incredible performance they have it's so clean in there i would fall on the floor and relax

I am very much delayed by a few months for submitting this review, but definitely was going to review the manager and the business. I applied for the beauty advisor role at this location. I was called and recruited for a phone interview, and eventually was scheduled for a in person interview on Sunday June 21st @ 11am, which was Father's Day. Mind you, I was not new to Sephora, and had worked as a beauty advisor for an Austin location for over 2 years, and being a licensed cosmetologist for over 15 years, I had positive vibes. Also being scheduled for the in person, that i had a good chance. It did not take me long to feel the vibe switch quickly. My interview was @ 11, and the store didn't open until 12pm. The employees scattered around the store, sitting on the floor unpacking boxes, and trying to get situated with tasks before the store opened. I am standing at the door knocking to be let in, and they see me doing such as if i am not there. I proceed to knock harder, until someone came to open the door and let me in. I was told the manager would be with me shortly. I quickly realized that this was not going to be somewhere that i wanted to work. The manager approaches me and introduces herself and we go out into the mall and sit down at a table for the interview. Before wrapping up the interview, she assures me that the district manager would be in touch to further get acquainted, and next steps. I knew she was lying, and i had no interest in the role anymore. The lack of integrity, and lies was unnecessary. Just say that you are actively recruiting for the role, and someone may or may not reach back out. Also the lack of diversity and inclusion of the employees was crystal clear. That was my first and last time ever stepping foot in that Sephora, they would never get any of my business if that was the last Sephora standing. Yes, I am calling the manager, and all the Caucasian employees out. Do better!!!! read more

Birthday months are always fun at Sephora. Make sure to take advantage of their rewards program and check the app for special offers. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable and easy spot - they're always walking around to help someone. Right now, Fenty has a great sale on lipgloss, checkout the display located towards the front of the store. It's always busy on the weekends, be prepared for long lines. read more

I love Sephora but the last 2 times that I have been in the Baybrook store I left so upset and without what I went in for. I am 70 years old but still try to look nice. The young girls working in there have no desire to help a senior citizen. And the girl that I asked for help, spoke so fast that I couldn't even understand what she was saying! And when I stopped at 1 counter she said if you're okay, I am just going to leave you here and she did!!! And never came back! So I still am in need of help but don't know where to go to get it. I guess part of the training at Sephora is Not how to treat customers that are older. Our money is the same but evidently not anything they care about !!!! So where do we have to go to be treated with respect and dignity. My next try will be ULTA read more

I had an appointment today at 1 pm for an ultimate glam which takes 90 minutes. The lady (Samantha F) only worked on my face for 60 minutes but charged me for the ultimate glam price. I asked her why am I being charged when she only worked on my face for 60 minutes. She said she did a lot of work on my eyes (she didn't, I already had eyelash extensions and she didn't apply eyeliner on the bottom like I asked.) She could have spent 30 minutes prepping my face but it was kinda like brush here brush there. Pro tip: do not ever get an ultimate glam from Sephora. They will jip you on the money and time Not a great experience at all. read more

Pros: they had what I needed. Velour, no trim eyelashes. Cons: eyelash display was a mess. Very unorganized. When I got in the store, nobody was available to me help me because they were taking selfies. It took them much longer to take these selfies than you would expect because they had to find the perfect pose. read more

This Sephora location is fairly spacious with a great selection of products. The workers were really nice, making sure I found what I was looking for. The customers were also very respectful and quiet. The store was organized, fresh, and clean. read more

Sometimes, I stand on a mountain and I feel like I can Sephora thousand miles. Other times, I come to the Baybrook Mall and hang out at Sephora. This is an excellent Sephora makeup store which Barbie loves, and it's located inside the massive Baybrook Mall - the old part - in Friendswood down in the Southeast corner of Houston. I think the best thing about this place is that it sells very sexy makeup, and the worst thing is the pricing. Employees are excellent and I always love coming in here because there's often so many pretty people in here. Like my girl. Definitely a cool store and definitely one of the highlights of the mall. read more

If I could give Sephora inside Baybrook Mall 0 stars, I would. As a loyal customer for many years, I expected better from them, but my recent experience left me extremely disappointed. I rarely have to return items, but unfortunately, the powder foundation I purchased was completely off in terms of shade. Naturally, I wanted to exchange it for a better match and even had plans to buy more products during my visit. However, I was met with a blunt refusal to process the return. Being a nursing student and a working mother and wife, my schedule is packed, leaving little time for anything outside of my responsibilities. This is the second time I've faced this issue, as the first time I was mismatched and ended up purchasing an Estee Lauder liquid foundation that was too dark for my skin. Living in Galveston, it's quite an inconvenience to drive all the way to Webster, especially with my busy schedule. I set the foundation aside, disappointed that I couldn't use it, with the intention of returning it for a shade that would match my undertones. However, I forgot about it until my daughter mentioned wanting some makeup. It was then that I realized I needed to return the item. I took my daughter to the store and purchased more items for her. To my dismay, the manager flatly told me that nothing could be done and I wouldn't receive any credit for the foundation. They didn't care about my situation at all, nor did they take into account that I don't take advantage of the system, despite the stereotypes ingrained in society. Without arguing, I asked to be matched again, even though I had just been told that my $50 would go straight to the trash. Once again, I received a mismatched shade that made me look as if I had plastered flour on my face. With my busy coursework in my last semester of nursing school, I didn't hadn't had time to return to the store. Today, I went in to return the mismatched foundation and get matched again, only to be told that I was out of luck and they couldn't do anything about it. They showed no concern for my situation. At this point, I am not just displeased, but livid. That's $100 dollars that Sephora has caused me to waste because I wasn't taken seriously enough to be given the time to be properly matched and not have to go through the inconvenience of returning the foundation to begin with. In light of this unfortunate experience, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my credit card with Sephora and redirect my beauty services and expenditures towards Ulta. I believe it is crucial to be appreciated as a loyal customer and receive the level of service I deserve. While I understand that every business can have off days, I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for Sephora to improve their customer service at the Baybrook Mall location. It is my sincere hope that Sephora takes this feedback seriously and addresses the concerns of their loyal customers. Although I had a negative experience at this particular Sephora location, I encourage others to explore different Sephora stores or consider Ulta, another reputable beauty retailer with a wide selection of products. Ultimately, it is essential to find a store that values its customers and provides a positive shopping experience. read more

They are under renovation so be careful maneuvering the aisles!! Hope they come up with a cooler layout! Leah was the MUA who helped my sister and I make our purchases and she was great! I even bought the mascara that she had on and even though it was a steep $29 I will say it's worth it:hourglass. It makes your lashes pop! She also helped me find Fenty beauty liquid foundation in my exact color. While they didn't have it in the store, I ended up getting two bottles online and I also purchased a lipstick from the Fenty line. Looks like I'll be back Sephora!! read more

Haven't purchased makeup in awhile. Today I walked into Sephora completely overwhelmed and no clue where to start. A makeup artist named Jen helped me out and I left with exactly what I needed. She also gave me some tips on how to apply and blend the makeup. Thank You! Very excited to start applying makeup again read more

Worst retail location for Sephora in my experience. Been coming to this store out of convenience to my home. The customer service and attitude is poor, if you do a return you get negative vibes like you've done something wrong, their sample displays are very poor due to missing/low amount left to test/dried up, & the cashiers act as if they're miserable. Recently asked for assistance in what appeared to be the shift manager, and She directed me to someone else even though she was standing doing nothing. Often the product I'm looking for is sold out in-store. I prefer the galleria location better than the Baybrook store. read more

This location is by itself, not the one in Jcpenney but I just have to say wow!! I haven't seen this great customer service in a while! The employees were so helpful in helping me what I needed and Michael, the store manager was so helpful and helped me find exactly what I wanted and was so kind! The cashier who checked me out was so sweet as well and even offered me my birthday gift which I had forgot about! Great location! Thank you staff for being so kind !! Great attitudes imprint memories in the customers brain!! read more

I really don't splurge on myself, but I came into Sephora looking for makeup for my wedding coming up. I had came here a couple times before just to browse. I asked for help and Christy helped me out. I told her that I wanted a wedding look and helped me get matched to a foundation. She explained to me the steps of adding on my makeup that I would need. I absolutely suck at filling in my eyebrows and she showed me how to do it. She was such a doll and the nicest person. Calvin was also helping me in between customers. They weren't pushy when it came to me buying anything. She showed me what I could buy and I picked out a couple things. Even if I don't wear the makeup for my wedding if I decide to get a makeup artist, I still have things that I can use on a daily basis. Everyone was friendly and I will come back later to add to my makeup collection. The store is pretty clean and you are able to see everything displayed. They give you samples of things without hesitating. It's around the holiday times, so it was a bit busy in the store. The cashier asked if I had an account and even gave me my birthday gift!!!! Super excited to play around with my new makeup. read more

I was a mallrat. Oh yes, it's true. It's been 20 years and I used to hang out at this mall and try to buy tapes. Yes, tapes with parental adversary sticker on them. Memories. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they opened a Sephora at this mall. Sephora is an awesome store to buy makeup. If I know what I need I like just buying it online. I needed some foundation and I wanted to try Stila. I had previously gotten a sample from Stila that was really nice. I was assisted by a really nice staff member but she also let me browse at the products on here. I found some great foundation that matched my skin really well. Sephora has chains in other states too and not every place has the same level of customer service. read more

Sephoras are Sephoras are Sephoras, with the testers and broad range of makeup, skincare, and haircare brands. I usually buy stuff online, since there's free shipping over $50, samples, and a broader range of brands, but this is my favorite Sephora store. Though it doesn't have Illamasqua (killa nail polishes, babes), it has REN and Nude skincare (organic, baby) and the bestest sales associates. There's one who's super sweet and knowledgeable. I like to spend a lot of time testing stuff at Sephora and trying to think of things I need--I know, if I have to spend time thinking of what I need, I don't really need it, but that's how I justify beauty purchases. I tell her what I'm looking for; she offers me suggestions and runs around testing stuff, doing her hardest to find me what would work for me, sometimes grabbing other sales associates. She's still patient after I go up to her for the third time and ask her about some other category. The other sales associates are pretty cool, too; they'll ask you if you need help, but won't ask if you look like you're just chillin' with the testin'. Don't be afraid to ask for samples (this is more applicable for skincare and haircare). Shu Uemura's getting phased out from Sephora, so grab those eyelash curlers while you can (though Shiseido's better). Ditto for Frederic Fekkai. Also, the Beauty Insider card is free, and you get free samples with every $100 you spend. You get to be a VIB (Very Important Beauty Insider) with $800 in a calendar year, and there's better samples and a few other extra percent off events. If you get skincare products, ask if it qualifies for the Skincare Challenge. For every four products that qualify, you get to choose from a few full-sized products for free. read more

I've been here many many times over the years and I have to say the customer service needs to improve.  Recently I returned some products (they were recommend by an employee, but they weren't the right things for me) when I got to the counter and told the cashier I wanted to return some products she acted very cold shouldered and had this ugly look on her face. Since when did returning something become taboo?  Secondly, I've gone in there many times and asked for a specific product only to be reccomened something completely different that I don't actually want.  The employees can often be seen in groups talking and ignoring customers or only helping customers who look like they're 'worth it'. read more

I am not so pleased with the customer service I received because a beauty class I booked a week in advanced is canceled and only I knew about it once I showed up at the store. Beauty Advisor informed me through the locked glass double door. Customer service line was unable to confirm the class is supposed to be existed not even after I said that I had the confirmation email directly from SEPHORA with the said date and time of the class. My last resort was to call to talk to the manager directly and that I was transferred straight to a full voice mail. How can I expect to do good business with such people when they cannot even get the most basic things done right? I never experienced such humiliation at any other SEPHORA stores except for the Baybrook Mall. read more

I'm convinced that Sephora's hiring process consists of asking potential employees how rude they can possibly be and who ever scores the highest they hire then promote who ever is most rude. Hate going into this store. Employees are CONSISTENTLY rude, Managers included. I refuse to shop inside a Sephora ONLINE ONLY to avoid this bs. read more

Rude employees. Not a single employee acknowledged my presence or helped when I clearly looked like I needed help. Only a few of them were nice and approachable. I try to avoid this place as much as possible. read more

I love Sephora!! I'm a beauty addict and Sephora is my drug. It's really not much to dislike about this place other than not having enough money to buy everything in the store. The brands and products are endless!! You can test and try on anything in the store you like, they will make samples of basically ANYTHING in the store, they have a great rewards program, and the return policy is incredible. I can't say enough good things about Sephora. read more

Out of all of the Sephoras, this one is consistently the best. I like Sephora, a lot, enough to be Rouge and of all of the ones I've been to, the Baybrook location has the most helpful staff. They are friendly and will help you find anything you need, even when its really busy. read more

Even though I don't always check in, I'm definitely a regular at this Sephora. I live on Nasa Road 1, so it is the nearest location to me. This Sephora has some of the nicest sales associates I've ever met. Every time I come in, they remember me, and make it a point to have a conversation with me or tell me that they missed me. It really makes me feel like I'm a part of their little family. I come in often, to check out the new products. I feel like every time I'm in the store they have change the layout, which keeps me on my toes. They have also gotten much more Becca makeup, as well as a couple of other new brands. I get the perk facial, which comes free with a $75 purchase, and it is definitely helped me with my skin texture. I feel like the workers are always great to recommend products that they feel will actually help my skin, they aren't just trying to sell a certain product. I've never had a problem getting samples, however sometimes they are a bit short-staffed. I've never had to wait very long in line, which is great. I feel like the store is quite large and has a good selection of products, however they do not carry all of the brands that the Galleria location has, for example. I think the store is also in a perfect location within the mall. Right next to Starbucks and Victoria's Secret, as well as the Apple Store. It's unfortunate that they don't have as many sales in the store. I think that something within the company changed, because I used to be able to find some really good deals. Otherwise, I love the Sephora. They are eager to help you find what you want. Also, if they have time they will give you a little mini makeover for free. read more

Worst Sephora I've ever been to in my life. They don't care because it's the only one around. It's a horrible experience majority of the time and if I have the time I drive to Pearland or Houston because the customer service is disturbingly bad and the products are out of stock always and for months. Very frustrating experience. Luckily there is a Starbucks nearby but use the mobile app. Terrible Mall altogether but in this area, folks have no other options. :( Today there were more Sephora employees in the store than customers but no one had time to do makeup with a purchase? Do I need to go back to MAC? I'm considering it because it's so bad. I don't understand. And they are only booking Friday and Saturday appointments now? How are you supposed to color match or test out colors? Isn't that the point of having a retail store? read more

Awesome customer service! Very friendly and helpful. I bought the wrong bottle of cologne by mistake and didn't notice until I used it for the first time. They exchanged it for me with no drama even though it was really my fault for not paying close enough attention (the packaging was identical, but the name was different). read more

What is not to love about a store you can play with almost everything inside? It is like a toy store for adults that like makeup/etc. Also they have a great return/exchange policy! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. They're extremely rude and don't know how to back off of someone. I recently got married and my wedding day (prior to the ceremony) was a disaster. My make up artist in Galveston cancelled on me 20 minutes prior to my appointment and I was at a loss. I traveled to sephora at baybrook mall and called them on my way to see if anyone could help me. I was in a panic. They graciously told me to come on in. I walked into sephora and began to cry. My tears were abruptly stopped as soon as Ashley came to me and said "no more crying. We are going to make you beautiful and this is going to all work out." She was exactly right. She made me calm down and was able fix me up and get me out of there in time to do my hair and get back to Galveston in time to marry the man of my dreams. Thanks so much Ashley for your kindness, great personality and for the great job you did on my makeup. You are a huge asset to the company. Here a few pics of how it all turned out. Thanks again!! read more

I have been visiting this store numerous times and very rarely had any good experience. I wish the girls listen to what customers want more than trying to push sales. Sometimes i just like to come in and try out some new products, but the girls are always so rude when they realize i am just browsing. Other time when i actually want to buy something, it's hard to find someone who is willing to listen to all concerns without trying to "close sales" fast. I mean i kind of expect to see someone who is knowledgeable about makeup/skincare or enthusiastic about them rather than pushing customers to buy something they do not really need. The store is ok. It's nothing compared to the galleria and their staff. This store is mediocre when it comes to service.
