    Salmon Sashimi
    Thomas M.

I stopped into Crazy Rock 'N Sushi today for lunch, and I was not disappointed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was cozy and clean with Madonna playing on the stereo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was fast and friendly, with everyone helping out with bringing food and the check. I ordered the Tuna Tacos for an appetizer, yum! Three tacos came out on a bed of panko flakes. The tuna was served on light and delicately crisp shells, drizzled with Japanese mayo. Next was the trio of salmon sashimi, thick cut, and buttery. Lastly, I ordered the House Roll - Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and avocado wrapped with cucumber Served with House sauce. It was a delightful lunch! I will be back to try more rolls and appetizers. Enjoy!

Didn't love the sushi. The lunch special is good value for sure but sushi just didn't taste that great- tasted like Lower end pre-frozen fish recently defrosted (vs fresh sashimi I am usually used to). Service was also particularly slow (it was a 2 pm weekday lunch, only other 2 tables were occupied when we arrived). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Space is cozy and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . I would not go back.

Soooo disappointed so bad. Ordered take out. First off, I ordered the Mango Salmon roll because of what it has listed: Salmon avocado and cream cheese. It was only salmon and mango. The salmon tasted of nothing special at all. Next I got spicy tuna crispy rice that truly tasted awful I couldn't even finish it :/ The spicy tuna tasted fishy beyond belief. Super upset by misleading menu/ingredients and fish that tasted like it went bad

It was pretty average. Better than grocery market sushi quality. Several of the rolls had shifted over in the container. It's a convenient delivery option for a quick sushi fix. The menu had variety.

The sushi chef gave the recommendation of the spider roll and it was unbelievable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was very clean and organized.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm definitely coming back

Good experience! This was a unique one. Started off a little rough as they seemed very understaffed, but they came through. My spouse and I felt like things were lagging and it took us a long time to get our edamame we ordered. We couldn't tell if they were just incredibly behind or if they gave our edamame to the wrong tables, but it got to the point where we were about 90% done with our dinner and then they finally brought it out. The staff had good intuition because low-key I was getting a little frustrated, but without even asking they comped it for us and we're incredibly attentive for the remainder of the night. I really appreciate things like that. Overall, their rolls are quite large. Between myself and my spouse, we ordered 3 rolls and couldn't finish it. 2 could of sufficed but 3 ended up being more variety. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'd come back here again, it's a chill spot and it doesn't seem overly fancy or bougie which I appreciate as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food was so good and the servings were big. Like the prices definitely reflect what you get. Also Pam WASSSS AMAZINGGGG. She was extremely kind and helpful over the phone. Decent sushi place with solid dishes. My friend and I came here for lunch on a Sunday. We came right at opening so there was no wait! The restaurant itself is spacious with table and bar seating. The menu is large with many rolls, appetizer, and entree options. I got a sashimi salad ($15), my friend got the chirashi ($30), and shared an albacore roll ($16). We also got a hot tea. The hot tea came out cold first but the waiter was nice and did not charge us for the 2nd one. Albacore roll had a citrus sauce, a little too much red onions on it but a lighter roll. Sashimi salad had decent amount of sashimi and light dressing. Not the best sashimi but filling and a solid meal. My friend liked her chirashi but said there was too much rice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall a family oriented eatery with large portions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would love to try the sashimi my next visit!

    Mixed Tempura

We're enjoyed the food a lot! The portions are surprisingly big and the service is great. We had crunchy roll, mango salad, mixed tempura, crunchy baked salmon and tons crispy rice- everything was great. Highly recommended.

    11. Salmon Avocado Roll

Enjoyed our meal. The sunrise roll was great and the fish was fresh. We will be back.

Highly recommend the chicken katsu and tonkatsu. Portion sizes are huge and you will get full! The sets come with miso soup, shredded cabbage salad, and 2 small sides (yellow radish and marinated jalepeno). The katsu was so crispy, and the chicken katsu was still juicy and tender in the middle. I love that you can add a 4 piece California roll or curry to make it a combo. Service was fast and quick, with our server checking in for more water or if there was anything else we needed. The only downside is the wait, especially for Sunday lunch. Our party of 5 probably waited close to 45 minutes to be seated. The restaurant is small and the tables are meant for parties of 2-4. Anything more than 4, and I would recommend going to another restaurant or visiting during off hours. Katsu isn't usually top of my list when I'm hunting for places to eat, but man, I know I'll be back here multiple times over. 10/10 highly recommend.

There is always a waitlist (even on monday afternoon) but we have never waited longer than 15-30min. Service is efficient and friendly. The crowd generally seems to be young and vibrant and makes Hako a nice lively place to have a filling lunch. Cheese Katsu (with curry) (5/5): this is always a hit with us. The cheese pull goes crazy and it is a large reason we always return! We love the curry as well! Hire Katsu (2/5): sad to say this one was a bit of a disappointment. I wish we had taken a picture but the pork had been pounded extremely thin to the point where i only really tasted the panko. To my knowledge, this was supposed to be a more premium cut since it's more expensive than the other pork katsu. I never judge anything based off of value, but this was dry and burnt to a crisp ): From the side profile of the cut, it appeared that one layer of batter and panko was thicker than the meat itself. So far, we have had more good experiences than not at Hako, and prefer not to let this particular experience deter us from returning again. We hope future trips will prove to us otherwise, but until then, as for the quality of our meal, I hope this can be looked into.
