store is also in a perfect location within the mall. Right next to Starbucks and Victoria's Secret, as well as the Apple Store. It's unfortunate that they don't have as many sales in the store. I think that something within the company changed, because I used to be able to find some really good deals. Worst Sephora I've ever been to in my life. They don't care because it's the only one around. It's a horrible experience majority of the time and if I have the time I drive to Pearland or Houston because the customer service is disturbingly bad and the products are out of stock always and for months. Very frustrating experience. I recently got married and my wedding day (prior to the ceremony) was a disaster. My make up artist in Galveston cancelled on me 20 minutes prior to my appointment and I was at a loss. I traveled to sephora at baybrook mall and called them on my way to see if anyone could help me. I was in a panic. They graciously told me to come on in. I walked into sephora and began to cry. My tears were abruptly stopped as soon as Ashley came to me and said "no more crying. We are going to make you beautiful and this is going to all work out." She was exactly right. She made me calm down and was able fix me up and get me out of there in time to do my hair and get back to Galveston in time to marry the man of my dreams.
