As we got closer to the pickup date, I contacted the company to double check what all payments would be coming out of my account. I was told one thing, and then there were additional charges taken out of my account outside of what was discussed. When I called to inquire about this, I was given the runaround, they had to listen to the calls to be sure that I was telling the truth, and guess what? I was. Their error caused my account to go into the negative and they told me it would take 7-14 business days to get it back. I'm a single mother and am on a limited income. When I asked what they were going to do to attempt to rectify the situation, the answer was nothing. This came directly from a manager. So I asked to speak to the manager's manager. When I did so, I was told "He's not going to tell you anything different". I've worked in Customer Service, and you don't even have to work in Customer Service to know that's a no-no. It is about one of the worst things you can do when it comes to customer service and quality assurance. I was misinformed, and they need to take accountability for this. Not to mention, their 12-hour pickup window is an absolute joke. You can't even find out when they are coming to pick your pod up or when they will deliver it. You can't even call the morning of after the dispatcher has made the schedule. I will never ever use this company for service again, nor would I recommend them whatsoever.

I rented a bin and upon receiving it, I discovered that it had several leaks and water was pooling inside the container. Had it not have been raining when I received it and I had moved my things in there and then it had rained, my belongings would have been destroyed. These bins are marketed as waterproof when in fact they are not. I contacted the customer service team who advised they would send a replacement container the next day by 9am. The container did not arrive at the promised time and after contacting customer service again, they advised it would be 3pm at the latest. These mistakes caused unforeseen delays that shouldn't have existed in the first place had their container not been faulty. Upon receiving the second container, I inspected it to ensure it was not faulty as well. Upon opening the replacement container it also had water inside of it. I had to take several additional measures to ensure that my items would not be damaged in the event of more rain including propping everything off the ground with plywood and covering everything in tarps. Upon bringing my concerns to the attention of the customer service team, I have yet to get a response. Their attention to my concerns and the way they have handled this situation in its entirety is deplorable and I cannot recommend this company to anyone. You're better off to utilize the services of another company. Save yourself the headache.

Well, I am moving- moving from Mission ( the flood was interesting :( - my VW beetle never…read moresurvived it ) to a condo I have bought - so Woohoo! I am excited for sure. I was looking for a good option for boxes - in the past Ive done the cardboard liquor store box thing - my sister advised I never do that again! So I did some research and got 2 quotes, one from Frogbox and one from Ecobox. Ecobox was literally more than 50% less. Now you may be thinking, why would I want to rent boxes? Well primarily - it makes the moving day easier, the boxes are uniform, stack and work and add in delivery and pick up and its a very good thing. Ecobox has free delivery and pick up - Frogbox did not ( a 55 dollar savings). I ordered the # 2 combo - 25 regular size ( they are the green boxes ) and 10 of the large ( blue), for 5 weeks of rentals it cost me about 140 bucks. Good thing too, is that renting boxes is a good motivator to unpack all your stuff and set up your new pad. The boxes themselves are solid plastic ( not too heavy with locking lids ( no tape needed of course) the handles are soft round edged plastic, not sharp. Very easy to move and lift. Now onto the details of my experience. First impression - the website was easy to use and the confirmation email back was great - very friendly and easy - everything on the receipt was worded in a way that was very cool. Almost conversational, a little detail, but cool. I followed up with a phone call just to double check - the woman on the phone was sooo nice. I ended up asking for them a week earlier to make sure I have enough time to pack, and the girl said no worries - they will just bill you when they drop em off. So today the boxes arrived ( my drop off window was between 10am and 12 pm and they were right on time - literally just before 10. The guys were incredibily friendly and "real" - genuine is perhaps a better word. Very nice. They zipped my credit card through a little card reader on an iphone ( cool) and emailed the receipt for the extra week I requested. Even gave me labels for my boxes. Next time I see these folks will be on pick up day. All in all, a great experience and I cant recommend them enough. It definitely paid to shop around. Ecobox is great - and great for the environment too. Love it.
