This review is in hopes of saving someone's lips, this is my experience and now my on going insecurity . I do not wish to get a response or a call from the "Doctor " of this office nor his employees considering how unpleasant his responses are to the previous bad reviews. I first came to Lucent Cosmetics in 2019 where I met with the doctor and had a full syringe of filler all at once . His consultation and treatment were all done within about 10-15 min . No numbing at all... and not once did he go over possible side effects or in detail of filler. Being new to injectables and thinking I could simply trust the fact that he was a medical professional I just did what any new person to injectables would do , go with the flow . Now years later and after having to see multiple injectors who either won't inject me or can only recommend dissolving my lips am now having to see a plastic surgeon to clean up my "botched" lips. My lips were perfectly fine before filler, I wish I would have gone to an experienced injector from the beginning who would have been honest with me and told me it would have been best to start with half a syringe considering my lips were new to filler and thin as well. I'm posting my before filler lip photos , after getting filler with the doctor and sending him the exact photo of what my lips look like after he injected ( which by the way he had me come in punctured my lips and squeezed out the filler and injected more with once again , no numbing cream !!) and photos of what my lips look like now . My lips are now full of what I can describe as craters, holes , and dents . If I could go back in time I definitely would. I'm now having to heavily edit my personal photos due to these obvious imperfections and also very insecure to make a lot of the facial expressions which you can see on the photos bring out the horrific results of the filler with this location . Please go to medical professional who see you as a patient and will book you for a full hour to go over risks and adverse reactions . Look for a lot of the red flags that I as a new patient completely missed with this practice . And of course the owner responds with an excuse and blames it on the "so many plastic surgeons that have touched my lips " as I clarified to the doctor who sent me a private message , absolutely no plastic surgeon has touched my lips yet I am HAVING TO SEE A PLASTIC SURGEON TO FIX THIS DOCTORS MESS. I loooovvveee this place. Prices are reasonable and the doctor is amazing! I went in because I had very bad fillers done in my under eyes. When I got them done they had bruised for about 2 months. They were wayyy overly done and one side had more filler than the other one. I wore my glasses for months trying to cover them up. It wasn't until one of my coworkers asked me if someone had beat me up that I decided I could no longer take it (at about 5-6 months after injections) and I began to look for a place to dissolve them. I messaged the RN that had done them for me and she wanted to charge me 100$ to dissolve them to which I thought it was crazy because she did such a terrible jog. So, I called Lucent Cosmetics and they got me in right away. The doctor told me that I shouldn't have bruised and that she had definitely hit veins when she did them. He dissolved them for me that day and I had no bruising what so ever and only one tiny red dot in my under eye that went away within a day. I have now gone back to get my smile lines fill and he did an amazing job!! No bruising what so ever or down time. They are even and I love it. Now I'm looking forward to going back and doing a couple of treatments. Completely satisfied with my lips and Botox last month in July. I wanted to wait to see my full results and to see if my lips deflated or not, which did not happen. Juvederm and Botox was done by an MD. He was very nice and made me feel comfortable. Numbing cream cost a little extra and he did ask for payment before procedure. Terrible scheduling. Called last week to get an appointment and was scheduled for 4:15pm today. Called at 3:45pm to let them know I was running a bit late but no one had answered...odd. I left a VM thinking they were busy anyways. Got there by 4:20pm. Door was locked and lights were off but the TV was still on and the lamp inside. I knocked and waited a few minutes to see if anyone would answer the door. Nothing. A called again and the gentleman answered and said "what time was your appointment?" I said "4:15. I called to give a heads up half an hour ago but no one answered". All he said was "That's probably why. Want to reschedule?" NO! My appointment was blatantly forgotten and they had closed early for the day. No ownership of that fact. If I have the decency to call and let you know about running a bit behind, there should be equal decency in reaching back out to me if that was the scenario No thank you... In addition, the business replied to my review below. How can you say that I had missed an appointment and the business closed within a small 5 minute window then say that you thought my appointment was at 4? My call was not answered and my VM was not heard because my appointment was forgotten and the office was already closed. Based on the text message below, you can clearly see the issue was not on my end, as I had clearly made sure to make the appointment for AFTER 4pm. It's just blatant error of scheduling on their end. See the difference between being 5 mins late vs. 20 mins late if it were scheduled correctly in the first place? Today I received my first PRP vampire facial. I found this special on Groupon but bought the facial directly from the office, and they honor the Groupon price of $285. I was greeted by the Dr. and three desk girls and taken immediately back into my treatment room. Because of the mixed reviews about Dr jeunesse I didn't know what to expect, but he was very friendly and informative. I I know a lot about skin and ask a lot of in depth questions but he didn't seem to mind. First the doctor takes two vials of blood and takes it to a different room to be spun in what I assume is a centrifuge. Numbing cream is applied in about 10 minutes later the serum vials come back. Next one of the girls in the office puts the serum on your face and immediately uses a dermapen to puncture the skin so that this serum enters deep into your epidermis. Epidermis is NOT where collagen is formed. It is a very top layer of your skin and most of it is dead. That is why you have to have your doctor come in and inject serum into the dermis of your skin, or you will not receive the collagen boosting benefits of PRP. Don't be fooled, the epidermis is the window dressings but the important work needs to be done in the dermis. Doctor asked me if I wanted to have the dermal injections done this time. I don't even know why that was a question. It should just be done every time. It's the same price and since my goal is to have nice plump collagen why would I say no to that? That was the only part I thought was a little weird and like I was being rushed. The doctor did five injections on either side of my face at the cheekbones the nasolabial lines the marionette area the chin. I paid $20 extra to have a peptides/ synthetic stem cell mask placed over my skin for 20 min afterwards, supposedly to help heal your super punctured skin at a faster rate. Now it is the same night and I'm very puffy and pink, both which are fine and expected. I will update my review as my face heals. read more
