Went to just get a bottle of perfume. Roxanne was very helpful. I also got free engraving on my bottles. The music playing and vibes was very lovely. I have 3 bottles and 2 purses with my purchase and still came out winning. I even received flowers with my purchase due to it was a Mother's Day special. Great buy. read more

Our experience at Macy's Cumberland Mall was extremely disappointing. We went shopping, unaware that the Macys had closed since the mall was still open. At any rate we tried to exit through the same entrance we came in, it had been locked even though our car was parked right out front. The manager said they could not re open to let us out the way we came in so we would have to walk around to the front. That would be a HARD NO. I informed management that I was unable to walk long distances, their solution was to send Security. It was 4 of us which included my 5 year old grand baby. Security said they could only transport one of us. The rest if us had to walk through a dark parking garage at night with my 5-year-old grandchild. That is completely unacceptable and unsafe. There should be better protocols in place for customer safety and accessibility after hours. To make matters worse, my daughter recently placed an online order with Macy's and paid for 2-day shipping, only to find out the items won't arrive until Monday, well past the date they were needed. Between the poor in-store experience and unreliable online service, Macy's has truly fallen short. I expected much better from a company of this reputation. read more

I haven't actually shopped in a department store for years, but here we are! On a visit to Cumberland Mall to purchase some gifts for Father's Day, my bff and I went through Macy's as we rounded out our shopping trip. I usually don't love department stores for anything beyond shoes or maybe handbags, there's just too much store for me lol. Despite their long standing place in retail history, you won't usually find me walking their aisles. Well, there comes a time for everything. I wanted to visit this particular Macy's because I had my mind set on getting my partner and our son matching Ralph Lauren polos. The store itself was incredibly neat and understandably packed seeing that we were only 1 day out from Father's Day. Employees from Macys were on their p's and q's in each department as they managed their their wares, you couldn't take a step without someone offering assistance! Especially when you're simply walking through the perfume aisle. Sometimes that can be a little annoying, but since I actually needed help this visit, I was not complaining. We ventured between the 3 floors to get from men's to the baby section and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a Ralph Lauren section in both areas so that I wasn't sorting through racks of baby clothing. Both areas had some great items to choose from, I seriously never knew that Polo had so many colors available! I finally found a pair that looked like they would work well together and we prepped to pay. The line at Polo was much longer than expected but for this holiday, great minds just think alike! I think I was only a little off put by the cashier taking too much time showing me how much I could have saved if I got a credit card that day and then seeming a little annoyed that I didn't sign up, lol. But hey, it happens! All in all, a good visit and I came out with what I went in there for - win. read more

I was pretty shocked when I visited this store last week. The last time I was in Macy's Cumberland Mall was about 7 years ago and it was very nice! Since then, a lot has changed. It appears they removed many of the nice fixtures and tables and replaced them with very generic fixtures and just really reduced the ambiance of what I considered one of the metro areas "Main Macy's" (Lenox, Perimeter, Cumberland)... I know Macy's is restructuring the company but I didn't think this location which is close to the Battery would be this bad. Half the men's store is "Macy's Backstage" and the other half has been significantly reduced. They even closed majority of the fitting rooms. The suit department didn't even have a fitting room! I'm curious whose idea that was when you have suits and dress shirts that need to be tried on. I had to walk down to the the denim section and flag down an associate. It seems like this department store caters to Women more than men and it's just sad. The women's section remains organized and clean and the Men's feels like a TJ Max/ Macy's. The staff were friendly but the store really needs to add another set of fitting rooms! I would still recommend this store but I think it's not as nice as it once was. The mall is also a shocker too. The mall got a beautiful upgrade 10+ years ago and the customer base is pretty hood. I guess it's a sign of the times but interesting as the city keeps pumping money into this area... read more

That you for reducing the price of your JQueen comforters. I was in for a pleasant surprise when I saved almost $500 on my beautiful new king sized comforter. When KT saw that I was struggling to carry it out the store, she immediately volunteered to carry it to my car on the other side of the mall. WOW! She said it's called "customer service"! Thank you so much, KT! Indeed, you exemplify above and beyond customer service! read more

If all employees are like Sandra I would come here all the time! There was probably 20 people in line and she still had the best attitude i it was almost closing which was 9 PM and she's been there since 12 noon and she still would not send anyone away. Macy's - Sandra the number one Macys employee - Department Stores Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

This Macy's is located inside of Cumberland Mall and as many mall-bound Macy's it features a few floors of merchandise. I usually park outside of Macy's anytime I head to the mall, as it never fails that at some point I will find myself heading down the escalator to the Macy's Backstage area, which is their version of clearance, that is located on the bottom floor. Additionally, all the men's clothing and shoes are on the same floor, so it all makes sense. I have come here for many things, but mostly Macy's always comes in clutch when I need a nice dress shirt, sweater or slick pair of shoes. I usually always find what I am looking for at a good price, especially shirts! Service is always top notch at this location. I don't usually get much attention on the main floor, but once I pop into the men's section and start browsing, the Associates are always making sure I am finding everything alright and then when I make my way to the register, they are equally as helpful and friendly. Overall, this is a solid Macy's. Depending on what you are looking for, things can get a bit pricey...but I have captured some good deals here and will continue to do so as long as I am in this area! read more

Don't order online with Macy's if you do buyer beware.. You can't stop your order if Macy's makes a mistake on delivery date or makes a mistake on color of item purchased. Even if you try and delete or cancel the order before shipment, even if they say it's canceled. Lies not true, even if you tell them, you just sent me an email that Item is being shipped & you canceled prior to shipping. What to do, don't shop online with Macy's go to Amazon!! Never again will I shop with Macy's & it's not the money it's the principal, Macy's on line is a scam.. read more

Super great sales people at the cosmetic counter! I've been coming here off and on for years and I honestly can't remember ever having a bad experience here. Most recently I came in to browse through their pop up Korean cosmetic shop located near the Dior perfume counter area. A friend of mine game me some Tonymoly stuff for my birthday and I really liked their stuff. I wanted to see what else they sold and I saw that Macy's also carried their stuff... I met a sales associate who was both friendly and knowledgeable about the items I was inquiring. I didn't feel any pressure to buy or for them to collect my email so that they can send me a thousand emails a day on promotions.... Thanks Macy's for a pleasant shopping experience...I'll be back next time I need more stuff... read more

This is one of the worst Macy's in Georgia. I've noticed since they got rid of the business casual dress code for their employees that customer service has been trash. It is difficult to tell the difference between who actually works there and the customers especially since no one really wants to help you. The shoe department was drastically under staffed and you had to stand In the checkout line just to try on a shoe which I was told after 10 minutes of standing and waiting for help. If it was not for needing some last minute items for an event, I would have left. Then I moved on to the jewelry counter. Not only was there very few jewelry items inside the cases or on the floor, there were no employees at any of the three jewelry counters. Myself and several others stood around waiting for help that never came. When I walked down a tad further the fine jewelry counters and watch counters all were fully staffed. I understand that things are changing and that people mostly shop online, but if you have a physical store it should be fully functional with staff and product which this location was lacking in both areas. If I can help it I will not be coming back to this Macy's. read more

This is absolutely the worse company to work for. Gina Mascia, who is Specialist, Colleague Advisory | Macy's, Inc. and Chris, who is asset protection manager at the Perimeter Mall location are two of the worse people to be hired by the company. As a new employee who is now an ex employee, worked for Macys for one month. Gina disregarded all of my concerns about how I was treated by Chris, and kept focusing on policy. This complaint claims they support employees; but in fact; they don't when you make mistakes because of poor training. This explains why they're always hiring people. Very high turnover. @macys DO BETTER! Mind you, my sales were 7-9,000 per shift that I world. read more

It's Macy's. I've found some good deals on the clearance rack for shoes. I've found some Polo items that I didn't see in other Macy's stores. The employees speak and smile at you when you come into their departments and allow you to come to them if you need assistance. Yes, there are probably better Macy's in the city, but this one is just fine on its own. And anytime I can avoid having to deal with the parking nightmare that is Lenox, I will seek it out here. They have an entire area devoted to Carol;s Daughter. I haven't seen so much floor space dedicated to the brand other than in the Carol's Daughter store. read more

This review is for the sales associate / manager at the clinique counter. I was in search of the nearest Fashion Fair counter and Google led me to Cumberland Mall. When I arrived to the cosmetics department, everything looked so nice. You know the usual cosmetic counter displays and such. However, it was my dismay to see the Fashion Fair cosmetics counter. First off I noticed an associate around for every makeup counter with the exception of FF. They counter for FF was a very small corner setup. I fumbled through the inventory trying to find a nude lipstick. I liked something that I could wear everyday when I'm casual. I also wanted some moisturizer for my sensitive skin. I read online that FF skin care line is non comedogenic. I was very interested in the product and looked around for someone to allow me to test it. Finally Tefta, the associate at the Clinique counter waled over with a beautiful smile and asked if I needed any help. I explained to her what I wanted and she rand over to the Clinique counter and grabbed tissue, alcohol and wooden sticks for me to try on cosmetics . I searched the the lipsticks and described the one I was looking for by name. She ran (literally running ) back to Clinique counter to look up the name for me on the web. She came back and showed me the lipstick from the inventory. She told me it was new from the box and I could not test it, but she wanted me to see the shade. Finally after dabbing around in FF with not FF rep, I went over to the Clinique counter with, Tefta. I began to express to her my skin care needs and she sent me home with samples to try. She told me that she has the same problems I have and she described the symptoms perfectly. Then I felt I could relate to Tefta, although we are from different ethnicities , she made feel comfortable because of her knowledge. She also explained the best shades of lipstick for me, based on my skin tone. Although I really wanted a rep from Fashion Fair cosmetics, Tefta made me feel better about my experience. It's pretty sad that Fashion Fair doesn't care enough to have someone consistently representing them. It doesn't mater whats going on behind the scenes of the business. Customers on social media talk so much about they way there isn't a rep at the FF counter. I will be purchasing the skin care from Clinique. I've been using the samples and they are working out great! Thank you Tefta, for your awesome customer service. You went over and beyond for me . Not once did you degrade the other company. You tried to help despite of. read more

This review is for the Macy's located at Cumberland Mall. I went to this Macy's during my lunch break to purchase some gifts for a wedding shower my friends were having. The couple had a gift registry set up with Macy's. I normally order wedding gifts online and have the gifts shipped directly to the bride and groom. It's faster, more convenient, and eliminates the hassle of dealing with gifts on the wedding day. In this particular instance, I decided to buy the gift in-person because: (a) the wedding shower was the upcoming weekend and I didn't want to wait on shipping and (b) I'd feel better showing up with a physical gift in-hand to the shower. As soon as I entered the store, I told a Macy's employee my objective. The employee went to a kiosk and printed out the couples' entire registry for me. It looked like a really long receipt. I browsed through the near-overwhelming list and honed in on a handful of items. The employee then accompanied me to the housewares department and I picked out a couple items to purchase. She checked me out and I was on my way with giant paper Macy's shopping bag in tow. The gift buying process was fast and efficient and most importantly, the couple was happy with the gifts I got for them. read more

Shopping inside the store, customer service is great. Unfortunately, if you are ordering furniture. Customer service is poor if you have an issue with it. I had a warranty issue regarding a furniture piece. I was given a time frame when my service rep would show up. I received an automated message stating my rep was on his way. As soon as I hung up the phone, he was already here which did not leave me enough time to quickly straighten up a few things. It only took a few seconds for me to straighten up but as soon as I opened the door the rep greets me with " You don't have spend time putting your make-up on for me" Sexist remark perhaps? I was not amused, especially since his comment did not hold truth (no make-up here). This rep enters my home without as much as a hello or even who his name is. I'm already irritated with him so I don't care to ask but I find it unprofessional not to greet your customers by introducing yourself first. I explain to the gentlemen that he needs to take off his shoes before entering my home. He states he has booties which I am fine with but what is the point of wearing booties to protect your shoes if they have holes in them? There is an issue with my furniture that appears to be outside of his control. This is just my guess because instead of explaining anything to me, he asks for my phone and contacts customer service who then explain the issue to me. While I'm on the phone with customer service, the service rep has left to his car. I'm thinking he went there to get something but no, he starts the engine and he's out. While on the phone with customer service, I place with a complaint letting them no about the rep and how I do not want him to come back out to resolve the issue; I want someone new. Next time, I will order furniture from another retailer no matter how great a deal Macy's is offering. I feel as if Macy's goes above and beyond to earn your business but they really drop the ball when service issues arise. read more

I stop by this Macy's fairly frequently as it's really close to the office and who doesn't love a lunch time shopping trip. I really enjoy this Macy's - as it seems that everything is always on sale here. More so than other Macy's that I've visited. I can always find excellent deals on clothes that I don't really need. It is not uncommon for me to pick up things for far greater than half off. The customer service here isn't the best. At times when I've legitimately needed a question answered or help finding something, there's usually no one in sight. Any other time, they're everywhere. What a conundrum. This store isn't the most well organized - probably because of the vast quantity of sale items strewn about. But overall, a great place to find a deal - which is always my primary motivation. read more

Here's the good news: The store is open until 10 PM during several nights of the week. Sometimes I go in there briefly to pick-up replacements for my facial care and make-up products. But there's a price to pay for this convenience. As the store moves toward closing, let's say after 9 PM, you will have your own personal security person who stays in your vicinity. They wear red shirts that say "Security", so it's hard to miss them. And since there are fewer customers in the store after 9:00, there are enough security people to provide individualized attention. The security people are not trying to hide the fact that they're essentially stalking you. Once, I saw one of them say something into his walkie-talkie as I opened an exit door. I guess he was reporting that his assigned person had left the premises. Maybe he needed a new person to stalk......... I'm African-American. So this might be a simple offense of Shopping While Black. Needless to say, I'm deeply offended. I've worked too hard in my life to actually buy the stuff they sell in the store. The snub is harrowing...... read more

The customer service is a little better at this location. This associate was once flirting with me and gave me a HUGE discount on my entire purchase. I was really happy :). We talked about the overall look and feel for my wedding and he did an excellent job making me feel special. Although the clothing is great, the service inside this store is subpar unfortunately. Having shopped at Macy stores at other locations, I've always had a positive experience. At this store, finding staff is hard. The last time I went in, I went looking for a dressing room on my own. Obviously this must have looked suspicious to someone in the store, as an employee walked up to me eventually to ask me if I needed help. Apparently, I was near the ladies area, to which the store employee sternly told me to go to the other side of the store, and that I wasn't allowed to use the women's changing room. Never saw the female changing room, but apparently I must have given the impression I wanted to use it. I was just wanted help. This experience turned me off on this store. read more

Can somebody help me?!? Macy's is closing 68 stores in 2017. Perhaps, unbeknownst to my friend and I, the Cumberland Macy's was already closed. If you enjoy standing around in the cosmetic department of a major department store wondering where all the staff might be hiding, then go to Macy's at Cumberland. My friend was interested in purchasing some Clarins products that I had been raving about. Unfortunately, the Clarins counter and most of the other bays were empty. Macy's used to provide fair customer service, so I expected to be approached by someone in the department; however, the only counters that were staffed were Clinique and MAC. I was tempted to go behind the counter to search for the products myself, but we decided to go to Sephora instead where we were provided with excellent service and we both spent over $200 on product. read more
