At the register, they always give you a coupon for your next visit and a notification about an upcoming sale. Just like that, brusque, no warmth. No acknowledgement that they skipped a whole work day, and again nothing welcoming. Completely understand that businesses get busy, kudos!, but if you're trying to welcome new business or strengthen a reputation as a caring business - this is hardly the way to do it. Called back just to let somebody know what happened - since I have no idea if this was the owner who called back that brusquely or an employee - and again no apology just "sometimes we just get busy" ... and did I still need flowers...? Ummmm - yes: 2 days ago. We are all very busy (especially these days) - including new customers reaching out for your business. Since this business seems unaware: if a person calls around saying they're from out of state looking for a florist for a friend who is suffering (I left a clear voicemail -because it WAS important and timely) and you wait 2 days, they likely have moved on to businesses who welcome their call and seem welcoming.
