I'd been dealing with some pretty stubborn acne scars for a while. The team at Renew came up with a treatment plan that would give me the best improvement, and I've seen a big difference in my skin. The scarring is much less noticeable now, and in some areas, now undetectable. In addition to addressing texture issues, they very naturally rejuvenated my appearance with a touch of Juvéderm fillers (a collection of HA fillers with different textures used to address a number of concerns like facial laxity, improved definition and structure, and just overall rejuvenation.) This gave me a refreshed look and I absolutely love seeing the improvement. It makes me feel so much more confident. Honestly, overall I am really impressed with their knowledge, skill and how they specialize in pigmented skin. I always feel safe with Dr. Sethi and Nurse Kat. I got the works on my face, which started with a brow and lip wax. She was all up on me, making sure to get every little unwanted hair. Amazing! Yes! We chatted thru the waxing, having a good 'ole time. Ripping out someone's unwanted facial hair and being paid to do it is always so much fun, I'm sure! Once she was done, it was time to relax. As soon as those lights turned off and my eyes closed, all talking ceased. Chelsey and I have been friends for a while, but I loved that she let me relax while she did her thing. No talking! Huge plus! She used this tool thing that vibrated-massaged my face all while exfoliating. I've never experienced that before and it was awesome. She uses Dermalogica products. I have had facials before where I left still feeling like my skin was clogged and heavy. This was the first facial in a long time where my skin really felt deep-cleaned and detoxed, which is what my goal was. I have sensitive skin. During previous facials, estheticians have used products that burned or stung my skin when applied. None of these products did that, even after being waxed. The second time, two different students worked on my hair. I showed them peekaboo hair photo references for inspo. They bleached the bottom half of my hair all the way to the roots. I assumed the roots would be blended from dark to light, but I ended up with completely bleached roots instead. My hair looks more like a skunk than soft blonde highlights. I get that it's a risk letting students work on real hair, and I knew the results might not be exactly what I wanted. So just go in knowing that and use at your own risk.
