Pro: moderate size parking lot, fast staff, BBQ & Hotpot option, clean interior. Con: no iPad, waiter didn't change out cooking grill. Wanted to try this place and finally had time to stop in. Parking lot is moderate size so no issue finding a parking space. After being seated we decided to go with just the BBQ option but you can have both bbq and hotpot. The meat quality was only decent but not high grade. The mango smoothie tasted pretty good. Our waiter was nice and did check in from time to time but our cooking grill was getting black and he didn't change it out. I see other waiter who are proactively changing out other customer cooking grill. All in all, this place was just ok and I don't see us coming back here again in the future.

Did someone say AYCE dinner for $31.99 pp? Was I disappointed? Absolutely not. Don't limit yourself to just the Korean bbq, you can get the hotpot, too! We came at 6pm on a Friday and were sat immediately. The restaurant was busy, but I'm kind of glad as it was my first time here, and a local kindly gave me the rundown when in line for sauces. Staff were super quick to bring items out (pick 5 at a time) and quick to clean up. You really can't go wrong with KBBQ, unless you've never been before --you're the one cooking! Will 100% be back!

We were recommended this place and are so glad we gave it a try! My partner is on a diet, so we were looking for something fun but still on the healthier side--and the all-you-can-eat hot pot was perfect. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and we felt satisfied after just two rounds. I also tried the passionfruit soju mule, and wow--such a fabulous cocktail! For dessert, we went with boba and were pleasantly surprised when a little robot delivered it to our table. Definitely gave us a laugh. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was great, and the price was very reasonable for what you get. Bonus points for cleanliness--I even checked under the hot plate and it was spotless, which really matters to me. We'll absolutely be back, and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and tasty experience!

Seoul was a great kbbq/hotpot restaurant, though a little pricy! The all you can eat lunch was $22 for both the hotpot and grill, but it covered everything including the kimchi and sides you could order off the menu.

Great experience with my first time at hot pot. The all you can eat was less than 30 per person. Ambience is great. Service was easy and accommodating.

Controlled chaos cuisine. Korean BBQ-- long absent from C'ville-- is here, with gusto. You get a mass of food, all at once. One Price for a feast. Choose a certain number of appetizers, choose your hotpot soup base (spicy= good), your 5 meats and or vegetables, and.... your two items for BBQ(soicy bulgogi and short ribs). The menu is reminiscent of the giant laminated delis of Miami, gone past. Luckily, our Virgil, 'Owen' was a super guide for all. Then, a flood of dishes arrive at once and you are cooking, boiling, poaching, bbq-ing, replenish dip sauces, etc. It's an active dinner. It's certainly different from, say, the Korean BBq of fairfax, or seoul-- business adjusted to match the food for all (you can eat) appetites. We could absolutely not imagine getting more food that first round (and we skipped the appetizers). Lotta food. Lotta good. Best with a gang, to fill your booth. Finally. Some K BBq, in c'ville.

If you are looking for looking for good quality meats, great banchans, a waiter that cooks for you then this is not your spot. Seoul Korean has amazing service, the waiters were so nice and attentive. Everything else about this place did not do it for me. They had the most random banchans, not the usual that you would get at an authentic Korean restaurant. Their kimchi was yellow instead of orange, I didn't even bothering tasting it cause I was terrified. My partner said it was "okay" Btw, all the side dishes are self served. The meat quality was so bad. I will say their marinated meats were flavorful. The rice wasn't sticky and it looked like old rice based on the appearance and how hard it was on the surface. It looked like rice that has been exposed to open air for a while. I also didn't eat bother eating that. The waiter doesn't cook for you which some people might not mind but I prefer someone to cook at an AYCE, so I can actually enjoy my food.. especially if I'm going to pay $33 per person. I spent most of my time cooking, only to leave hungry. The meat portions they brought out were so small considering we had a group of 5.

New restaurant in Charlottesville. Nice location & great ambiance. Customer service is good and food is delivered quickly. The food is 8/10. The only downfall to this is you're only allowed 5 items at a time from each of the menu. If you have a big appetite, this can feel as if you're limited. Very good experience for a local KBBQ overall.

I would say in general the food is pretty high quality probably a 4-5/5 stars but the staffs friendly service definitely makes this a 5 star experience to dine here. Our server was personable and friendly and did an awesome job. The hosts were also very nice and someone else working I think likely the manager came to check on us as well and everyone was so so nice. We felt so welcomed. The service definitely takes it up a notch. The ambiance is modern and trendy and feels elevated. My partner noted how cute all of the utensils and bowls were lol. For the food we got the combination A for 2 which is basically just like the cheapest combo option for 2 people. We hadn't been before so we didn't feel the need to try something with more bells and whistles yet but likely would in the future. The combo A comes with 4 meats that are cooked one after another. You're served all your sides to start and the server can refill these while you eat. For two people, it is a LOOOTT of food. The banchans included broccoli (3/5) just kinda plain), pickled daikon (4/5), pickled collared greens (5/5), kimchi (2/5 - sorry, I like mine spicier!!), cucumber kimchi (4/5), pickled bean sprout (5/5) - and that's on top of the steamed rice, salad (5/5), egg soufflé (4/5), stew (5/5) and cheese corn (5/5). As you can tell, the majority of the sides were unbelievably delicious and well prepared. Each side is made in house and really only the broccoli felt kinda plain and even that had some sort of sesame oil on it. So none of the sides are just plain veggies you're getting fully seasoned carefully crafted food and LOTS of it. As for the meats, we thought they were quite good and went from our least favorite to our most. We started with the thinly sliced fatty beef brisket which, to be honest, was quite dry and a bit flavorless. It wasn't terrible but definitely was just kinda meh and needed the sauces they provided to elevate the flavor. This was maybe a 2-3/5. The next meat was the fatty pork belly. This was a 4/5. I don't LOVE pork belly as it is but to be honest this was seasoned and cooked quite well and I enjoyed it. The next two meats were totally amazing. The pork collar was my absolute favorite. Our server let us know that it can be a hard meat to cook and he did a fabulous job with it. Whatever the marinade was took it over the top and this came out perfectly tender, flavorful, and SUPER juicy! 10/5. I could eat this all day it was so good. The last meat was the spicy bulgogi and it was a 5/5. I loved it and my partner who is spice sensitive also liked it. A note on the spicy food - my partner cannot tolerate spice (yt man problems) and there were a number of things that did or could include spice. The only thing he couldn't eat because of spice issues was the spicy soy paste stew. Everything else (spicy bulgogi, kimchi, etc) was tolerable. So if you're worried about the spice level, don't be. The sauces provided were not spicy either. So, as far as the food went, we were very impressed. We also ordered drinks - I had pear juice which was kinda just 3/5. I didn't expect pulp so that's on me. My partner had the royal court cocktail. 5/5. This was pear with black tea and some spices and it was amazing! I couldn't keep eating it was so much food but my boyfriend didn't want to leave unless we tried dessert lol. So the server recommended the tiramisu and my boyfriend raised his eyebrows at me. This is one of my all time favorite desserts and so I am quite picky. The server said they make a Korean version with soy bean paste mochi and some other alterations. I was pretty skeptical because again I am super picky about traditional tiramisu as it is and I just in general don't love sweet stuff. This tiramisu I am not kidding it is a 10/5. This might be one of the best desserts I've ever had. I didn't really care for the mochi on top but the almond topping combined with the tiramisu was amazing. It has just the right amount of savory in the sweetness, the texture was perfect and the espresso flavor was nice and strong. Totally amazing. Our server told us that the servers who work here love it so much they had to be banned from buying it on their shifts because they would run out so often and I see why! I will dream about this dessert for many days to come... For two people with the combo drinks and dessert it came to about $150ish with taxes and tip. Totally worth it imo. It's definitely a nicer night out at the price point but you will not be disappointed. I am SO excited for the next time we come back! Thank you Bulpan for your awesome food and service - we are looking forward to forward to dining with you again. 감사합니다!
