I recently injured my foot…read more YES I was doing jump squats, barefoot. Not good. Podiatrist recommends: *rest *orthotics Superfeet are amazing. I never knew you didn't need to spend $400 for custom orthotics. These are accessible and work! I have a pair for everything now: heels, flats and sports shoes.

When my left arch started aching after a five mile run, I knew I needed more support. My arches…read morealmost completely collapse and I overpronate. The arches in your feet are designed to collapse and provide shock absorption. This is called normal pronation. If your arches collapse so much that your feet roll inward, this is overpronation. For me, both my feet overpronate but my left foot rolls in more than the right. I also have plantar fasciitis. This is an inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thin layer of tough tissue supporting the arch of the foot. Because of my plantar fasciitis, activities like ice skating or rollerblading are very painful for me. I also prefer to run on hard, even ground - running on soft surfaces like grass or sand are much more painful for me. I wear stability shoes and they served me well for shorter distances but I need more support for the longer runs. The green Superfeet insoles gave me the extra support I needed to increase my mileage. At first, I thought they were too stiff but my feet seem to respond really well them. Because I have a demanding training schedule right now, I didn't have much time to break them in so I wore them out to dinner and to work and I was able to run a few miles the next day. I was concerned I needed more time for my feet to get accustomed to them but that wasn't the case. When I went to the orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine he told me he always tells his patients to try a pair of Superfeet before investing in expensive orthotics. I wish my podiatrist had done the same. I spent a lot of money on my custom orthotics and I ended up throwing them away.

My initial visit ~Feb or March 2020:  I randomly stopped in…read moreto find insole inserts for my achy feet after exploring downtown by foot one gloomy afternoon. Austin was very welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating from beginning to end. She even provided a complimentary fitting--what great service! I left with the perfect inserts that dramatically improved my daily walk. Probably some of thee best inserts I've ever owned.  Second visit on 06/18/2020:  I was relieved to find that they were open and operating! I made a last minute appointment to look at running shoes, and David was very pleasant and welcoming from the time he picked up the phone and throughout my time inside the store. I've had many shoe fittings at department and small shoe stores, and I thought I knew a thing or two after buying many pairs of sneakers and running shoes over a 12 to 14-year period. But after leaving the store with probably thee best pair of running shoes (and the most comfortable shoes ever) that I have ever owned, I realized that David had provided unparalleled service and product--all of this just for a pair of running shoes! In addition, the store was clean, empty, masks required by everyone, as well as sanitizing of the hands upon entering the store. I could have easily bought these products online by first doing hours of research to find the best product and best deal, while being weary of "paid" reviews, especially true for Amazon products, but instead, I decided to keep my purchase local and immediate. Thereby, cutting down on shipping costs (free shipping isn't really "free") and less cardboard boxes in circulation. In addition, I received expert advice in person and felt reassured that I was making the best decision and getting a fair deal for a quality product backed by quality service. Overall, I enjoyed my shopping experience at this store, and I never once felt like I was being up-sold or given a sales pitch. They know their craft, are genuine believers of the products they provide, and deliver all of this with amazing customer service. I highly recommend that you visit a local running shoe store, especially Bbay Running store for all of your walking and running footwear and gear... and don't forget to make an appointment!

That's what I loved about my time in here, I already hate malls and everything that goes along with it, but I needed more winter shoe gear for the upcoming season and the employees leave you alone here to browse in peace. This is also a pretty organized store so it was easy to find sizes. I think this is the cheapest priced place for decent shoes with name brands that are not sold in Payless in Bellingham. I also like this particular store because it has my size of shoe which is size 5 and nearly impossible to finds anywhere. I was able to pick up some lovely black tall boots as well as tan winter waterproof snow boots. They also had a crazy buy one get the second half off sale so that was fun. When I did interact with an employee at check out it was easy peasy, and the cashier was super nice. Just like a lot of the other stores in Bellis Fair Mall they are not crowded for some reason, even with the holiday season coming up.

A week ago, went in looking for a pair of shoes that were listed "available in store" on their website. The clerk couldn't find them. They also couldn't go to the back and look because their supervisor was "writing the schedule?" Apparently the schedule writing supercedes selling shoes. They were not helpful in placing an order and simply said come back next Tuesday when we get our shipment. Fast forward to today! Tuesday... wait for it, they said "just because we get our shipment on Tuesday, doesn't mean that the shoes are put out on Tuesday." See? They DONT WANT TO SELL SHOES. Service is NOT helpful.
