Had I not looked them up online, I would have never even known this little shop was there -tucked in between others. We spent quite a while in the store and the lovely owner gave her lots of tips. She ended up finding the perfect dress, exactly what she was looking for. I'm happy because we spent under $50 on a dress she'll likely not wear again. She also found a great accent necklace to go with it. Tip: don't try on dress by sizes, look for the style and colors you want first. We found things that fit my daughter from size 4-16. Dresses like this really vary in sizing.

But it's irresistible so you wander in anyway thinking "I'll just look around and drool" only to get hit by a spanking whollop of reverse-sticker shock!!!! Holy Smokes, this isn't a boutique, it's a consignment/resale shop in disguise! Grab your smelling salts quick before you get the vapors. The racks hold handpicked treasures; some of it is resale stuff ferreted out by the owner, and some of it is carefully selected consignment. The hardwood floors gleam, the built-in shelves are tastefully arranged and the décor is ... art. This shop is a quiet pleasure, an oasis and a delight. Go. www.aheadofthecurvestyle.com

I discovered this sweet shop a few months ago when doing some Bellingham thrifting with my mom…read more It's in a fairly large space and is so incredibly well organized - one of my #1 requirements in a thrift shop! All of the items were clean, and there wasn't really any "junk" to sift through to find treasures. As always, I started in the kitchen area, where I'm always looking for some interesting bowl, jar, or rare kitchen gadget to add to my collection. Then, I meandered over to the linens, through the furniture, over to clothing, and of course spent a considerable amount of time in their crafting and book area. Their prices were super reasonable, and the staff (who all - or most - appear to be volunteers) were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be adding this to my Bellingham thrift store rotation!

What actually happened was my husband found approximately everything he has ever wanted. Jackets, gear, "ooh look at this" items, suddenly it was less holiday shopping and more Yeagers-sponsored shopping spree for him. And honestly? I'm not mad about it. Because now I know exactly what Santa is bringing him (Great job, Santa. Nailed it.) We did successfully shop for the people we came in for...one lucky person is getting a Yeagers gift card (which honestly feels like a win for everyone). I also found the cutest raincoat ever, cowboys, cows, and horses, plus matching rain boots, BOTH marked down. I mean come on. Instant joy. Yeagers has an amazing selection of high-quality, top-tier outdoor clothing brands, a massive toy section, a great shoe department, and just so many things you didn't know you needed until you see them. It's one of those places where you go in for "one thing" and leave smiling with a cart full of happiness. Highly recommend especially during the holidays.
