Casey's Auto helped me fixed my window motor. I was able to drop it off in the morning, with their drop off box, and pick it up after work. Thank you for letting us do this! HOWEVER, once they fixed my window motor, I was not able to open that door. BUT, when I called them to explain the situation, they told me to bring it in and fixed it for free. BUT, mind you, it also took a few days to do it. :( All in All... It was a great shop and I recommend it because they're easy to talk to and they explain everything to the point to where you aren't wasting money. Be ADVISED! They were not able to take Credit Card or Debit payments on site because of an issue with fraud. So I had to pay through Cash App or Zelle. Went in for a jeep clutch install and oil change. Really helpful and worked with my schedule. Good price. It's been over month and I have not driven my jeep much at all. Started getting odd noises from under my feet. The mechanic did not bolt everything back on. Nuts were just placed on bolts on my support/ rock guard. Casey helped us out of a bad situation. Our land rover, Salty, who likes to break when it is not convenient, decided to act like a jerk when we were driving through Barstow. Luckily, we limped to Autozone in Barstow, got a very nice man (the store manager, Corey, i think) to recommend us to Casey. Fortunately he was open and was the best thing to happen to us out in the desert. Our spark plug wires were all messed up and we weren't going anywhere. Casey wasn't able to get the wires to replace them but was able to repair them on the spot. Honest, nice, inexpensive and fast! These are not adjectives usually used in the same sentence as anything Land Rover, sadly. I cannot thank Casey enough for getting my baby out of the 108 degree heat as fast as possible. We were 500 miles into 2000 mile road trip and spent the night in Barstow. In the morning, just as we were about to get on the road, our check engine light went on and the Drive indicator started flashing. The manual said that this indicated a transmission issue. Not good. Fortunately, we were a tenth of a mile away from Casey's and they were, according to Yelp, opening in just 10 minutes at 9 AM. At precisely 9 AM, the doors to Casey's garage rolled up. I walked in and explained my situation. They told me that Casey had a couple of other early appointments so I might have to wait an hour or so but that they would try to squeeze me in. I left the keys with them and walked to the coffee shop nearby where my family was waiting. Not 35 minutes later, the shop called said everything was OK and Casey would explain more when I got back. I walked back to the shop and Casey had written up the issue: transmission range switch. The transmission itself was fine (phew!); the switch should be replaced eventually, but road trip saved. Casey also took the time to personally explain and then sent me off with a firm handshake and a smile. Wonderful service! read more

2012 Silverado truck had a check engine light come on 1 hour into our trip in Baker. After checking the usual suspects of fuel intake properly sealed and fluids ok, we determined to continue to Barstow and find a mechanic who might be open on Christmas Eve. We found Casey's Auto Service. Casey took time to diagnose our vehicle by tracking down that it was running rich. A bit more diagnostics and he reset the computer component that was causing the rich fuel run, cleared the engine light and sent us on our way. We appreciated his willingness to work us in as well as explain how the sensors detect fuel and oxygen levels. If we lived in Barstow, Casey would be our mechanic. Fall 2014- Started out great. Casey seemed friendly, confident, and knowledgeable in fixing our 2007 Honda Accord V6 that needed major transmission repair/fix. Which is great since I live in the OC, and my dad lives in Barstow. Not a lot of options when I live over an hour away. After dropping it off he said in the next day or so he would finish a Kia so the Accord could take up a lift. He said he would contact us as soon as the transmission was at his tranny shop for a rebuild (all new apparently) to let us know a more solid price, as we were told 2500-2850 no greater than 3000. After a week and a half of no phone calls or communication, I called several times. The phone rings and goes to unset up voicemail. I sent my dad to stop by, was told a week after that. Attempted to call again by that time. No response. Sent my brother this time. Thursday if that week. I called on Thursday. Finally got ahold of him (via I assume his GF) who had difficulty relaying information to us. My mom (her car) answered and demanded that we speak to him, he later called back. He was aggressive, confrontational, and disrespectful to my mother. Her tone can be stern, but her words were appropriate. She was asking for an update, and began telling her how every time we try to get ahold of him or get an update it delays his work by days. His temper got the best of him and he said hell throw in the old tranny if it suits her better. She asked about the price and he stated "price us unchanged". He originally gave us a range... 2500-3000 is a big range, and 500$ can really break the bank... He said a week from that phone call the car would be done. I try to call again (a week later on a Friday) and I get his GF again, and were told it would be ready Monday.. I'm pretty pissed at this point. I drive down to Barstow and wait. And wait. And wait. God forbid I call him and it delays the repairs another month. I just show up, and guess what, cars not done! Come back tomorrow he says. I do that. I get a call that day and yes its done. 2850. Good thing I broke the bank to get 3000. So there's oil all over the trunk. That sucks. Driving it home the airbag light is on. WTH? Trying to use the horn. No horn???? Nothing on the steering wheel is working.. Did my research online and the internal clock spring may be broken. I take it back right away and drop it off with him. He says to go have lunch and hell see what's up with it. I do so, and come back two hours later. I walk up to it and the whole steering column is disassembled. He walks over and says it'll be longer, "come back later". I know his shop closes around 5/6 so I made an effort to stop by at 4:30. I walk up... And it looks the exact same as before. I'm standing directly next to my car, and I'm trying to see where everyone is. Casey plus two other mechanics are on the hood of another car in front of NY car in the shop. They keep making eye contact but won't awknoledge me.. " Hi, Casey?" No response. I start to count the minutes as I stare at them, beyond belief how effing retarded this has become. 34 minutes by my watch before Casey walks past me and says the other guys are working on your clock spring. I then wait. And wait. And wait. I had a good chance to look at the shop and its a disgrace. Tools everywhere. Unorganized, and I'm pretty sure its not up to OSHA standards. I seriously wouldn't be surprised is some part or tool caught fire, unless its a normal occurrence and happens daily. I think there's more of a chance of a fire starting than a storm tripper missing its target or a red shirt dying on an away team. 2 hours. 10 minutes later. A nameless grunt comes and speaks to me, tells me they have to order a part from Honda and I need to come back tomorrow. O. M. G. Idgaf. What ever. I get a call, cars done. I go pick it up. It drives. Everything works as far as I can tell. I need to have priests of every religion bless this car because I would rather fight a Rancor naked with no weapons than EVER come back to this shop for any reason. You couldn't dangle "Free lifetime In N out with every new repair" in front if my face. I choose a life with out In n out!!! But, I MUST leave with one positive. I drove the car to Denver two weeks later and I had no transmission problems. I'm sure there's some duct tape and left over tools inside of there to keep it going for a while. Update: 3/7/15 Car is still driving but had timing belt done and a few other parts replaced. Mechanic walked me through a few of the transmission "repairs" and things were left out, not bolted or screwed down, and there was a small tool left in the engine. I had those things fixed up, but thinking back so many terrible things could of happened to me while driving it. read more

As of the current moment, I dislike Casey's very much. My car got towed there a couple days ago from the side of the road. I have been trying to get ahold of Casey since the car got there & NO ANSWER! Being as though I am not from the area of the shop, it is important that i know how my car is. But it is difficult to find out when no one will answer the fucking phone!!! My car is going to be there for close to a week & if I have to drive down to Barstow, I seriously doubt any of the men there will be happy to have two very upset and raging women telling them to pull their head out of their asses. Story of every Vegas road trip... car trouble!!! After being towed to the middle no where and dropped off at a classy motel 6 ... (sighhhh) We woke up and ventured out to Caseys Auto Repair...closed. So we drove down the road to find another shop and stumbled upon Caseys 2...with doors wide open!!!!! Wednesday, March 11, 2015... Our visit started out great. Casey seemed friendly and eager to help us fix our 2012 Dodge Durango. He said it needed a new water pump. Trusting him we allowed him to order the pump and he told us to come back at 8am 2 days later on a Friday. We arrived promptly at 8am Friday morning and to our surprise his shop was still closed. Thinking he was running late we waited patiently until 830. We then started calling and knocking on the door for another hour. By 930 it was obvious that no one was opening up anytime soon. We called American Tire Depot and they told us to bring it right down. We dropped it off at 945 and to our surprise they took our Durango in immediately and began working on it. We were dumbfounded as to why Casey told us it would be 2 days to get the water pump and Mike at American Tire Depot got the part in less than an hour and cheaper than what Casey quoted us. If I could give this shop zero stars I would! They were very unprofessional and high priced... I wonder what this schmuck needed extra cash for? Wow, there isn't nearly enough nice things I could say about Casey and his shop. My husband trusted his friend to fix a cylinder misfire on our jeep and he broke the intake manifold in the process. We live on the army post Fort Irwin and had to tow the car 30+ miles to Barstow. We called Casey before from a few mechanic listings and he stood out the most to us because he was very polite and knowledgable about what happened with just our phone call. When my husband got there he took the car in right away and turned a 2 day job into a priority that took him the whole day to finish. Superb work and he gave us a very generous price for the job. I am so incredibly grateful, the jeep is the only car we have for our family of three and times are tight. So, you're driving from LA to Vegas, eager to reunite with some buddies from collage for what has now become an annual trip over the last three years. Your car is older, but well maintained - but you know, it's older....things can well, just break. The car feels great, but when you stop to get something to eat in Barstow, your coolant light goes on. Turn the car off, turn it back on again and the light vanishes. Hmmm....do I just ignore that and keep going to Vegas? Glad I didn't. I google mechanics in the area, and I'm right down the street from Casey, so off I go. Casey, his staff, and Stacy could not have been nicer - setting me up to do a little work in their office - and making the repair (coolant reservoir.) quickly, and frankly for a lot less than I expected. I appreciated the fuel pump replacement but they broke or failed to install the wire to the sending unit, now i have no fuel gauge and can't find a new one for my 87 El Camino, they didnt tell me, left me to drive away and now it is going to cost me large.....it was an hour or so before i realized my gas guage wasnt working anymore. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received at Casey's Auto Service. I brought my car in for a second opinion - the dealer recommended a service that I didn't think would solve the problem, but I'm no mechanic. I arrived without an appointment, and Casey took my car for a test drive to see if he could figure out the problem. A closer inspection was needed. I came back after a lift was open, and he proceeded to inspect my vehicle. Casey explained everything thoroughly, stating he could fix the issue the dealer identified, but that it would not solve the problem. In fact, he didn't recommend any services due to the estimated expense and possibility that it wouldn't fix the issue. In the end, I didn't use Casey's for a repair, but I will definitely return (if needed), and recommend his services to others. As a woman, I have a difficult time trusting mechanics due to several bad experiences (even at mechanics that treated my husband with complete respect). I'm on my way to a backpacking trip in Death Valley. As I approached Barstow last night, I started to hear a whine/chirping sound coming from my 4Runner. It was a mystery sound that has been occurring on-and-off for 6 months. I stayed in Barstow overnight, looked at Yelp reviews, and decided to go To Casey's. I was extremely worried that it was a problem with a U-joint or something on the drive train. I was expecting it to be an expensive repair. When I showed up, I explained the problem to him, and he took it out for a test drive to hear the sound, and inspect the vehicle. He came back and told me what it was a minor issue, and explained it in detail. He was very patient with all of my questions. He was a great guy and I'll definitely stop by in the future! read more

We were on our way home to Albuquerque from Anaheim when my alternator went out just outside of Barstow, Ca. I went to Casey's Automotive Services 2 and Mario was amazing. He stopped what he was working on to try and fix my car. We found out that not only did the alternator go bad but it fried my computer. He took the time to take me and my family to a hotel for the night. Because he couldn't get the part until the middle of the next week and I had to get home but couldn't rent a car lent me one of the shop cars so I was able to go home. It was not a fun experience but Mario at least made it workable. If I lived in Barstow he would be my regular mechanic without any questions. read more

My air conditioning stopped working as I was driving from colorado to LA. I literally showed up wanting to faint, puke and cry all at the same time since we had driven through hours of 115 degree weather. I was obviously desperate to fix it and was so relieved that when I got back to LA a friend mechanic of mine said I got a great and fair price from Mario. Such a cool dude he showed me exactly where the leak was in my air conditioning and explained clearly without any pressure all of my options. He even handed us some ice cold ginger ale, talk about service! He also spotted a broken beak in one of my tires and reccomended me to the best most reliable tire place in town whom also gave us a great deal. WARNING************WARNING*************WARNING****************WARNING************WARNING ATTENTION TO ALL MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS, DO NOT HAVE YOUR POV SERVICED OR FIXED HERE! COME AT YOUR OWN RISK! THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE! I picked up my POV yesterday from this place after a MONTH and drove it around Barstow for a bit to make sure it was good. The first thing I noticed was the dashboard had been cracked, broken and put back together with glue. Trash and a random fanny pack (not mine). But on the way back to post (IVO painted rocks) there was a grinding sound every time I pushed on the brakes. After I got home I had a quick look and there was a bolt missing from the brake mount! I called the shop but no answer. The next morning (Saturday) I decide to take the top identical bolt to Casey's shop so he knows what I'm talking about & I can bring it home to finish the job myself. Surprise Surprise, I was able to take the bolt off with my hands. No tools needed (WOW) I took my wife's car down there and yet again, Surprise Surprise, the shop is closed. I had trip to big bear planned.... I went to EVERY auto shop in Barstow but only auto zone was able to order it and have it sent to my house on Tuesday. (3 days after it was "good to go") Like I said my POV was there for about a month after Casey told me it would only take 1 week, I WAS NEVER ABLE TO SPEAK WITH CASEY. I WAS LUCKY WHEN SOMEONE ANSWERED THE PHONE! We on post know that as close as Barstow is, its still not a convenient drive. But I felt like I had to stop by (multiple times) and ask "WHATS UP WITH THE CAR" he went on saying it would only be 1 week longer every time. I exercised ALOT of patience while dealing with this place and now I'm done. I will do my best to ensure none of my brothers and sisters in arms comes into contact with this place.
