Customer service who? I might as well have had the entire store to myself everyone ignored me so hard YIKES

Lack of stock & this location does not carry many of the big brands that I specifically shop at Sephora for. Staff isn't really fast or particularly friendly anymore...not sure what happened beucasr this did not used to be the case. You have t walk through the dead center of the mall though all the freelance vendors (from the closest door/parking) and at this mall they are particularly agressive. As a solo female shopper I don't always feel super safe as they will follow you talking *at* you. To go through that only to get to a store that generally has low stock, and no availability of brands I typically shop Sephora for, It's kind of a sham. They will also send you to neighboring Macy's beauty counter of you are looking for something they do not carry at this location - both times they have done this, Macy's did not have that brand either and they (Macy's employees) seemed annoyed by Sephora employees doing that. So that gets akward & further wastes my time. I avoid this location if I can even if it is the closest location to my home. I only do pickup orders here when I'm in a time crunch. read more

Visited this location while at Cumberland Mall and it did not disappoint. I love all retail therapy, especially skincare, fragrances and more! Sephora never disappoints me (until they make me pay lol) and this visit was no different. I went in with a plan to smell some KAYALI perfumes to purchase for my mom as one of her Christmas gifts, along with grabbing a new bottle of my favorite Versace Bright Crystal. Being that it was only about 3 weeks before Christmas, of course it was packed in the mall and in the store. My boyfriend decided to let me go into paradise by myself as he waited outside, lol. Wise choice. There were guests getting their makeup done, beauty-lovers buzzing about the aisles and just so much going on. Luckily, everyone was being mindful and gracious so there wasn't much bumping about and it was still easy to maneuver. I love that this location (and most of them) are always so tidy despite makeup and fragrance testers being so vital here. And it's always so easy to find what you're looking for if you aren't distracted by all of the other goodies. I went straight to the fragrance are and got focused. I smelled all of the KAYALI scents and omg. I need to write a review just for that brand! But I digress. I found the scent I was looking for and moved onto my own brand for purchase which was an easy find. After browsing around a bit more, I decided that I'd order my mom's perfume for shipping to Florida and purchase mine in-store. But when I saw that long line? Babyyyyy, I was not with it. Luckily, an associate was walking past me and asked me if I was ready to check out and if I was doing so with a card, he could assist me with the handy portable POS that he was holding. SCORE! He got my Versace perfume, pulled out a drawer near the fragrance section and checked me out within minutes. Game changer! Such a smooth visit to Sephora and a great way to treat myself and my mom. read more

I had a great experience at this Sephora location while I was in town! Anytime I go in for one thing and leave with several - great customer service was had. Nicole answered all my questions from makeup to perfume. She was very patient while I made my decision. Great conversations in between. Next while I was looking for a lip liner I started chatting with Kay + a fellow shopper and was directed to a new primer for oily skin I can alternate with my one size product. Lastly, Alina helped me find a lip liner alternative since the one I wanted was in fact out of stock. I ended with a new lip combo that I'm super excited to test out!! Such a great experience! Man, if you can find Gina in here she is the best. Some friends and I went to smell fragrances and Gina hooked us up after we told her what scents we liked, she took us around the whole store and told us how to layer the scents and which scent works well together and with what. She even put some things in our carts online to check out later. She was extremely friendly, now I have a list of things I want to buy and plan on smelling like a snack everyday. read more

I recently ventured into Sephora, bracing myself for a whirlwind of beauty products and potential shade-matching disasters. Enter Li (Leigh? Lee?), my makeup guardian angel. She patiently guided me through the maze of options, helping me find the perfect NARS foundation and concealer. Not only did she steer me away from overhyped brands that would have left me looking like a pasty pancake, but she did it all with a smile and endless patience. I swear, Li must have a PhD in makeup because she NAILED it. If you're ever lost in the land of Sephora, look for Li. I came in to exchange extra strength Dr. DG peels pads for the universal pads and Omar was beyond helpful! He could have easily let me do an even exchange, but he walked me over to the newly released bonus pack which included the pads + moisturizer and cleanser for the same price. This type of customer service is the reason I choose Sephora time and time again. At check out Viktor (or Victor?) was bubbly and seemed genuinely excited to be there! 1 on 1 Customer service experiences are standard for Sephora and it honestly makes it EASY to spend ALL my money there. read more

I recently purchased $112 worth of cosmetics for $27 at this location. Thanks to me being a loyal user of shopkick and ibotta apps. Although $112 netted me one bottle of cologne, a lip gloss and an eyeliner you can't be mad at saving $85 on what was the beginning of your Christmas shopping. I'm sure these kinda stores have a high shoplifting ratio, but I tell you every associate in the store asked me if I needed some help. It felt like I was being stalked. I could see if I was asking someone for a specific item or requesting a makeover, but honestly, I don't need to be greeted 7 times in any store Ive ever shopped with. One thing I found odd, every Sephora store I've ever visited will make you up to 3 perfume samples on request. I asked for two. Black Opium and Versace Blue Femme and a guy that has previously asked me twice if he could help me with anything, stated he was unable to make samples because they were out of the tops to the little bottles they spray the fragrance into. I wouldn't mention this other than I visited this location twice more between my initial visit and a few days before Christmas and was given the same sorta answer each time Im some sorta Sephora beauty member so I was able to redeem some points I've earned throughout the year for some freebies at the register. A Prada perfume miniature and a Stila liquid eyeliner Lower level of the Cumberland Mall across from the Apple store. I'll come back, but mostly because Im a beauty junkie and I'll go almost anyplace to avoid the nightmare that Lenox Mall can be. read more

Went into this location to get my shade in the Fenty Foundation. The store wasn't super packed however the majority of people did have on masks. All the makeup artist salespeople had on masks and they still can help with finding your perfect shade. One of the young ladies was extremely helpful in helping with the process. I managed to get the right shade and highlight concealer for my skin. I even received a 20 percent discount off of the products. I will most definitely come back to this location whenever I'm back in the area. This place has solid customer service making it a 5/5 in my book. read more

worst customer service experience ever. Employee asked me if I was ready, she helped me with picking out my last item. Told me to use her to checkout as the registers were already shut down for the day. I went to check out with her (2 min later at most) and another employee told me they were closed. I repeated what the first employee told me to do and the lady asked her if that's what she said and she bold face said NO and walked away. The second employee checked me out with an attitude and asked someone else "can y'all let her out" to which the employees said no. HUGE variety. I was enjoying dipping and dabbing here and there. But then I realized that no one is really looking into what people are doing with the samples. I tried on some lip gloss and had to search for a different stick instead of the one that actually comes with the product ... then I quickly regreted that because I was afraid others were not as careful as I am and couldve just used the lip gloss directly. However, I was disappointed since I asked for free samples of specific products and the lady that was helping me did not do so. She gave me what she thought I should get and only gave me two of the three that I asked for. She seemed like I was bothering her, but two gay guys came up to her and she helped them right away. I'm sad that my last experience here was so shitty. I went in for my bday freebie since I was unable to go on my bday... anywho the lady I asked directed me to go to cashier and I did he was tinkering with some wheel thing and he finally acknowledged me. I'm a fan of this Sephora location because everyone is always so helpful. I like Sephora in general because I like to play around with make-up and I can do it myself here. Also, I like the Sephora brand products. They are reasonably priced and good quality. I like their liquid eye-liner best. Whenever I've gone, the place is neat and organized and that's important to me. They have a rewards programs where you can accumulate points and get something free on your birthday. This store is smaller that other locations I've visited, but they have all the necessary products. I bought the wrong product once and I really appreciated how I was able to return it and get the right thing with no problem. Customer service is great here and that's a main reason I keep going back. read more

Generally Sephoras are mixed bag but I must've caught them on a good day because the service was absolutely amazing. People were running to get me cleaners/testers, was checked up by several people inquiring about different needs, and the manager seemed like he belonged in a Rihanna vid because of his fabulous personality and nose ring. My modus operandi includes swatching at Sephora stores, and then buying the products I need online. Since they're hardly ever on sale, I just wait until I have enough for free shipping and voila, the cycle starts again. The free samples at $25 are actually kind of worth it, on top of the smaller samples you can add to your bag. read more

Cumberland Mall has upgraded very well in the past decade. Kudos to the whoever is in charge. You're doing a great job with adding on better stores and restaurants in the area. My coworker is a huge Sephora fan. I don't wear makeup much but I do know what quality makeup is an Sephora has that and much more. She wanted to purchase some items and get samples. I ran out of my Stila eyeliner so I tagged along with her to purchase another one. Sephora is located downstairs near to Michael Kors. This location is a bit smaller than Mall of Georgia and Perimeter Mall but it's okay, it had what I wanted. When my coworker said she wanted samples, I did not know that you can tell the staff what you want and they will make sure you get the samples, even if there are not small samples. For example, my coworker wanted samples of liquid foundation & hair conditioner. The staff poured in a small container, took a sharpie and wrote on a small bag what it was, then put the container in the bag. Gosh, next time, I'm doing more research and getting more samples! Even though I don't shop much at Sephora, I do have a Rewards card. It is very helpful and adding points and getting freebies. On top of that, you get a freebie on your birthday. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just happy when I'm bored at work, I can just go to Sephora during lunch. The staff is friendly and very helpful. read more

This is the newest store located in the 2nd level of Cumberland Mall. It is smaller than the Lenox store BUT the customer service here is A LOT better than the Lenox Store. So it can get crowded on the weekends and the evenings during the weekday but I think I would prefer this store over Lenox as it is more customer friendly. read more

After leaving the Macy's cosmetic department because it was as well staffed as a ghost town, my friend and I went to Sephora where we knew we would at least be greeted by an associate. In search of some good moisturizer, we bypassed all the fabulous cosmetics and headed straight to the beauty products. We were greeted immediately by an associate who introduced herself and asked what she could help us with. The last visit I had left a bad taste in my mouth. I was looking for a good powder foundation and had one of the employees help me. She was matching me for a foundation and picked the lightest shade. She put it on and said it matched perfectly. She then asked if I ever use a bronze, I said no. She told me if I want to continue to look "pastey pale" then I should go with the lightest, or I could get the next shade up for some color. Listen, I'm pale. I know it, but I'm not going to be made to feel bad about it. If she had commented on my skin and I was a different race this would be a big to do. All skin types are beautiful, who did she think she was to try to make me feel bad about my skin? I have no problem with my pale skin, this is what I was born with. Other than that remark, the store is nice. Plenty of options and not too cramped. Every other employee that I communicated with was nice. read more

Not much to write except that I have to give this location a big thumbs down. I was shouted a greeting from half way across the store from a group of gentleman. While I was browsing the samples I was turned off because of how torn up everything was. It looked as if people were poking their fingers around in the products, leaving big gashes in eye shadows and other powders. The overall messy appearance of makeup everywhere was a turn off. I walked around for awhile and wasn't approached by anybody. In my prior experiences somebody is always there to help or tell me about new products. It wasn't very busy with customers. The palette I was looking for was sold out and I would have happily bought something else if somebody came to show me some new stuff. This location held the grand opening last Friday, May 9. I missed the Kennesaw grand opening and arrived at the Perimeter opening very late so I arrived at this location at 8:00. The main door was locked. I observed a girl sitting in her car and I went to ask her if she knew which door was open. She told me she had been sitting in the mall parking lot since 7! She did leave and go to get some coffee. I went to Jason's Deli and one of the employees was nice enough to call mall security. I was informed to enter through the food court! That was my first thought! I zoomed to the food court and entered the mall! I could hear the echo of young, female, laughter through the empty mall but I did not see a line. I yelled out to the girl who was now following closely behind, I hear them but I don't see a line! When we got closer to the store it was only about 10 people waiting. I was so hyped to be one of the first few in line! We watched as over the next 90 minutes the line got longer and longer and people arrived to the mall to open the stores. At 9:00 the Sephora employees exited the store with a large red ribbon and spelled S-E-P-H-O-R-A and yelled very loudly. After the short ribbon cutting ceremony the woman started passing out the cards. I would have preferred to be able to reach into a basket and and pick my own card. It turns out I was the the last of the first few to get a $10 card! I think the first few people should have at least received $25! The two behind me received $50 and someone near the middle of the line was the first to get $100! The store was packed full of people! Everything was clean (because it was new!) and it was nice to see so many employees eager to help the happy shoppers! The store was too crowded as with most grand openings so I did not purchase anything. The store is on the smaller side for a Sephora but it is nice to have a one in between Buckhead and Perimeter. Cumberland Mall is working on attracting more customers with the Braves Stadium opening in three years so I expect to attend more grand openings of more national stores at this mall! read more

Even though I've had a bad experience previously with the customer service. The product I bought was amazing! So, I went back to purchase more product. The difference is this time the sales associate Brittany Lee was AMAZING! She was very patient & considerate of the fact that I wasn't familiar with most of their terms and techniques. Very disappointed. I came yesterday 9/25 and Makenzie assisted me in finding foundation to cover a tattoo. She was very nice but unfortunately once I walked outside the color was too dark for my skin. So I came back today 9/26 and asked to try some1 else. Now here is the issue.....I walked in and there was several people on the floor but only the cashier was able to help me find a color....she kept stopping and going back to the register to check out other people which upset me. Sephora is a booming business and you mean to tell me that while she helped me no 1 else could run the register???? I saw guys in there just walking around holding baskets...doing nothing! So after about 20min of her stopping and going back to the register I said forget it and got my money back! I will not recommend this location. All the employees in there but yet I have to wait and stop my session Bc she has to keep running to the register. read more

The associates who work at this location are very rude and unprofessional. Too much attitude and not helpful at all. Please know what you're looking for in advance because if you have to ask a question about a particular product they will speak to you in a condescending tone. It's best to know what you want in advance look for it yourself and check out, because they are way too busy having side conversations with each other to acknowledge customers who need help. read more
