Johanna was either going to make this an amazing experience or brake it for me. As soon as I walked in Johanna greeted me with a friendly warm smile. Right away making me feel comfortable and relaxed. She asked me if I had ever been waxed before and made sure she explained in detail what I should expect. Made sure I understood this was my body and if at anytime I decided not to proceed to just let her know. She went over basic breathing exercises and I won't lie as comfortable as she made me feel, I was still terrified. After she pulled the 1st strip the process went nice and smooth. I will definitely be back, I definitely recommend everyone to see Johanna, specially for all those who have never been wax and are terrified. Your 1st time should always be with a person who take their time to make sure you are as comfortable as possible and provide you with all the information you need during and after the process. My belly strip was also done perfectly, so I decided to come back. Today, I came in really excited but also nervous because I already knew the pain that comes with waxing. I got Tanya, and honestly, I'm not sure what was going on with her, but she seemed bothered or upset. When she came to go grab me from the front, I greeted her and she looked me up and down. Right away, I didn't feel very comfortable. She didn't really talk to me unless I asked her a question. I asked her some questions about the place and making an appointment, and she kept saying things like "I got you," but honestly, I didn't feel like she did. After the service, I noticed there was still hair left around my lips, my perineum area, and the left side of my butt strip. She had me get on my knees so she could get the hair, which I was completely okay with, but she still didn't get the left side or any hair on my butt. It honestly felt like she didn't really get my butt strip at all. I'm not saying this because I expected anything extra. I'm saying it because when you pay $80 for a wax, you expect the service you paid for to be completed. I shouldn't have to point out every area that still has hair. Also, when you're getting a wax, you're already in a very vulnerable position. You're basically completely exposed, so I feel like the person doing your service should make you feel comfortable and respected. My first experience was good because the person made me feel comfortable, even though I was nervous. This time, I didn't feel that same comfort at all. I also still gave Tanya a $10 tip, which honestly makes me feel even more frustrated because I paid $80 and still left with hair. Like ugh, I wanted to leave bald, not halfway bald. I originally clicked "Any Specialist" when I booked, so they assigned me whoever was available. If you do the same, good luck getting Tanya . Honestly, I would recommend looking at the specialists and choosing someone based on what people say about them instead of letting them select someone for you. I personally wouldn't book with Tanya again.

I did know that I still had wax passes left from my old EWC, and I was in need of a wax. So, I went on the site and checked out all of the reviews first. The main name I seen on there was Nikki's and her reviews were awesome, so I booked with her. Let me tell you, she's freaking amazing!! She made sure I was comfortable and very professional. This lady waxed me so good and wasn't scared to get in there and get the stubborn hairs... okaaaay, she got them all!! From that day, that's been the ONLY PERSON that have waxed me. Before finding out she was moving on to greater things(becoming her OWN Boss), I had renewed my passes @ EWC. She was gentle, yet affective and also gave good advice for how to maintain my skin afterwards. The next time I went to her, I scheduled a Consultation + Acne Facial because I've been breaking out really bad and the salon I was going to previously wasn't helping much in clearing my acne. The consultation was very thorough and Kia gave so much knowledge on how acne works and why my face wasn't clearing up despite all the expensive products I was buying. The facial included cleansing, a peel, extractions, LED mask, and then acne gel and sunscreen. All (or I think a majority of) the products she used during the facial, she actually sells in her salon. The products smelled so good and I felt comfortable with her using them on me because the ingredients didn't have any comedogenics. I explained that it was my first Brazilian wax. The service was discounted by half, so I spent $41.50 (including tip). I was also given a comprehensive breakdown of the entire process, including specific rules, especially when booking future appointments with European Wax Center. In this visit, I was served by Zoe. She was such an incredible wax specialist! We were both laughing and having a great time in our conversation. Because of this, it took less focus away from the waxing process itself. In essence, the entire waxing wasn't as painful as I anticipated. It definitely helped that I took Tylenol before the appointment, too. All in all, I had an extremely positive experience. I want to express my gratitude, especially to Zoe, for making it comfortable. I will definitely return here in the future.

I called to let them know I would be 7 mins late. I was told if I was past 9 mins I couldn't be taken. Okay No problem. When I arrived I was not greeted and she didn't even look up to acknowledge me. I sat there for a couple minutes , then I needed to use the restroom due to a girl emergency. I told her I'll be right back. I see my waxer (Rattana) in the hall and she ignores me and shuts her door. When I come back out the front desk tells me I can't be seen bc I'm past 9 minutes even though I was there before the 9 minutes. She told me there were no more apts for the rest of the day. I told her okay let me rebook on the app. They did have appointments ... so I rebooked for a hour later with a different waxer. When I come back she didn't check me in again or even acknowledge me. My prior waxer saw me again while I went to check out and ignored me again .. so weird considering the past 8 appointments she cried about her bf breaking up with her while she waxed me ..seems like they only care about themselves and not their clients. Then the front desk calls me to ask if I have any negative or positive feedback about my last apt.. umm that's awkward when it's the same front desk girl who completely lacked professionalism and good communication.. Why didn't they have someone else call? I made a formal complaint to corporate and never heard from anyone .. I'll never be back to this location.

Obviously sometimes these things can be uncomfortable and nerve racking but from my first time getting waxed by Bella she made me feel as if I was going in for a quick hangout with a friend. She is excellent at her craft! The studio is extremely cute but even better it's clean and affordable, and the quality and care are all there as well. I definitely recommend!!
