But I'm always offered the option to order online, with free s/h. The staff is friendly, they offer to assist so I can shop more comfortably. There are unique things I couldn't find anywhere else or perhaps I would have to go to different stores to find. The artistic displays (which are changed every few months) are so beautiful, and paired with the candle scents makes or a very pleasant experience, even if you come to look...I hardly ever leave empty-handed!

I went into Anthro recently as I love to window shop here and look at the sale room. So I…read moreeventually did go into the sale room and there was one sales person in there helping another customer. I looked, but I wanted to wait to feel more comfortable alone for the salesperson to leave. Another walked in and pretended to be straightening clothes, it was very clear why she was in there because there was no reason for two sales people to be in there. She proceeded to stay in the room straightening clothes as everyone left and it was just me. Eventually I left to shop without being bothered in the rest of the store and wait for her to leave the sale room so I could be there unbothered. While on the sales floor at least 3 people asked me if I wanted a dressing room. While I did have clothes in my hands, I wanted to look at everything before getting a room. I like to carry items and think about my decision to buy. Finally she left the room and I went back in to browse ALONE. As I was walking back in to look at items, ANOTHER salesperson walked in and again pretended to be straightening the clothes. I was very annoyed by this time and left the items I was considering purchasing in the sales room out of frustration. I had wanted to try them on, but all interest in buying from that location left me due to sales people refusing to let me shop in piece. Ironically as I walked out the door, TWO sales people approached me and asked if I would like to have a dressing room. I left the store with no purchases in hand. The manager said thank you for coming, and I thanked her, but I've basically decided to never go to the Baybrook location again. A lack of trust for customers and bothering them constantly to buy is a bad recipe. I went into Paper Source afterward and a sales person approached me to say hi. I told her about my experience at Anthro and she chuckled saying she wouldn't harass me. It also seems like this location is not doing too well because they have decreased their inventory--not as full as it was when they first opened a few years ago.

Today, I had about 30 minutes to kill and was able to pop in, shop, try stuff on, pay an be out the door. This is the cleanest and most organized Nordstrom Rack out of the two I've been to (Uptown and Spring Branch). And this location - on a Wednesday evening - hardly had any other shoppers inside. It was like my own private shopping experience. Their jean selection wasn't as robust as the other two Greater Houston spots, but on a hot day like today, I wasn't too interested in pants! And they don't have some over the higher end or luxe clothing labels. But sunnies, hair products, makeup, shoes, athletic wear... I was set. Friendly staff too.

It seems small compared to other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. However they have a decent variety of things, women's coats and jackets, active wear, pants, tops/blouses, intimate apparel. After some perusing, I found what I had came for. The quality of the outfit didn't look as good as it did online. Nonetheless I grabbed it and a couple other blouses and tried everything on in the fitting room. They had an attendant at the fitting room who was helpful and it was easy to get in and out of the dressing room. The checkout process was fairly quick and when asked the cashier let me know what their return policy was. I had until January (it was earlier this week when I purchased my items, so early November), with the receipt, all tags, and the items obviously never worn. I'm not sure if this is their usual return window or a special one for the holidays but its more than enough time to return something if you need to and I did so this was helpful. When I returned my items a couple hours later, after finding something that better fit my needs, the return process was a breeze and they refunded my money back to my original form of payment.

I am very much delayed by a few months for submitting this review, but definitely was going to…read morereview the manager and the business. I applied for the beauty advisor role at this location. I was called and recruited for a phone interview, and eventually was scheduled for a in person interview on Sunday June 21st @ 11am, which was Father's Day. Mind you, I was not new to Sephora, and had worked as a beauty advisor for an Austin location for over 2 years, and being a licensed cosmetologist for over 15 years, I had positive vibes. Also being scheduled for the in person, that i had a good chance. It did not take me long to feel the vibe switch quickly. My interview was @ 11, and the store didn't open until 12pm. The employees scattered around the store, sitting on the floor unpacking boxes, and trying to get situated with tasks before the store opened. I am standing at the door knocking to be let in, and they see me doing such as if i am not there. I proceed to knock harder, until someone came to open the door and let me in. I was told the manager would be with me shortly. I quickly realized that this was not going to be somewhere that i wanted to work. The manager approaches me and introduces herself and we go out into the mall and sit down at a table for the interview. Before wrapping up the interview, she assures me that the district manager would be in touch to further get acquainted, and next steps. I knew she was lying, and i had no interest in the role anymore. The lack of integrity, and lies was unnecessary. Just say that you are actively recruiting for the role, and someone may or may not reach back out. Also the lack of diversity and inclusion of the employees was crystal clear. That was my first and last time ever stepping foot in that Sephora, they would never get any of my business if that was the last Sephora standing. Yes, I am calling the manager, and all the Caucasian employees out. Do better!!!!

The parking lot feels like 5 o'clock traffic on 610, packed with the same people who apparently believe they're the only ones on the road. Unfortunately, that behavior continues once they get inside. Folks stop dead in the middle of aisles, park carts diagonally across entire lanes, and stare into the distance like they're solving international diplomacy instead of choosing between a 40-pack of granola bars and a barrel of cashews. Spatial awareness goes here to die. To be fair, the employees here are consistently polite, helpful, and somehow manage to maintain their sanity while directing human gridlock for eight hours straight. The store itself is also impressively clean, especially considering it regularly looks like the entire Gulf Coast showed up at once to buy mayonnaise by the gallon. And honestly, it's a fine store. If you're ever in desperate need of an 8-pound can of tuna, a case of Bavarian sauerkraut, or enough paper towels to survive a minor economic collapse, this is your paradise. The samples alone can replace lunch if you're patient and willing to circle the aisles like a vulture.
