She had just had it serviced but I had a gut feeling and asked her to pull over. I took her to Mike's since it was right off the freeway. This place was amazing, and Cory was amazing. She had just had new tires installed and turns out something was wrong with the front one as a part had been installed in the wrong location and had become dislodged which was the sound we were hearing. We called at about 7:45 Monday morning and Kevin, the owner, was able to take our truck in right away. Our Ford diesel had a coolant leak, and after diagnosing the problem he carefully inspected the rest of the engine and discovered two additional hoses that were also failing. He ordered the correct parts from the Ford dealership and the staff at Elite Auto & Fleet took care of the parts installation. What really stood out was the customer service. Kevin personally drove us back to the KOA RV Park after we dropped the truck off, and then picked us up when the repair was finished. That kind of service is rare these days. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable about diesel engines, very personable, and clearly has his customers' best interests at heart. The price was very reasonable for diesel repair, and the work was completed quickly--we dropped the truck off Monday morning and were back on the road by about 10:00 AM Tuesday. I truly cannot say enough good things about the service we received. Absolutely no negatives. If you are in the Barstow area and need auto or diesel work, Elite Auto & Fleet is the place to go.

Cylinder 5 misfire was the main code that wasn't there before. Replaced the spark plugs, wires, coil pack. Issue not fixed. Spark plugs needed the replacement. Then next step... replace the cylinder 5 fuel injector...didn't finish until 11:30 at night. Then had the same problem. Need to do compression test next... well we don't bring a compression tester on trail. That is the end of our knowledge. Found these guys! They helped us out! They let us borrow there compression tester. We checked 2 cylinders...5 being on of them... they were the same so we felt that it was something else... found 2 spark plug wires backwards... which at 11:30 at night was possible.

After finding a safe place to park and calling my insurance company USAA who contacted Agero, Clinton was dispatched. He called to check in with me, and informed me that the place USAA or Agero had selected to send my car was a tire shop that was closed for the day. He informed me that there was a small repair shop actually within the parking lot, or if I wanted to get service that was covered by my car warranty, I should ask USAA and Agero to change my towing location to the Valley Hi Kia dealership, and that they lock the gates at night (it was 6pm), so I should schedule the tow for the morning. I highly recommend Clinton. He is a kind, honest, and hard worker. He will give you an honest assessment, and strives to do what is right. Plus, he is quick and efficient at towing cars.
