I figured it was destined to become a boat anchor for sure. My wife said "Take it to Ed. He fixed mine." Sure. Why not... Ed took it in, disassembled, and sent me photos the next day of the damaged/gummed up areas. I was not optimistic. Looked bad. He offered to attempt clean it first with solvent, for a very reasonable price, before resorting to replacement of the motherboard for big bucks. Still not great. Kevin fixed this. He had us send it all back to Amazon. He told us what to buy instead. He set it up for us. Now we have great WiFi all over the house, upstairs, downstairs, garage. I ended up buying a new version of the same laptop to transfer the data over to and they did all the work very quickly which helped me get back to work quickly.

I dropped off my laptop because the battery was not charging after I installed a new one…read more The tech called me a week or so latter and said it wouldn't boot up and that the motherboard was fried. I picked it up and when I got home plugged it in and after a while it booted up. I installed another battery and it now works perfectly. It cost me $50 at Kevin's, not worth it, don't go.
