I'd been dealing with some pretty stubborn acne scars for a while. The team at Renew came up with a treatment plan that would give me the best improvement, and I've seen a big difference in my skin. The scarring is much less noticeable now, and in some areas, now undetectable. In addition to addressing texture issues, they very naturally rejuvenated my appearance with a touch of Juvéderm fillers (a collection of HA fillers with different textures used to address a number of concerns like facial laxity, improved definition and structure, and just overall rejuvenation.) This gave me a refreshed look and I absolutely love seeing the improvement. It makes me feel so much more confident. Honestly, overall I am really impressed with their knowledge, skill and how they specialize in pigmented skin. I always feel safe with Dr. Sethi and Nurse Kat. They even have a skincare line dedicated to skin of color, including a coconut cleanser that basically does the job of my cleansing oil/regular cleanser combo but with one less step. I had a really friendly aesthetician named Lex. She was friendly, talkative and even gave me a count down during pulls. Lex shared that's she's been waxing for two years and gave me some useful tips, products I can use to prevent ingrown, exfoliate and lighten up the bikini area. What I didn't like: I'm not sure the type of wax was being used, maybe it wasn't warm enough but because it didn't feel like a smooth application. Even after the clean up, I came home to bits of wax on me and my panties. The wax didn't seem to grip of pull (maybe because I have deep roots idk) I did an inspection of service and felt patches of hair were I didn't want them. I want to go ahead and blame the wax and not the service provider. I'll go back and book with the same aesthetician at a later time and see if the wax product was the culprit.

But I don't agree with Jamie's decision. I came here for a wax last week, which was alright. It was $75, & I don't think the quality of the results was worth that much. This is a single person owned & operated business. I asked about product for my breakouts & she recommended a product that was $43, & I bought it. I tried it once, & it was very drying & I do not think I can use it on my skin. I text her today (her preferred method of contact per her website & voicemail), being honest & saying I tried it & it won't work for me, & she replied that she doesn't take returns on used product. If you choose to sell products, especially skin care, you need to operate like any other business & let customers return their product, especially after 1 week! It is a cost of doing business. Unfortunately, I believe this decision is more costly, as she lost a client. Update: I ended up with stubble growing out within a week of having my wax, and bad ingrowns to follow. She talked nonstop during my wax, and I know now she wasn't concentrating at all at what she was doing. I am very upset I paid $75 for this wax. The other part to this story is that she talked so much upon check out that she only charged me for the wax. I had to remind her to charge me for the product, & we did a separate transaction for it, since she forgot! So, I almost walked away with free product, due to her negligence, but I was honest. And yet I was unable to return the product that she forgot to charge me for, and she just stopped replying to me after I asked very nicely for a refund.
