After being treated like a nuisance at Mojave Ford down the street, we drove our Ford F-150 (which had been jerking on acceleration/shifting) a little way down Main to Mike's. Mike's Auto is the only place I will take my automobile to. The first time I took my Van in was to have my air conditioner serviced, and an oil change. Mike drove me home which was very kind of him, service was great and air conditioner works really good. This year 2023 my check engine light came on, I took it to Mike's and he ran a diagnostic for free, I needed to have a tune up, which Mike's Auto did, fixed the engine light and everything was working great again. My best friend and I were on our way to California from Vegas. When we were leaving Barstow, her car started to make some rattling noises and was bumping up and down. She had just had it serviced but I had a gut feeling and asked her to pull over. I took her to Mike's since it was right off the freeway. This place was amazing, and Cory was amazing. She had just had new tires installed and turns out something was wrong with the front one as a part had been installed in the wrong location and had become dislodged which was the sound we were hearing. He right away was able to take a look and found the problem and fixed it within a half hour. Great service and good people. I have taken my car to three auto shops to get repairs and no one could help me. Mikes had it fixed in less than a day and was a pleasure to deal with.When I dropped off my car I was going to step outside to wait on my husband to pick me up since I knew it was their closing time. They let me stay inside the building to wait on my husband even though it was time for them to close . Truly believe only deserve one star and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I called numerous places asking about who can install my 2010 Lexus hs 250h side mirror and ultimately they gave me the best deal at $80 for an hour and a half of labor to install a new mirror on my car. Once I arrive a little after 9:30 am an employee had to go look for Mike once he arrives he instructed me to move my vehicle into the shop. After I did Mike takes time to open my package containing my new mirror I had ordered offline. Mike takes a look and says he may have to take my door apart in order to run the wire through and states again as he did over the phone that it will be $80 for an hour and a half for labor. I agree to the terms of the deal by this time it's about 9:45 and I'm waiting in the lobby when he comes to me shortly after to instruct me that the mirrors do not match. After this he puts on my old mirror and it's little after after 9:50. Mike tells me he put my old mirror back on and is charging me $50 for less than 10 minutes of work. I ask him why I am being charged more than half the price of our agreement when all he did was instruct me as to why the two mirrors are different. His response was, "I'd charge you $80 if you would've brought the right mirror.". At this point I'm frustrated I'm being charged for a ridiculous price for work he barely did. Since $50 doesn't equate to 10 minutes of work especially when we agreed $80 was for more than an hours worth of work. I paid the fee just to get my keys back and leave since he kept my keys out of my sight and did not tell me the location of where they were until after I paid. read more

First you came to My facility unannounced without an appointment. security camera shows you entering @9:19 leaving @ 9:54 do the math. I was on the phone helping other people when you drove up. You were not being ignored. I saw you drive up no one needed to GO FIND ME. You brought your own parts that that appeared to be the correct ones. Labor guide calls for .7 hours to replace @$110=$77. You questioned me why I charged you $50. dollars when I quoted you $80. dollars you were given a realistic price for time spent. "Charged for a ridiculous price for work he barely did" you were shown the the mirrors when removed they did not remove themselves did they? "I paid the fee just to get my keys back" When you asked for your keys I said they were in the Vehicle they were NEVER withheld from you at any time before or after the work. Had you been a little apologetic for supplying the wrong parts and asked if I could find the correct parts for your white Luxus I might have done that, and installed for an even a lesser price. You are a Perfect example of why Garages don't like to or ever should do work with customer supplied parts. read more

This place should be called , " Get a Second Opinion ,because I'm going g to RIP YOU OFF"...After taking my car in for a noise in the front end, they told me the repairs could be close to 800 dollars. They told me they put it up on the rack and they would have to take it apart to figure out the exact problem. And insisted that I must have HIT something real bad, and my car was unsafe to drive....it scared me at first but when I was forced to drive down the hill for an emergency and my car didn't kill me I took it into another shop. Richard was great, he put it on the rack and with in 30 minutes he's found the problem, just a quick tightening of a couple bolts and my car was fixed...long story short, just go somewhere else to get your car looked at... I wish there was a ZERO STAR BUTTON. read more

Our alternator went out on our car on the way home from Santa Fe. I looked up repair places and found Mike's.
