First of all you have to call the owner to let her know we were there, at first she was kind and she did let us try on a lot of wigs - I ended up buying one I liked but she actually made my partner bleed when she took the wig off of them, felt like she was really frustrated with us or some external situation given that she called her boyfriend and started yelling at him in front of us... but she hurt my partners eyebrow piercing and it started bleeding and she didn't apologize for that, made us feel forced to buy something. I get that we were there for a while but we did go in with the intention of purchasing. I actually regretted my purchase due to her behavior towards us.

While I was waiting, something seemed to come up and she was speaking quietly with another coworker. I completely understand that unexpected things can happen. After waiting for a while, I finally asked her for an update. Her response felt impatient, and she told me she couldn't take me in because the doctor was still with another patient. I had no problem waiting, but I would have appreciated being told that rather than being left standing there expecting to be taken in. What bothered me more was that once a room became available, she called another person in ahead of me, even though that person was still completing their paperwork while I had already finished mine. For me, the bigger issue is professionalism. Front desk staff are often the first point of contact with patients, and I expect patients to be treated with courtesy, consistency, and professionalism regardless of personal feelings or preferences. Staff should not use the small amount of discretion they have--such as deciding who is called in first--in a way that makes a patient feel singled out or dismissed. Unfortunately, after waiting for so long without a clear update, and then seeing another patient taken in ahead of me, I could no longer continue waiting and had to leave without being seen. That is what made this experience particularly disappointing. That shouldn't be necessary for a patient trying to manage their healthcare. More importantly, this situation caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety and has negatively impacted my health. I already deal with high blood pressure, and this experience elevated it further, which is both troubling and unacceptable when seeking medical care.
