When I arrived to the office on Duchess turnpike, Mark greeted me and took time out of his day to show me a few options. Although the trucks that he showed me was not the one I eventually wound up with I was pleasantly surprised with the Nissan titan. This truck had enough cargo space for my daughter's belongings and to seat three people comfortably. The trip was over 300 miles one way and this vehicle had more than enough power and more than enough space to meet our needs. I was even called the day prior to my reservation and I guess it was available that day. However, I was working and was not able to pick the vehicle up one day sooner. I felt that was a nice touch so that's what set the tone for the remainder of my interactions with the staff. Check in was super easy and everything now is digital so you got your contract via email. They did a walk around to show me any prior damage which was appreciated and when I returned the vehicle, the same a walk around revealed no additional damage, so the return process was equally simple. I had used enterprise many years ago, and I would have to say this experience far exceeded my prior experiences not at this location!! So great job I would definitely recommend this business to anyone in need of a short term or weekly rental.

Call me fussy, but repeatedly I declined. I have insurance so I don't need additional despite what they say. Call me high maintenance. They're the only game in town, but they truly suck.

We booked and paid two months in advance, and while the…read moreowner/manager said everything was in order, he told us he couldn't give us a car until we gave him the discount code we used... which was on the other side of the country on a laptop we left at home. We explained this to him politely and patiently... a dozen times? And he smirked at us and just repeated that he "simply needed the code". We asked for alternatives, and he smirked and repeated himself. I show him our booking confirmation, our payment receipt. Apparently not helpful... though we have never had to do this any other time we rented a car. He recommended we call customer support... which was also no help. After more than a half hour of back and forth with him saying the same sh*t over and over, we started losing patience, and I told him I had my dying father outside and that this was ridiculous and we needed to leave. He eventually told us what the code started with... so he has the code after all. He refuses to give us the rest of the code. We called up someone on the other side of the country trying to get this code so we can just finally leave, which doesn't work either. Then... and again, this is over a half hour later, he said it would have been emailed to us. WHY DID HE NOT TELL US THAT in the first place??? We found it and gave him the code and he said "see, was that so hard?". I am not kidding. These are quotes. Why did we need to provide a code we used at checkout months ago? Why the smirks and the frustrating repetitive refrain to every question we ask? And why withhold information he clearly had in front of him? We will never truly know, but our theory is that he was trying to get us to agree to pay the full amount, not the discounted amount, even for a reservation we paid for two months in advance. It was all indescribably unprofessional. While the Hertz next door also has poor reviews, I recommend you go there instead. It's been a couple of weeks now and I'm still incredulous. This man should not be running a business.
