Wanted to try a new KBBQ spot, and we landed on this place. It was clean and decorated nicely, but absolutely empty. We think the reason why was because the prices for what you get was lacking in the value department. We got the small combo, choosing the short rib, and the meat was all decent, but quantity for the $79 price tag was lacking. Pickled cucumbers were probably our favorite part, and the service was good, since we legit were the only people in there the whole time we were there, which was sad. Won't be back because of the value, BUT if you do end up going, check out the Super Irvine Market in the parking lot. Fire new middle eastern super market.

High quality meats. The short ribs were heavily marbled and nice and tender. There was no one else in the restaurant throughout our dinner on a Sunday night. Beef tongue was cut on the slightly thicker side compared with most kbbq places although the portion seemed pretty small for the price. Enjoyable experience and a great option for non-ayce kbbq

Another cozy kbbq spot in OC. Ordered the beef combo which came with an assortment of three cuts cooked for you right at the table-boneless short rib, briskets, and choice of rib finger. Came in a large and small. They also have pork combos and beef/pork combos. They all came with a choice of soy bean paste or kimchee stew. We chose the soy bean paste stew. And just like the Korean way we had to order cold noodle to share to wash it all down. Overall good choice for kbbq. Meat was tender and good quality. Didn't try any alcoholic beverages so unable to comment this time. But will let you all know the next time I visit.

Awesome Korean BBQ spot, the food was amazing the staff was great. The restaurant decor is more minimalist style but nice. The night we were there they were not very busy so we got extra attention. We had the beef and pork combo large, which was the perfect amount for the three of us.

    Meat Combo. Awesome.

The quality of the meat here is outstanding - fresh, beautifully marbled, and presented so "nice". Every bite was tender and flavorful, and the ban chan complemented it perfectly. Service was a bit to be better. but Dinner rush - that in understandable. I wish the table top individual ordering system was up and running, which would help the servers and increase customers at-ease experience level. Definitely one of the best Korean BBQ spot in Irvine.. I will be back for sure when I am around, craving for an authentic Korean Quality BBQ.

We had very good service at Seoul N Spirits. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was good and we plan to go back.

Quality Korean BBQ! Instead of AYCE, they focus on premium cuts of high quality meat that the employees grill to perfection right before your eyes. The service, presentation and food is impeccable! My jaw literally dropped to the floor when they brought out the Beef and Pork set (Large) we ordered. Just peep the picture below to see this masterpiece! All of their sets include rice, your choice of soybean or kimchi stew and refillable side dishes (banchan). You can order the meat a la carte, but I think the sets are a better value. The kimchi stew was really soothing and warmed us right up! The banchan was authentic and plentiful. Love that they offer fish cakes, kimchi, broccoli, potato salad, radish and even green onion kimchi! Highly recommend ordering the cheese corn and steamed egg, which even came topped with lots of cheese - definitely unique to this place! Loved the ambiance, as we didn't have to wait long to get seated in a booth, which was private, relatively quiet and well-ventilated. Will definitely be back, as we were highly pleased by the quality and taste of the food, as well as our whole experience. I only hope they read this and also consider adding rice paper to the menu!

Seoul N Spirits BBQ is a good choice for Korean BBQ, but I wouldn't call it "the best Korean BBQ in town" as advertised. They also claim to serve the finest cuts of meat, but I've had better at both Baekjeong and Marble Steakhouse also in Irvine. I read a few Yelp reviews and I def felt like some of the 5-star reviews were misleading bc I didn't share the same dining experience. The restaurant can be found in a plaza at the intersection of University Drive and Michelson Drive, and they do accept reservations. We ordered the Large Beef & Pork Combo which includes choice of Sirloin or Boneless Short Rib, Brisket, Short Rib Steak, Pork Belly and Pork Jowl. We were told it feeds 3-4 people. Our favorite by far was the Short Rib Steak, but I noticed cuts like the Brisket were too fatty and Pork Jowl was too lean. All combos are served with soybean soup, banchan and sauces. We also supplemented our meal with Steamed Eggs which I recommend. This is a full-service restaurant, so you can expect the staff to cook the meats in front of you. From a service perspective, it would be best described as mixed. We had different staff members servicing our table, and some were definitely friendlier than others. At times, it wasn't the easiest to track down a server. For the price, I'd prefer to go to Marble or Baekjeong but Seoul N Spirits is still a solid choice for KBBQ in Irvine.

I discover this new amazing Korean BBQ with premium quality meat and late open hour until 11pm. Come with me! Highlights of the menu: 1. Boneless short rib 2. Pork jowl 3. Kimchi jjigae 4. Spicy stir-fried squid 5. Clam stew 6. Soju - of course!

Ask the Community - Seoul N Spirits BBQ

Do they still have lunch specials?

They don't offer lunch specials anymore. They do offer a la carte items below $20.

Is this all you can eat?

No, but there are specific combos you purchase which gives enough to get just as full

    Do they take reservations?

Yes, they do. I actually reserved a spot in their private room for a company meeting.

You can tell this place has a strong base of regulars too, I saw a mix of friend groups and families casually walking in like it's their go-to spot. We ordered the cold noodles combo with jokbal (pork hock) for $30.95. Portion wise, it's SOLID for two people. The cold noodles were refreshing and really hit the spot, especially if you like that clean, slightly tangy flavor. The jokbal was very decent. Not bad, but if you've had it in Korea, you'll notice it doesn't quite hit the same level still totally "usable," just not standout. Value, this is where they win. We got full off just one combo, which is rare these days. Plus, all the usual Korean side dishes are complimentary, and they also served a warm bone broth at no extra cost. I've honestly never had that offered like this before, and it made the whole meal feel extra comforting and homey. Small detail, but I also appreciated that the table was already fully set up with bowls, utensils, and water which makes everything efficient. Overall, really solid experience. It actually gave me a bit of that Seoul nostalgia, which is hard to replicate. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.

I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes out!

Best decision of my late night misadventures in a long time! It was very filling (you could probably order one item and split it or have plenty of food for leftovers the next day), it's not inexpensive but it's great value (but then again $20 for a meal out is kind of going rate standard so maybe it is inexpensive or comparable to most anything else you could choose?), and it's great quality. The soup is a combo meal that comes with rice, glass noodles, fish cakes in sauce, and kimchi. You can also modify the spice level to make it more mild or spicy depending on your preference. I don't know why I am so obsessed with the soup but I'm going to think about it for a while because I was 100% lost in the sauce while eating it - after you get halfway you can put the rice, part of the kimchi, and (maybe) the fish cakes in the soup so it gets closer to porridge and break up some of the blood sausage to mix it throughout. Service is friendly and can recommend different things to eat. I got my order as takeout but the dining atmosphere is really good for how close each table is to one another. Everyone still has enough space to be on their own but because you're closer together it kind of feels communal.

The other day, I took my father there again just to see if anything had improved, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The service was still really bad. We ordered one of the specials from the menu, and nobody informed us that ordering the special meant it would not include the usual side dishes. This was very poor communication on their part. They should clearly mention that in the menu before customers order. Instead, after we ordered, they told us that the side dishes were not included.
