I love this Sephora. I find the people amazing, friendly, open-minded. I usually know exactly what I want so it is easy. I do recommend though, that before you make a purchase, check the prices on the internet. I was going to buy a hair item once that was priced at $75. That seemed high to me so I didn't get it. When I went home I googled the item and was able to purchase it for $11 on Walmart. I did let the people at this Sephora know but the next time I went in, it still had a $75 price tag. That was the only time this happened to me, but I still check the prices online before I buy. read more

I'm a tourist from Colorado who had a makeup emergency...I needed some different products for my (oily/acne-prone) skin that'll work for the more humid weather here. They aight. Not the best. I went twice within a week and got the same chick. She had a really thick accent and could hardly understand her under the mask. Wasn't exactly the friendliest. We got a Clarisonic that was advertised for 127 and I guess it was an expired sign and I said uhm it's 127 on the sign ? When she said my total and she was like no it's 169. And I said oh the sign says 127. And she walked up to it saying ya it's expired. Like uh okay. I still got the price after a manager was called over. But she didn't seem like she wanted to change the price. Came in to return a palette nd she was there again. No acknowledgement or anything. Like girl huh? Weird experiences here. I dunno. Out of the entire staff there was only about one person who was genuinely nice to me and my mom. Not only did they exhibit poor customer service, but one employee actually argued with me and proceeded to tell me, "I've worked here for a long time I think I know what I'm talking about", when it came to a silly product. I don't even want to give this store one star. The manager was so rude! After I found an eyeshadow I wanted and I let her know she did not tell me that it was a tester and could not be sold. It wasn't until I stood in a very long line and once at the register the cashier told me I could not buy it. She called the manager, Vicki, over and she just snatched up all my items, all non samples except the one, and said it can not be sold. I am surprised this store is even in business. Not really a girly girl, but I was taking a trip and needed to purchase some stuff to dress up my face. I was totally out of my element, and the girls working there helped me a lot. They answered my questions when I asked and also left me alone when I wanted to wander a bit. All in all a great experience. Pricey yes, but my products have lasted much longer than the lesser quality stuff that I usually buy. So that's probably a wash. I know what you're thinking...why is a guy reviewing a make up store?? Well I was being awesome and picking up some stuff for my wife! I walked in and was instantly greeted by a voice before I had even fully stepped foot in the store! I brought over this make up thing I was told to get another of and showed one of the staff members. She knew exactly where it was with no hesitation and I saw myself to the check out counter and even though there was only ONE person in front of me, she also stepped up and checked me out. Full service provided and she even gave me, but really my wife, a couple of samples of a Versace perfume. All in all, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes..super easy errand. I don't know if I'LL be back, but my wife will be and I don't think I'd dread picking up something for her as much as I did before I encountered the helpful staff at this Sephora. read more

I can't say enough about this place. I visited today in need of a complete makeup shopping.... everything needed to be replaced. The staff was so attentive and so very patient. The woman stationed at the door (I wish I caught her name) was so sweet and accommodating. Neri helped me choose my products and was absolutely amazing with me. She really took the time to show me my options and explain to me how to use the products correctly. She did the best she could while following the rules due to the restrictions in place due to covid. She even made sure to let me know I could reach out and ask for her any time if I needed her to explain once more how to apply anything. I spent way more than I had intended because I felt calm and valued. I do NOT enjoy shopping and rarely do it so the fact that I enjoyed this experience says a lot. Probably the best Sephora we've been in in regards to customer service. Me and my girlfriend actively shop at Sephora online and in their Lenox Mall location in Atlanta, GA. There was a sales person in every section who were attentive and willing to help if we needed it. Although the store is somewhat small and compact compared to other Sephora's we've been in, that's not an issue however as they seem to have a good stock of popular items. I thoroughly enjoyed the scent IQ system as the rep guided me into perfumes I would have never tried. I also observed one of the sales reps help a gentleman with cologne of which started a conversation, on which he praised her sales tactics. We will visit here again in the future the next time we come to Destin as we enjoyed this particular store. read more

They never bothered to offer to help or ask if I needed anything. A Caucasian comes in and they scamper to help her. Worst experience EVER!! I was in the store for a while and had already gotten help from someone else. Then, a lady asked me and my friends if we needed help. I responded, "no, thank you though". Afterwards, she followed us around and called one of the other employees over. Once the other employee comes over, they start speaking in spanish over their microphones/walkie-talkies about me and my friends and staring at us. So, we go and look at other things while talking about the employees rude behavior. Then, we decide to get in line to check out. While we are checking out, they decide to call security on us. *KEEP IN MIND, we were not acting suspicious or stealing*. Then, security gets there and stares at us. We are done checking out by the time he gets there. Then, we walk out of the store with our bags in hand and NO alarms go off. I have been a faithful shopper at this Sephora since they've opened. As a Woman of Color it frustrates me when they do not carry products in my color range in the brands I love not all but some for example they display the full color range but do are always "out of stock" on the shades that are dark. I wanted Bare Minerals BarePro Powder they were "Out of Stock", I consented then I wanted MakeUp Forever's Matte Velvet they were "Out of Stock" but offered to order online so I did. I would like to have an option to buy at that moment and not have to wait 3-5 days for delievery. Remember Sephora in Dothan as I have never had this problem before women do come in all colors and ranges who would like to buy at site. I went in today for the third time in my life. I've always been a Walmart and target makeup girl, but I keep hearing how great Sephora's makeup is and I decided to venture out. The first two times I went in, no one spoke to me, and I felt absolutely lost, so I left. Today, I went to the cashier and asked about samples, and she brought Julie over. Julie is the bomb.com! She was awesome and I felt so comfortable around her and with taking her advice! I will come back more often now that I know there is a friendly face who is confident about her makeup and who doesn't make me feel stupid when it comes to makeup I know nothing about. I am in Destin for vacation right now and tonight my family decided to eat at Paula Deen's and maybe go in a few shops. On Google, the Destin Commons has 10 as their closing time and after dinner it was around 9 so I figured I'd have time to walk over to Sephora (not even a 2 minute walk) and look around. When I walked in, I was not greeted by a single person. Instead, they all stood in the middle of the store talking and laughing. My grandma came in a little after me and was never spoken to either. My boyfriend and I walked around for a few minutes while I looked at some primers. I walked over to the skincare because I wanted to get a full size of the drunk elephant no 9 jelly cleanser. I grabbed it and was looking for something else from the brand I might like and that's when after about 15 minutes of being there, I was spoken to for the first time. The manager, I presume, asked me if there was anything particular I wanted and when I told her no thanks I was just looking she noticeably got agitated and told the other girls working to just go on home. I immediately put down the product I was going to buy and walked out. I work as a waitress and I know how it is to have someone walk in last minute. If someone would've spoken to me I walked in, I would've asked what time they closed and made sure I was in and out but since nobody said anything, I figured they closed at 10 like Google said. I assumed I had time to look around. As I walked out another customer who was in there when I came in told me that she was never spoken to either. I felt like it was very rude and unprofessional. Even when I was spoken to, it was obvious she was just trying to get me to hurry up and was annoyed when I said I was just looking. I made the quick decision to put down what I was going to buy because of the poor service. I'll wait until I get back to my town and drive to the nearest sephora (an hour away from my house) to buy what I was going to get. I'd rather spend my money at a place with good customer service. read more

I LOVE the Sephora in my hometown of Albuquerque, NM! The girls there are experienced and incredibly helpful. So it was a shock to me to come into this tiny building posing as a Sephora with rude and lazy staff. I walked around for a bit and NO ONE came to ask if I needed help with anything! I approached a makeup artist and she could truly care less to advise me on foundation choices. Maybe if they had to do it for commission the staff would feel more driven to help for sales? Oh well, I left pretty bummed and also empty handed. I will stick to ordering online and make the trip to Pensacola. read more
